The dentists at this place are ok, but their policy on cancelled appointments is absurd. If you aren't able to make 2 appointments TOTAL, and need to reschedule - they will cancel your account and tell you they cannot see your child and to see a different dentist. They do NOT let you know this at the time of needing to cancel and reschedule the appointment. Instead, they kindly let you know when you call to reschedule that they have ended your account. It does not help that they schedule appointments 2-3 months in advance. It's a pretty terrible experience.

Dr. Langguth is absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately, my 4 year old son needed two dental procedures done about a month apart, but fortunately he was under Dr. Langguth and his team's care. Thank you!

Beware! If you do not cancel your appointments 2 days in advance they will charge you for a full appointment. They were willing to lose a family of 3 kids for a $100 fee when they can easily fill that spot in 2 days. Loser of a company and terrible policies.

Good dentist horrible policies and they don't consider the patient situation, so obsessed about COVID just take care of the patient Also when I asked for higher ups she said they there are none and refused to give any contacts

Do not go to this practice!! They are completely disorganized and have patients sitting in a small hallway waiting for our appointment. Your confirmation text message should state for patients to call from their car to check in like any other courteous doctor office. Then because they heard my son cough, they wouldnt see him. Its no wonder you are seeing adults now, I do not know any parent with a 2 year old that can say there has been no cough or congestion in the past two weeks!!! We as a society can appreciate caution with covid but your guidelines are impossible to meet when we are talking about children. Lose our number, email, etc.. we will never use this practice.

I have to share our experience with Dr. Devin J. Langguth. My daughter is 5 and has some of the worst dental anxiety/Doctor anxiety I've ever seen. I mean foaming at the mouth, exorcism level panic attacks. We first met Dr.Dev at another practice and had to follow him over 2 hours away because no other dentists has compared because he is that good with our daughter. He constantly reassured her and explained what was happening so that she could be at ease. Tonight after dinner, the same day as having major dental work done by Dr.Dev she was complaining of a tummy ache. She looks up at her mom and asks us if a dentist could be a doctor so that she could go see Dr.Dev for her tummy ache. We obviously explained that Dr.Dev is a doctor but one that just works on teeth. I would just recommend him to anyone that asks. Thank you Dr. Devin J. Langguth and team for taking care of my little girl and her smile. You're helping set my daughter up for a life full of enjoyable dental visits.

Extremely bad customer service! Rude and communication between patients and front desk is horrible.

The dental care is great. I have two children and have seen a few providers there. (They do try to keep you with the same provider.) The rating is more for their office policies. Working in health care I get frustrated by no shows, but also recognize their policies are extremely strict. If you don't respond to the reminder text, it constitutes a no show. You owe a fee and also lose your appointment time. Also, they have the right to remove you as a patient if you no show ONE appointment. Office staff has been nice the majority of the time, but have experienced an unprofessional response from them as other reviews indicate. Again- the providers are nice, but I regularly consider leaving and finding another dentist for my children. They have an adult dentist I was interested in using (to keep everything convenient), but decided not to due to these policies.

I understand that their are policies and restriction due to current pandemic events. However, a child deserves care. To explain to a parent that your child will be denied their appointment is they cannot wear a mask is as inhumane as I imagine. Why you would whole heartedly defend that action I will never know. Especially when you allow patients and employees to interchangeably touch the same surfaces. It makes no sense. I will not be bringing my child back to your cowardly practice.

I literally cannot describe how caring Dr. Bross and his staff are. They are definitely one of a kind! My son has Williams Syndrome and has always been extremely terrified of the dentist. Dr. Bross and his team take the time to ensure my son is calm and shower him with praise to help him get through a very anxiety-ridden event. They take breaks as needed and even held his little hand. Today he was so excited to show off his clean teeth and little prize after a super successful visit.

We've been going to this office for 6 years and I'm at my wits end. The providers are great with kids. The office staff is not. You have to cancel your appointments, not within 2 days prior, but 2 BUSINESS days prior. I was charged $140 for my two kids 'missed appointments' because I called Friday morning for a Monday morning appt. Look, I worked in dental offices for 7 years and you do get people that repeatedly cost you money. I gave plenty of notice and they literally have 5 women upfront that are paid to fill those openings. So yesterday they call (within less than 2 business days), to tell me my insurance didn't pay for our cleanings and our balance is $600. I said okay I'll contact the insurance, but in the meantime I don't want to keep the appointment because they may kick that one back too and thats a big balance. They said I would have to pay for the small filling out of pocket and it's $390. Went as far as telling me I can finance it with them. And so- they leave me no choice. I can't afford $390 (especially if I have to pay the other $600) and so I am forced to cancel. They charge me $100 cancellation fee. I am a reasonable person and I believe in having policies. But I also believe in being a decent human-being with a heart.

After being text messaged to call before noon to cancel we were told that the fees wouldn't be removed even though we called before noon...? Why would this be?.. since we followed policy according to Naptown Smiles? The "manager" (she at least told us she was a manager but no actual business person would speak to a customer like this) explained that text msg was in error and we needed to pay the fees still. This was when we simply wanted to speak with someone else who understood customer service a bit better. When you- as a business say something... you can't go back and say "my bad- your still paying". No. That's called fraud, extortion, etc. The "manager" then told us we were rude and she disenrolled both of my children from their practice. The same children who have seen this dentistry for 10 years without a single problem...ever. Not one. So as punishment from the front desk ladies on a power trip both of my children have been asked not to return. There was no cursing on the phone. And I would be glad to post the recording of the call (I have). I'll also include the text msg image. RUN AWAY!!! from this place as fast as possible. I'll never recommend this place to an enemy. Complete torture to speak with the office.

Before covid it was a great place but now with new policies it's not worth the hassle. My kids cleanings in July scheduled but found out the night before a guest at my ex-husband s house tested positive for covid. Per there policy they couldn't be seen. We found out after hours. I had spent a week confirming the appts which they still threatened to cancel so I call. Oh! They are changing my appt time due to doctor changes! On Friday my appt is Tuesday. They changed my appt from afternoon to morning. When I find out I still take my other 2 boys and explain the girls were at their dad's and we just found out last night. The front desk told me oh well. Should have called and left a message they could have filled those spots and charged me $100. I refused to pay. A few months later they call me like bring in the girls. I explain they waive the fees and ask me to come in the next day. I do so. My kids have cavities so we needed follow up appts. My daughter's appt is Monday after a holiday which they were closed for. I show up on time to the appt and they canceled it!!! Telling me since I didn't confirm the text they sent 7 Days ago. She said well you could have called! Why do I need to call you? I made the appt?!?. I swear I'm done. They wasted my time and gas. I have never no showed to an appt. I had a sitter to comply with their policy to not have other kids with me. I'm done .

Front desk girls are very obnoxious and rude. If your kid is sick and you're not able to predict the future and cancel days in advance, you will be charged a cancellation fee. But you can't bring a sick kid in either.

If you have MD Medicaid... My kids had an appointment, which I confirmed. My husband and I have 2 cars, but one broke down, leaving my 4 kids without transportation for Dr and dental appointment, etc...I called the health department for transportation services and was not eligible for services due to the fact that we have one operating vehicle, period. This was not Naptown Smile's fault, I want to be clear. I called Naptown Smiles to cancel the appointments and they charged me a cancellation fee, per kid, in the amount of $140. Apparently they weren't suppose to charge me at all because of having insurance through the state. My whole thing is if you provide services to Medicaid patiences, why aren't you knowledgeable on this. The person who answered the phone said she will need to call Maryland to verify this. Ma'am, why do you even need to verify, you should know or someone in your office should know, right!? I was put on hold and then the lady came back on the phone to get my banking information, so she can issue my refund and immediately tells me that I need to find a new dental office for my kids. I'm like WOW! I did, however, recall signing a form saying that they reserve the right to refuse services to anyone who has many missed appointments, or something of that nature, etc.. but I also know that "reserving the right" is a CHOICE! They weren't telling me to go somewhere else when they charged me that $140, but when I let them know about that Medicaid policy that prevents them from charging me, I need to find a new office!?! Naptown Smiles need to get it together because someone else could easily say y'all discriminated based on income status.

We loved this dental. they are very friendly and nice. But policy changed somehow and I did not know. no remind call anymore ( booked 5 month ago), you must reconfirm 48 hours before if not, your appoint will be canceled and you will receive $35 bill for cancelation. I called them day before and they said my daughter's appointment has been canceled already. Now I have to pay $35. Yes it is very nice business.

Dr. Bross and his staff are very accommodating and value their clients. They were able overcome my child's major anxiety associated with his dental visit. I would highly recommend this office, yiu will not be disappointed by the professionalism as well as the modern technology they use.

Tried to R/S my son's appt at 49 hrs prior, to be told that they cancelled it bc they didn't hear from me. So then I said well let me just keep the same appt. They then said I couldn't have his original appt bc they already filled it with another patient. She goes on to tell me I am going to be charged the $35 fee. Fast forward of course I get the bill, I write a letter to ask for a waived charged due to the above circumstances. They reply back to my letter with LIES. Stating they tried to get ahold of my sons dad as well- (Dad never was contacted- no VM or texts). Only texts/VM that were received were by me and I didn't get them prior to honestly bc I don't pay attention to unknown numbers (lesson learned). So I will be accountable to that part. But here's the biggest issue- number one no reason to charge a missed appt fee if there was no loss in revenue- I was clearly told that my sons initial appt time was filled. Number two- the stated policy that we signed when joining the practices said 48 hrs advanced notice to r/s or cancel- I fulfilled that. Just bc they decided to take advantage of their patients and change that to the stupidest clause ever "48 hrs but not including the day of the appt" in the middle of a pandemic- ridiculous. And 48 hrs is 48 hrs so to say "not including the day of" is stupid- just say 72 hrs then. Number three- their reply stated they offered me an appt that same day but at another time and that I declined the appt- BOLD FACE LIE. This office is absolutely awful. Full of lies, no accountability to their bad practices, rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Steer clear- it's easily noticed now that my experience was NOT an isolated incident. I attached the screenshot of their office financial policy straight from the website that I accessed still today 4/02/21 that proves 48 hrs..
