Dr. Gabriel Murphy was born in Valparaiso and raised in Antofagasta, Chile. In his last year of high school in the year 2000, Dr. Murphy participated in an exchange program and was placed in Phoenix, Arizona. After having a great experience in the USA, he knew he wanted to return to work here, raise his family and have the opportunity to expand his education and career.

Dr. Murphy entered the Universidad de Antofagasta for dental school in 2001. Upon graduation he worked as an instructor at his dental school and part time private practice. In 2012 his wife was accepted to the Master of Chemical Engineering program in TTU, Cookeville, Tennessee. In 2016 Dr. Murphy was accepted into the two-year AEGD (Advance Education in General Dentistry) graduate program at Eastman Dental Institute, University of Rochester. Once this program was completed, Dr. Murphy decided to deepen his knowledge in another graduate program GPR (General Practice Program) for one year at Strong Hospital, University of Rochester. He focused on hospital dentistry and complex patients. Before ending his residency, he received a Master of Science from Warner School at University of Rochester in 2019.

Dr. Murphy, with his wife Kate and his three beautiful children, now enjoy year-round activities in the Finger Lakes region. From golf in the summer to skiing in winter, they stay occupied with all this area of New York has to offer. He loves the beauty of Upstate New York and knows he has chosen a great place to raise his family and continue his dentistry work. He feels extremely grateful and blessed to be a part of the Naples Valley Dental team and care for and maintain the oral health of this wonderful community.

Dr. Alexandra Symans was born and raised in Patton, Pennsylvania. After high school, Alex majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014. She received her DMD from Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2018.

Dr. Symans believes the mouth is the gateway to the body, and strives to improve the overall health of her patients by improving their oral health. She finds the dental field extremely rewarding, especially seeing the effect that a restored smile can bring to her patients confidence and well-being. When not thinking about teeth, Dr. Symans enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and her rescue dog, Cooper. Cooper likes to take Dr. Symans out for runs, in between getting treats and belly rubs, of course. Chris and Alex stay active with hiking and boating around Canandaigua Lake, and they are grateful to be a part of our beautiful community here in Naples.

Dr. Wayne Chanler is a graduate of Washington University School of Dental Medicine. He served in the Public Health Service, a branch of the US Navy, for 2 years as a Captain. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the 7th District Dental Society and the Ontario County Dental Society. He served as Secretary of the 7th District Dental Society for 7 years, as well as their EDPAC chairman.

Dr. Chanler has completed a 3-year course in straight wire orthodontics in Buffalo, NY. His Continuing Education courses include an Implant Practicum, Invisalign, Lumineers, Periodontics and Full Mouth Cosmetics.

I had some VERY BAD experiences as a kid with the dentist. So from then on it has given me high levels of anxiety until I started going here. The staff is professional, caring, and personable. The work is second to none. They even went out of their way (which they absolutely didn't have to) to work with me when my insurance refused to. I'll never be looking for a new dentist again. I'd give 100 stars if I could.

Love the newly renovated office! From the minute I walked in the door constant measures were taken by all staff to ensure my safety. Natasha was very thorough but gentle at the same time and always so personable. My teeth never felt cleaner! Doc and Anastasia work extremely well as a team making my entire time in the dental chair a pleasant one. Not only did I NOT feel the injection but I was continually asked how I was doing and if I needed anything. I was even offered a blanket! I love having perfectionists work on my teeth . An overall great experience!

I have been a patient of Dr. Chanler for the entire time he has practiced in Naples. Through the years I have needed extensive treatment and Dr. has provided that. Although there have been many staff changes through the years, currently hygienist Natasha does a thorough and excellent cleaning. Thank you too, for keeping us safe.

The disrespect that I feel from the ladies at the front desk is really disturbing. I hate to give this place a bad review because of them but it's true that they really have a tendency to set the whole mood and atmosphere. After my first visit, I thought maybe they were just having a bad day , but the disrespect continues every time I go back. As a single mom, last time I had to take my two young children with me to my appointment. I had them sit off to the side with my cell phone to keep them occupied so they wouldn't be any kind of a disruption. One of the ladies came over and was very confrontational about the fact that my children aren't welcome to come in with me to my appointments. I asked her if Naples was a safe place to leave young children in the car unattended. She said that was not her concern. Today, the one lady who took my temperature, rolled her eyes at me when I spoke of something that I was unable to do , and then as soon as I took a seat, she began to make conversation with the other lady , belittling my medical condition loudly enough for me to clearly hear everything she was saying. I would think it would be much more professional to keep their uneducated opinions to themselves. Having said that, the staff in the back room are much friendlier , and make me feel like I matter, which is why I am giving them a 3-star rating rather than a 1-star.

I have been going here for as long as I can remember. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the experience has been very professional. I have had a few fillings done which they took into account my need for extra numbing. They make sure each time I am properly prepared for the procedures and that I am comfortable throughout. Not being very experienced with the side effects of the numbing agent I was a bit nervous when it made me shaky, but they were quick to reassure me that it was normal and check how I was the whole time. I've never had a problem with them and love going there.

If it were possible to give zero stars this is what this place would get. I'm disabled and unfortunately am dependant on state health insurance. Out of the three choices given I opted for this abomination as it was closest. I went and was told all of my teeth must be extracted for dentures. Devastating as that was I went on 3/26/2021 and had all of my teeth pulled. I was told about eight weeks and I'd have dentures. Nope. On 6/22/2021 they FINALLY put dentures in my mouth (I was NEVER even offered temporary dentures so you are the sum total of your insurance card there). They looked NOTHING like any tooth that was previously in my head, left my lower face shrunken to the point I had NO upper lip and they were too large because after 3 months of living solely on Carnation Instant Breakfast I had lost massive amounts of weight. I refused these dentures and asked for a referral. Got none. They actually charged my insurance for these clown teeth although they have NEVER been in my possession. I cannot through my insurance get teeth for eight years should I be able to survive in Carnation Instant Breakfast that long. Is that bad? Yes but while I'm in tears in this chair I've got Dr Gabriel Murphy-Echeverria sticking his hand in my face on more than one appointment telling me if I didn't like it I could go elsewhere. There was one nice hygienist, the rest were as rude and uncaring as the dentist himself. The day I got all of my teeth out that particular hygienist was trying to shove gauze in my bleeding mouth while I was crying so hard I couldn't breathe. I wasn't even given extra tissue so I wouldn't bleed all over my friends car on the way home. And the receptionists are kind of ignorant to many people they were cold but I can deal with that the refusal to email with a referral by them got me. I'm writing this review on 9/6/2021 I still am toothless will be toothless probably until death because of this office. I'm adding on to this review after reading others seems if you have Medicaid or Child Health Plus this is not the place you want to go. Seems they have a history of treating patients with state or federal insurance worse than their other patients. Well thanks Naples Valley Dental you've completely DESTROYED my life. Thanks for that half hearted response of you're so damned sorry why not do ANYTHING to fix it?! I'm toothless because of you,I have no money for a prosthesis because of you so your apology means nothing

Thanks to the staff of Naples Valley Dental. Very friendly and go out of there way to make you comfortable while you are in their care. It's been a long time since my last dental visit and they made it great in both recent visits.
