Denise Gay DDS, MDS is a Board Certified Periodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Gay attended Georgetown University as an undergraduate where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry, graduating with honors. After graduating from NYU she attended periodontal residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center where she received her Certificate in Periodontology and Dental Inplant Surgey and a Masters of Dental Science.
While a resident at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Gay was awarded first place in the Southern Academy of Periodontologys Billy M. Pennel Graduate Student Research Award Competitionfor her research concerning the role of inflammationin periodontal disease. Her research was subsequently published in theJournal of Periodontologyin 2007.
Dr. Gay moved to Naples in 2004 where she began working at Olde Naples Periodontics. In 2008 she acquired the practice from founder Dr. Jeannie H. Moran, who practiced periodontics in Naples for more than 30 years and was an industry pioneer as one of the first female periodontists in Florida.
Dr. Gay is also a Courtesy Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Florida. She also is privileged to volunteer her dental expertise to Collier Health Services.

Dr. Gay has been my dentist for years. She has fixed my teeth a few times and her work is top notch and totally pain-free. I have been to many dentists in the past and she is hands down the best. If you are looking for a great dentist in South West Florida...give her a call.

How does one grade a dentist?? Usually pain is the criteria. There is a unique soothing manner to Dr. Denise Gay. No BS.... a sense of professional caring is immediately felt. Kinda cool. This soft professionalism pervades the staff. Most are very reassuring. Dr. Gay recaps all with you at the end of your procedure. I wish she would offer a 25% discount to veterans. LOL I have been to many dentists over the years. Denise is the best.

I love the office staff and Denise. They are very professional and hard working. I sometime needed emergency work and Denise and her staff worked me in. She care about her patients and goes out of her way. Every patient is different; I am very sensitive and she make my experience painless. if she can deal with me then everyone else is a breeze :)

Exceptional Practice! I have gone to Denise and her team for about 8 years now -- and have always been overly pleased by their warm care, knowledge, and quick, yet thoughtful approach to dental care. An exceptional practice to go to for all your dental needs. Dr Gay is very gentle and attentive to your teeth, not to mention that her and the staff really take the time to develop relationships with their patients. I will definitely be going back!

If I could give Dr.Gay and her staff 10 stars I would. I just had my teeth cleaned for the first time in a while and I have been extremely self conscious of my mouth/smile after getting 9 teeth extracted at another facility... Dr.Gay and her staff went above and beyond what I expected. They were gentle and caring while cleaning and most important honest throughout the whole appointment. I will be back in 5 months for another cleaning and plan on returning for dental surgery to finish what the original Facility did not. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
