Dr. Anthony LaVacca is a board-certified prosthodontist who has carved out a place as a leader in implant dentistry. Hes given lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of dental implant topics. Dr. LaVacca earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University. He then completed his residency at East Orange Veterans Hospital, as well as extensive post-graduate prosthodontics training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Lidia Ickes, DDS prides herself on delivering compassionate, comprehensive dental care with a strong emphasis on prevention and patient education. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she graduated with recognition for her academic accomplishments. Before joining our team, she was in private practice in Michigan, treating patients of all ages and dental needs.
Sergio Baron D.D.S is a General Dentist with 25 years of experience. He has developed a passion for pursuing excellence in the profession. He recently completed an AEGD residency at Marquette University School of Dentistry, with a fellowship focus on urgent care and advanced care services for the medically complex patient. His journey through dentistry has inspired him to pursue a teaching faculty position. With the combination of both clinical experience (since 1995) and faculty assistant experience (2017-2019) he developed motivation for education, and because of this he have been privileged to teach the new generation of Dentists.
Dr. John Chae, DDS received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University where he graduated with honors. He completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. Hes experienced in the management of facial trauma, odontogenic infections, oral pathology, dental implants, outpatient anesthesia and orthognathic surgery. Dr. Chae is on staff at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
After graduating dental school, Dr. AlRubaie finished a 2-year residency program in advanced education in general dentistry from Miami, Florida and practiced for 6 years as a general dentist in Illinois and Florida. Afterwards, Dr. AlRubaie joined a 3-year dual degree residency program in Periodontology and Master of Science at Nova Southeastern University/College of Dental medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr AlRubaie is a board eligible periodontist and has a great passion for his field. Dr AlRubaie did his Master thesis about dental implants and he has published in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Zak Messieha, DDS is a board-certified dentist anesthesiologist with more than two decades of experience. Hes also the clinical director and president of Office Anesthesiology & Dental Consultants, PC. He received his DDS degree from Ohio State University and did his internship training at the Medical College of Virginia-Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital. His anesthesiology residency was completed at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.

After doing his undergraduate studies in accounting at Rutgers University, Dr. LaVacca attended Temple University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He then completed a general practice residency at East Orange Veterans Hospital and extensive post-graduate prosthodontics training at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Before starting Naperville Dental Specialists, Dr. LaVacca practiced restorative dentistry with University Associates in Dentistry, implant prosthetic rehabilitation dentistry at the Chicago Center for Advanced Dentistry and advanced restorative dentistry at LaSota & Lee Rockefeller Center Plaza in New York. He was also the director of the general practice residency program and interim director of the postgraduate program in prosthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he taught as an assistant professor as well.
Dr. LaVacca has received honorary recognitions for his contributions to the field. As a board-certified prosthodontist and a fellow of both the American College of Prosthodontics and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Dr. LaVacca has given lectures nationally and internationally on a variety of topics and has presented table clinics for the Temple University Alumni Association, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics. He has also participated in a study focused on bond strengths for veneers.
He maintains memberships with the American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration and the International Association of Dental Research. Dr. LaVacca even proudly supported the Chicago Blackhawks by providing the team with dental care from 2005-2010 and was affiliated with the team for the Stanley Cup! Go Blackhawks!
Dr. LaVaccas wife, Dr. Manal Ibrahim, is a board-certified orthodontist who owns Innovative Orthodontic Centers. Together, the pair also own Innovative Pediatric Dentistry and an in-house digital lab, Impact Dental. All of the practices fall under their Innovative Dental Partners umbrella, which has allowed them to build a place for patients to move through the timeline of their smile needs. With connected offices, a happy, energetic, family atmosphere and coordination between practices, theyve created a truly unique dental destination that gives patients a lifetime oral health solution.

Her dedication and patient-focused approach demonstrates her proven commitment to oral health. Dr. Ickes always maintains a high level of comfort while achieving the optimum results.
