As the owner and founder of Napa Valley Dentistry, I would like to warmly welcome you to our practice and tell you a little about myself, our practice and our philosophy.
Our practice philosophy centers around providing you with exceptional care, in every sense of the word. From the moment you call our office or walk through the front door, we strive to create an outstanding experience for you. It means we treat you as an individual with your own desires, goals, and concerns. It means we respect your time and your beliefs. And it means we bring you the very best patient service and health care available, from the latest modern technology to the most contemporary and comfortable techniques, all in a refreshing and calming environment.
My passion as your dentist is to bring you outstanding and personalized dental care. This includes constantly pursuing continuing educationI travel monthly and attend over 200 hours of continuing dental education each year to learn from the leaders in research and clinical care. It includes being a part of 3 different monthly study clubs and review boards, in which I work with specialists to diagnose and develop treatment plans for complex cases. It includes investing in the latest technology, such as CEREC CadCam digital imaging and crown fabrication systems. And most importantly, it includes taking the time to listen and get to know you, in order to help you look and feel your best.
While pursuing my DDS education at the University of Washington in Seattle, I worked hard to excel, and graduated with honors, taking home some awards in Periodontics, Dental Implants, and Oral Radiology. After associating at a private practice in the Northwest for several years, it was time to settle back in my hometown of Napa Valley.
A passion for me is volunteering and outreach, and through an organization called Kids International Dental Services (KIDS), I am able to travel abroad annually to provide dental care to people who have never had the opportunity to see a dentist. As a member of the KIDS Leadership Committee, I enjoy working with other dedicated dental professionals to make the world a little better place. Organizations I am affiliated with include: Napa County Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, CEREC Doctors, and Spear Education Faculty Club. In the community, I am happy to be a part of Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Dr. Justin spends much of his time studying the importance of helping patients develop proper breathing, which can start at a very young age, and often includes working with our oral myofunctional therapist, Krista, and a team of specialists, including Ear Nose and Throat Physicians, Orthodontists, and Oral Surgeons. Each exam by Dr. Justin includes an airway analysis and covers the basics of good breathing, sleeping, and wellness in general. Please see our Airway Dentistry page for more resources and evidence.
Dr. Silverman grew up in New Jersey where she completed her undergraduate education at The College of New Jersey with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She then attended graduate school at New York University and received her Master's degree in Oral Biology. Her formal dental education and training was at The Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC, after which she completed an elective AEGD residency with NYU Lutheran Medical in San Diego.
Dr. Silverman has volunteered many hours providing dental care to underserved communities during dental school and residency. She enjoys educating her patients and talking them through procedures. Her philosophy is simple: treat people like you want to be treated. Dr. Silverman works closely with other dentists and specialists in a study club to ensure the best planning and results for her patients.

The staff is very sweet and was able to accommodate my crazy work schedule while providing great care for my "teefers" as my kiddos say. Would definitely recommend this practice to anyone! Just wish they would take younger kiddos!

I had been on day 2 of visiting Napa with my fiance's family from the east coast, when one of my front veneers came out 9after only about a year of having them). I had been recommended this dental group when another highly rated office didn't have emergency availability. The staff was able to find me an appointment for a cementing THAT SAME morning. I am currently in the process of having some bad dental work corrected (including my front 2 veneers) with my dentist at home, so this was pretty traumatizing being on vacation having this happen. Dr. Silverman replaced my veneer and corrected some looseness I actually had felt prior to the veneer coming out. the re-cementing feels great!. Unfortunately, the next day, my other front veneer came out and i couldn't believe it. Both my veneers I was supposed to have replaced on 7/6 both came out while on vacation in Napa just days before the replacement. I called the office again after hours, and Lisa immediately reached out before the start of open hours the next morning to help find me another emergency cementing appointment, and was able to within the hour! The entire staff and Dr. Silverman were absolutely incredible. I've had some traumatizing dental experiences in the last 18 months, losing both of my front veneers definitely being one of them. I cannot recommend this office and the Dr.'s enough. I felt incredibly comfortable with everyone there, and my veneers feel more secure and better than ever! Things happen in mysterious ways, and to be honest, I am actually glad to have had both of my veneers replaced by Dr. Silverman after knowing how loose they were prior to them coming out. If i could give 10 stars, I would!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Justin and his team. Lisa and Denise are welcoming and always very gracious. I am a nervous patient and I don't know why because I never feel any pain. Today I was a bit cold but Selene kindly brought me a blanket and a little pillow. They are all so attentive and so nice. 100% Best dentist in Napa Valley.

It was time for me to change dentists and when your dentist has been a long time friend ...sometimes that change is challenging. But, I took a leap and choose to go to Napa Valley Dentistry. The minute I walked into the office is was a warm and welcomed feeling. I received a quick tour of the office and met my hygienist Tami. She explained all the procedures that were going to take place during my visit and I knew I had made the right choice. Besides she taught me that being number one will never be attainable ( little joke between her and I) so I will strive for a 2. I was ever so impressed with Dr. Newberry on how he approached his practice and it was like getting reacquainted with a long time friend. When I left the office and headed to my car I knew that I was where I needed to be for all my dental needs for many years to come. Blessings and continued success to Napa Valley Dentistry.
