Dr. Ivana Nandhavan (previously Dr. Nguyen) is proud to be changing the perception of dental care through her innovative and personalized approach. She truly believes in patient-centered care in which she works with you to choose the treatment that best suits your needs. With her soft touch, engaging personality, and quality skills, Dr. Ivana prides herself in establishing a natural rapport with her patients.
Dr. Ivana grew up in Slovakia and moved to Boston in 2004. She graduated from Northeastern University with highest honors (summa cum laude) and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine. She completed a general practice residency at Danbury Hospital in Connecticut where she received extensive training in all aspects of general dentistry.
Dr. Ivana is passionate about staying on the leading edge of dentistry and invests hundreds of hours into ongoing training each year. She is in the process of completing a 300 hour year-long continuum specializing in implant dentistry through the Boston Maxicourse at the Boston Harvard Club.
Beyond maintaining clinical excellence, Dr. Ivana loves to build lasting relationships. She loves to get to know her patients better by creating a safe and comfortable environment to provide the best possible dental care.
Dr. Ivana is a big fan of community service and enjoys giving back to the community. She has participated in numerous Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects, providing dental care to the underserved population throughout New England. She has traveled as far as Honduras to help population in need.

I moved to the Stoneham area and was in search of a local dental office. After trying out 2-3 locations over the course of 2 years, I finally found a new home for my cleanings. I had a great experience with Dr. Ivana and I'll be coming back.

I went to have tooth pulled.which she did great job. But I ended up with infection. Called she wouldn't do anything. Told me to go oral surgeon?? She pulled the tooth but won't see me...will not go to her or recommend her.

Awesome visit! The best cleaning I've ever had. I swear other offices purposely give you a terrible cleaning, and do not give you advice on better oral care just so you will have to come back, but this office will give you a deep clean and also give you advice on self care that will enhance the health of your teeth and gums. I have been going here for over a year and I am highly satisfied every single time and feel I am getting my moneys worth. She was very caring and molded me a perfect night guard which has help me from grinding tremendously!!! I would definitely recommend this office, DR. Ivana and Rita!

I filled out a contact form on their website. Their form did not have sufficient information to schedule an appointment so they asked me additional information (dob, insurance etc). Then they sent me a link to additional forms to another set of forms a 2/12/2022 which didn't work. They sent me a 2nd link link later that day which also didn't work. 3rd link on 2/16/2022 didn't work. 4th time on 3/8 they finally fixed the form so I could fill it out. The form ask you for a bunch of information already provided, incorrect insurance information that they ask you to call in to fix, they also ask you to digital sign 4 of the 5 (or 6?) pages digitally which is ridiculous, and the signature field is tiny. I signed the first form and told them that that this signature was valid for the other pages. The last page asks me to acknowledge a privacy policy which they didn't provide, and an Electronic Data statement which ambiguous (you agree to them using "conventional email" to send your private data around which is neither safe or HIPAA compliant). After spending a bunch of time jumping through all hoops, provided feedback every time, they just informed me that "we do not think we would be the right fit ... We are a small family owned practice and our goal is to develop trust and long lasting relationships with our patients. It is unfortunate that we do not think we can achieve this relationship with you". I went out of my way to help by telling about he issues they had. This is the most unprofessional & disorganized treatment that I have ever received. Wow.

Dr Nandhavan is the best! She has a great way of treating her patients like she is treating her family. She will not do any procedure on you unless she feels it's necessary and will explain the reasoning behind it. I highly recommend her to anyone.

I was one hour early for my appointment and without any embarrassment I was seated in a treatment room. Dr Nandhavan explained that I was early and the Hygienist was with a patient; however, she herself had time to take care of me. So, I had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned and spending one hour with my Dentist. My error became a wonderful patient experience. I was so very grateful for the professional care and kindness received. Thank you Dr Nandhavan and your terrific staff!
