Nahmjee Lee-Skarada, D.M.D., is a diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a double major in biochemistry and business. Her research at Washington University Medical School on human genome sequencing was published in the prestigious journal, Nature.
She was an assistant professor at OHSUs dental school from 20112014, and is one of the few U.S. dentists who completed extensive continuing education and board examination in dental sleep medicine to obtain diplomate status through the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Lee-Skarada specializes exclusively in the care of patients with sleep-disordered breathing. Her area of expertise is the dental treatment of obstructive sleep apnea through the latest technology in dental and oral appliances. She offers the most complete approach to the design, delivery, and follow-through of oral appliances to treat sleep apnea in her patients. If you snore, have mild to moderate sleep apnea, or cannot tolerate CPAP therapy, she has effective nonsurgical options to discuss with you. In order to ensure the best possible results, Dr. Lee-Skarada works closely with all sleep team physicians, including the primary care provider, sleep physician, ENT surgeon, and dentist. Very friendly and helpful staff. My replacement Moses OSA appliance is working great after 2 weeks. Thanks Dr. Skarada for making the process comfortable and easy, even with all the COVID restrictions. I think the billing process could be more clear since these types of clinics are usually out of network and getting several small bills makes things a bit complicated to figure out what the final costs are going to be.

My experience was complete perfection! I was referred after a home sleep study showed I have sleep apnea and my dentist informed me I clench and grind my teeth. I was concerned that with two different things happening that both could be addressed with one solution. After a VERY thorough appointment with Dr. Lee I found out that both can be taken care of with one oral appliance. Together we looked at all appliance options and found one that is going to be perfect for me for both issues. I felt heard and understood, my concerns addressed. She was attentive and listened to everything I said. WOW to get that kind of care is amazing! I'd heard this Dr. Lee was the absolute best for sleep problems. It was unequivocally true! I highly suggest if you have the sleep issues and choose an oral appliance over CPAP go nowhere else for a custom fit appliance as your answer. Dr. Lee thank you for being my saving grace!

Dr. Lee is so caring and so informative about the effects of Sleep Apnea can have on a body. Plus, being a dentist, she knows the importance of how an oral appliance should work with a mouth guard for those of us who grind our teeth at night. I highly recommend Dr. Lee for another alternative to using a CPAP machine.
