An Elyria native, Dr. Nagy graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1985 before earning his undergraduate and doctorate degrees at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, Dr. Nagy, who believes strongly in serving others, worked as a dental assistant and hygienist at the Childrens Hospitals dental clinic in Columbus. After graduating, Dr. Nagy practiced in Columbus for two years before he returned home to Elyria and opened our office.
As one of the few family dentists licensed to practice I.V. sedation dentistry in the Northern Ohio area, and with implant expertise earned from the Midwest Implant Institute, Dr. Nagy serves patients with a wide variety of dental needs. However, as a family dentist, he remains committed to the importance of establishing the rapport and communication necessary to serve you and your family throughout your lives.
Dr. Nagy and his wife Kathy have two children, Gregory and Danielleplus their rescue dog, Rosie.)Both children are following the family Buckeye tradition attending The Ohio State University. Their son Gregory is attendinggraduate school to earn a PhD degree in Biomedical science and Danielleis focusing her studies on her Human Development & Family Science major with an emphasis on Functional Medicine.
Dr. Nagy and his family attend Grace Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, and his care and compassion drives his commitment to the highest levels of excellence in providing health care and health-related services in a caring environment to the people and families of Northern Ohio. Dr. Nagy hopes to continue the mission work that he started in our community through developing a Free Dental Clinic and internationally through his resource network for many years into the future.
Dr. Dianne McDonald joined the Nagy Family Dental Group in August of 2016. Along with her experience, she brings a positive, enthusiastic outlook on life, and a passion for dentistry and for service to others in both her personal and professional life.
Dr. McDonald grew up in the Cincinnati area and received her undergraduate training at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her doctorate at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, and the Cleveland area has been home ever since. Her husband John is a Pediatric dentist. The doctors live together in Westlake, Ohio and have two children and two grandchildren.

I love this dental practice! My son is autistic and has struggled with dental care in the past. After years of using a chain dental practice we came to Dr. Nagy's practice and our entire dental experience has changed dramatically for my son. Highly recommend this group if your children have (or you yourself have) dental anxieties/ previously negative dental memories. Cheers to these folks for getting it right.

This place is a SCAM I came in for my appointment and the staff was friendly , did great but the office failed to tell me my insurance was not in network even after my appointment I was not told my insurance did not cover my visit I was given estimates of what my insurance would pay for my next visit but they couldn't tell me that this visit was not covered at all? How ? Then I've been trying weeks to get ahold of the office manager and no one ever answers the phone and she never calls back she just calls me one time but I missed her call but never returned my call afterwards. I was told by the receptionist I'd get a call Monday and it's been 4 days and I still haven't received a single call now I have a bill That was supposed to be covered by my insurance but I have to pay out of pocket.

The staff at Nagy Dental on Abbe Rd in Sheffield are very friendly but unfortunately not very honest about their pricing. Three different employees told me a routine cleaning & xrays would not cost more than $45 out-of-pocket, but 2 days later they sent me a bill for $352. In fact, it's only been 2 weeks since my visit and they have contacted me 6 times stating that I owe $352, asking me to "take care of this today" and if I don't agree with the charges to "contact your insurance company". To be clear, I did not have any additional work completed, just a routine cleaning & xrays. The whole experience has been pretty shocking. It's also a bit of a letdown, because the dentist and hygienist were both very nice and I thought they did a good job.

Firsy off I love Dr Nagy and his staff. Always so pleasant and comforting. Also very understanding for someone like myself who suffers anxiety when going to the dentist. I do wish however that the payment plans were a tad more affordable for someone as myself whose a single mom. Either way though my experiences there are well worth the money! I love the lady dentist I see, I can't remember her name. She is very personable and professional. I hate going to the dentist as much as anyone, but she has a definite calming affect. I am very happy with my dental care.

I can't say enough about the facility, the staff and of course, the dentists. This is how modern dentistry should look and feel for patients. Not often you get a personal call at 7 AM responding to a dental emergency but that's just a normal day at Nagy. And, they have a mascot; "Toothy". Three cheers for Toothy and the whole team.

From the initial call I made to set up an appointment everyone there is patient, kind, and understanding . I can't say enough about how gentle, slow, and understanding Nick is. He put my nerves at total ease. After many bad dental experiences I have found my permement dentist.

The BEST dentist office I've ever been to. I was having pain/bleeding, and Nik took care of everything. Nik needed to give me a shot to numb me up (I'm deathly afraid of needles), but he was so gentle that I didn't feel a thing, not even a tiny pinch! Dr. Nagy came in afterwards to check everything out and answer any questions. Extremely clean and updated facility, and the entire staff is friendly and inviting. They are dedicated to making everyone feel comfortable and it shows. If you live in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you schedule your appointments with Dr. Nagy and his team! You will not be disappointed!
