Dr. Nagatomo has practiced dentistry more than 12 years. She is a Periodontist a specialist who has completed an additional three-year advanced program for implants and diseases of the gums. From 2002 to 2006, Dr. Nagatomo trained in advanced Periodontics dentistry in Tokyo, Japan. In 2013, she completed her residency training and received her Specialty Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry degree (MSD) from the University of Washington. In 2012, during residency, she was awarded 1st prize in the Research Competition of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Extensive training and experience across multiple fields of dentistry have made her uniquely qualified to provide her patients with more accurate diagnoses and better treatments. Dr. Nagatomo is an active member of both the American Academy of Periodontics and the Washington State Society of Periodontics. Her beloved husband, Jeff, is also a dentist. In her spare time, Joan enjoys playing the piano, cooking, watching movies, and playing volleyball and golf.
Hollie loves working with people and making the connections that come from meeting new patients and welcoming returning patients as friends. Hollies background is as a field biologist and genetic research scientist. Hollie earned a Master of Science in Ontario, Canada and a PhD from the University of Washington, then worked in the UW School of Dentistry for many years before coming to our private practice. As Financial Coordinator, Hollie can assist you with any insurance, billing, and treatment planning questions you may have. Outside of the office, Hollie enjoys sharing the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with her family.
Elia is a lifelong Pacific northwest local and enjoys the area greatly. She has fourteen years of extensive periodontal experience and joined our team in 2017. Elia has an excellent grasp of surgical technique, pharmacology and patient needs. Elia cares deeply about the health of her patients and is our go to expert for all surgical and pharmaceutical questions. Elia has great skill in clearly and thoroughly explaining treatment and helping patients feel comfortable with their plan. More than anything else, Elia loves spending time with her husband Sajid and children, Azon and Aliz.
