Her journey to becoming a dentist began when she graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food science. She then continued her education and achieved a masters in biomedical science three years later.
While she sees patients of all ages, Dr. Nabors loves being able to set up young children on a path toward a healthy future. In fact, she treated pediatric patients at the Walton County Health Department before starting her dental practice in the spring of 2013.
Dr. Lygia Nabors has been practicing dentistry for over a decade and has a strong passion for providing patients with the best dental experience. Many people fear the dentist due to bad experiences, and Dr. Nabors always strives to prevent this from happening since maintaining ones oral health is so important.
I have had the pleasure of working as the Office Manager for Dr. Nabors for the last 6 years. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with our patients, helping them to feel comfortable with any questions or concerns they may have and to help make their dental experience as great as possible!
Tara grew up in Ponce de Leon, Florida, and moved to Fort Walton Beach four years ago after meeting her husband. She has been in the dental field for 13 years, with most of her career spent as a pediatric dental assistant. She moved to a more clerical position with Nabors Family and Cosmetic Dentistry a year ago.
She and her husband spend their spare time in church, cheering on UGA (Go Dawgs), and soaking up the sun at the beach. She also loves to do crafts, read, travel (when she can), and spend time with my family.
Sylvia has been a hygienist for over 30 years. Over the years, she has had the privilege of meeting a great deal of wonderful people. She loves the friendships she has made along the way. Sylvia enjoys teaching patients how to improve their oral health along with helping them understand treatment recommendations. She and her husband decided to retire in the Niceville area in 1998 after moving with the Air Force for a little over 20 years. In her spare time, she loves to run, swim, bike, and relax with yoga.
Misty joined the Nabors dental team in 2020 and has 25 years of experience. She is married with two girls, and when away from work, she enjoys the beach, paddle boarding, traveling, and enjoying time with her family.
Kendall is a registered dental hygienist and valued staff member. She is a favorite among our patients as she exudes positivity and compassion. Kendall has spent years caring for dental patients and is known specifically for her gentle touch and attention to detail.
Kendall uses her kind nature to effectively help educate patients about preventative care of their teeth. She grew up along the Florida panhandle and earned her degree at Pensacola State College. Outside of her hygiene profession, youll find her at the beach or on a boat enjoying the sunshine while searching for the next outdoor adventure with her husband and fur babies.
Maria has 14 years of experience in dental assisting and has been with Dr. Nabors for a little over a year. She is originally from California and loves animals, music, art, nature, reading, writing, cooking, and eating good food.

The staff is super kind and very helpful. They were able to get me in as a new patient the same day I called with a horrible toothache. Dr. Nabors was able to get me a prescription and a referral ASAP. I highly recommend!!!
