Dr. Zicherman graduated from NYUs College of Dentistry in 1973 and was part of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. He opened our practice in 1975, focusing on the needs of children on the North Shore. Dr. Zicherman became a Board-Certified Pediatric dentist in 1987 and since then has helped thousands of patients have healthier smiles.
Dr. Lago graduated from Brown University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science and continued his education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, receiving his doctorate in 2000. He went on to earn a specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 2002 from Scheinders Childrens Hospital in New York, as well as a certificate of Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry from University of Maryland Dental School in 2003. He joined our practice in 2003, becoming a partner in 2013.
Dr. Timothy Finelli attended Tufts University for his Bachelor of Arts in mechanical engineering, graduating in 1995. He then attended the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, graduating first in his class in 1999 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Finelli continues to advance his education with multiple continuing education courses each year. He has practiced in the Peabody, Massachusetts, area since 2001.
He is a VIP Platinum Preferred Provider with Invisalign, and received specialized training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Boston University in 2001. As a dentist, he is constantly seeking ways to provide fantastic treatments to his patients and exceed their expectations.
Dr. Finelli and his wife of 15 years, Beth, have two children, a daughter named Annika and a son named Enzo, as well as a third child Tink the English Mastiff. Dr. Finelli is an avid runner, and has completed over 18 marathons. He is always trying to improve his golf game.
Dr. John McLay completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Hartford from 1996-2000 before attending The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, from which he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005. He continues his dental education yearly, and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in 2005-2006 through the U.S. Air Force. He served our country in the United States Air Force and practiced dentistry in Denver until joining Zicherman, Lago, and Associates, PC in 2009, where he has served the Peabody, community ever since.
Dr. Kuhnen attended American University in Washington, DC, as a biochemistry major. She graduated from dental school in 2009 from Tufts University. Following dental school, she received her Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate from Lutheran Medical Center and worked as a general dentist for four years on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Winslow, Arizona. She completed her pediatric dental residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2015.

Growing up this dentist was the absolute best! I have nothing but positive things to say about the pediatrics side. Dr. Lago and other dentists I had over the years were absolutely wonderful and made visiting the dentist a positive experience for me. On the adult side, the dental hygienists have been nice but unfortunately I haven't had a good experience with the dentist on that side. I gave this dentist a handful of chances and finally decided to look elsewhere for a new dentist which wasn't easy because I've had a couple of wonderful decades of positive experiences on the pediatrics side here at MZL in Peabody. The current dentist I saw here would communicate and review things to me in a way as if he were speaking to a colleague that has a background in dentistry which I do not. Then, I needed a crown after my root canal which got delayed because my dentist left for paternity leave and they made my new appointment for a temporary canal well over 4 weeks later (instead of trying to refer me to someone else within the practice there or at the Lynn location -- I was told I *had* to wait for him to return). My temporary filling ended up breaking, and I feel this would have been much less likely to occur if they professionally managed my pressing need for a crown in the appropriate and recommended timeframe. The office is very nice, things are clean and the secretaries have all performed excellent customer service. I'm very thankful for all of the wonderful years I had the opportunity to experience at MZL.

We are very glad that our pediatrician recommended MZL dental to us. The dentists, hygienists, and the people on the phone are wonderful, patient and attentive. We would recommend this place to anyone. The children get a nice goodie bag on their way out which makes them excited about the dentist.

I had the greatest experience today as I always do. My three children have been coming here for 18 years and I have always had the best experience. They are caring, helpful, professional and always flexible. My children are actually excited to go to the dentist and now I can go too since there is adult general dentistry now too! Thank you Dr Ginsberg you were wonderful, thank you Chrissy for your patience with my children and Marilyn for going above and beyond!

My kids have been going here for years. Office is so inviting and has plenty to keep the kids entertained. The staff is amazing ! Dr. Lago and Tessa have been seeing my kids since they were toddlers. They have such a great relation with them and are always so personable. Marilyn at the desk is amazing! She is always ready to help and answers any questions I have. I highly recommend this entire practice.

I love this office. We switched to MZL dental years ago when my daughter had two awful experiences with previous dentists. They have been so professional, kind, informative and helpful. The staff is friendly and sets my children at ease. There is no fear of dentist appointments in our house. My children have seen Dr. Zicherman, Dr. Lago, and Dr. Kuhnen and husband and I see Dr. McLay and loved all of them. I totally recommend this office.
