I realized that more than anything we exist for you; to make a difference in your life! Since we exist for you, we are your Orthodontist, but its not about us, its about you, so we want you to be a part of all we do, to have ownership in our offices, the process and your results, so really, from your perspective, we are MY ORTHODONTIST! And thus, a new name was born, simple, to the point and one which makes YOU a part of the entire experience, for which we thank you! So this is not my name change, we are YOUR new partner; MyOrthodontist.
At MyOrthodontist, we care about our patients and treat them like family. We promise to speak honestly with you about any symptoms you have that may require further dental treatment. Our experienced Dental professionals will outline all the treatment options available in a way that you can understand, and answer any questions so you can make your Orthodontics treatment decisions with confidence.
Dr. Larry J. Moray brings a unique perspective to his practice. His life philosophy has been to enjoy the richness of lifes many experiences, and this permeates all his endeavors. Dr. Moray moved to Chapel Hill in 1979, entering a Ph.D. program in neurobiology.
He later completed dental training at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Dentistry and spent one year in a hospital dental residency in Hampton, Virginia. Dr. Moray taught at the VCU/MCV School of Dentistry and managed the hospital dental clinic at MCV Hospitals in Richmond, Virginia from 1991 to 1994.
Following graduation from his orthodontic residency at UNC in 1997, Dr. Moray opened our first office at Preston Corners. MyOrthodontist has grown tremendously under his guidance and our team of dental professionals now serves 12 communities throughout North Carolina.
We are a leading family orthodontic practice with locations throughout North Carolina including Cary, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Mount Airy, Sanford, Burgaw, Wake Forest, Concord, Greensboro, Roanoke Rapids, and Rocky Mount. We specialize in orthodontic dental care.
MyOrthodontist team is made up of some of the best orthodontists in the country. Our doctors have graduated from many of the nations top universities, worked in prestigious posts throughout the world, and pursued important research initiatives and are eager to work with patients like you. In addition to their medical expertise, our doctors are great at making you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout any treatment.
Dr. Gisela Borget was born in Jalisco, Mexico. She was raised in Utah and attended the University of Utah for her undergraduate studies and went on to receive her D.D.S. from the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill.
After dental school Dr. Borget completed an orthodontic residency and earned her Master of Science degree at the University of Iowa. Dr. Borget is happily married and enjoys her three children: two girls and a boy.
When not practicing orthodontics, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Borget speaks Spanish fluently and is very excited to work with families in the Burgaw area!

Very friendly environment. The staff is amazing. They are all so kind and make the experience with my 10 year old nice. She isn't nervous anymore going in to see them.

Stay far away. We went to this Mt. Airy office because we were referred by our dentist. I drove over 1 hour to get there because of cost and good reviews. Our experience here has not been very good. We had a different orthodontist every time we went, and they did not have emergency appointments for broken wires or other problems. I gave repeated requests to have wisdom teeth removed during treatment, they didn't, and now that they removed braces TODAY they are requesting that we have her wisdom treatment removed. I requested to have permanent retainers which are pretty much standard at any Orthodontist office in our area. For the first request they said they only put permanent retainers on "some" patients, I told them I would consult my daughter's dentist. After consultation with the dentist they said they should definitely be giving her permanent retainers, that they would consider that a necessary part of her orthodontic treatment, and it is unreasonable to expect a 15 year old to keep up with retainers throughout their teenage years and through college, I agreed. I then called this office to discuss it, the person I talked to on the phone said they give them to "some" patients, I requested to talk to someone or to the doctor, they told me they would not have anyone return my phone call and that we could discuss it while getting braces removed. Today when getting braces removed they refused to give permanent retainers without us paying an extra $500 when we had already paid for our treatment in full. even when inquiring about permanent retainers, paying more was never discussed or disclosed to us. I would much rather have an honest orthodontist who has clear communication. I regret even using this office and will not return for my sons braces.

My daughter has been a patient with them for almost 2 years now. The office staff is always pleasant and friendly as is the Orthodontist staff. The only downside I could only bring up is the availability of appointments not being very flexible. Outside of that, I recommend them for your or your child's Orthodonist needs.

I called to ask if they were taking new patients. I was told yes. I asked if they accepted medicaid, was told yes. I then let her know that my daughters' original orthodontist had passed away and we were needing to find somewhere and that I had records and molds, everything. She immediately says they are not taking transfers. I asked her what was the reason for that and she replied "because we are not taking transfers, that is the reason." I thought that was kind of rude. So I asked what the difference was. Not very helpful when I'm already in a situation that no one could have foreseen.
