For many children, a visit to the dentist may seem like a scary experience. I take the time to talk with my patients at their level with the hope of helping them overcome their fears. By telling them what to expect and showing them the things I plan to use, my goal is to build trust and show them that dentistry doesn't have to be frightening.
Dr. Claus resides in his hometown of Fairfield with his two Boston Terriers, his wife Dr. Hang Nguyen Claus, who is an OB/GYN with Kaiser, and their daughters Kamryn and Kenzie. He loves trying new food dishes, watching Giants baseball, fishing, and woodworking.

I am disappointed to have to write this review as I do think overall Dr. Clause and the rest of the staff at My Kid's Dentist are great but our recent experience was upsetting and lack of communication that could been handled much differently. I had an original check up appointment set on a Friday at 3:30, I asked if I can have my daughter's sealants done at this appointment. I was given a call back from Nicki on that previous Monday that they can make it "work" but coming instead at 3 which I gladly accepted to do so no problem. I then got a call from Sarah on Thursday, if we can come in at 3pm on Friday to take care of my daughter's sealants treatment which I called back that was already coordinated for us to come in on that time by Nicki. Friday comes along, we get there at 2:40 and I have paid the copay for their checkup and my oldest daughter's sealants. We get called to the back to be seen at 3:10 and their check up went well until it was cut short. Dr. Claus he recommends sealants to be done which I questioned it would be done today, he says no, that has to be scheduled a different day. I was very confused, because I already paid for it and was already coordinated it would be done on the same day by Sarah and Nicki. I even have voicemail from them stating on Thursday to do 3pm instead of 3:30pm to have extra time to do the sealants. I took off from work early, ensured to be there at 2:40 to only be told it was "a miscommunication". We left at 3:40, had I known this occur, we would have kept our appointment at 3:30pm like it was originally scheduled if they could not accommodate or tell me in advance. I felt was not given a valid explanation of what happened and really feel not valued of the service.

I couldn't have had a better experience here with my daughters. Dr Claus was so gentle with them and was more than patient with their wiggling around and crying. The sweet woman at the front desk (Nikki I think he called her) held my younger baby while I held sis for her exam which was a huge help. They were so excited about the toy they got to pick out when they left my daughter said we could go again lol.

I cannot recommend My Kid's Dentistry enough. The entire staff, from Nicole, who works the front office, to all of the assistants, and DDS, are just incredible. They went above and beyond to make sure my daughter was comfortable and had a positive experience at, what can be, a scary place.

Everyone in the office was friendly. Dr. Claus was very informative, and great with my son who has an issue with his front tooth.

I've been bringing all three of my little ones here for years and I could not say more good things about Dr Claus and his team. I don't about everyone else's kids but my kids love going to the dentist and can't wait until their next appointment. Their staff is the absolute BEST!

If you want your imperfect teenager terrorized and your parenting authority undermined by Dr. Lee, then by all means, go ahead and bring your child here for orthodontic work. Otherwise, I recommend you go elsewhere. At first I was onboard with his tough love tactics to get my teenager to improve his oral hygiene before putting braces on. But when he DID improve his habits substantially, and I deemed his improvements satisfactory to proceed with treatment, Dr. Lee DISAGREED WITH ME IN FRONT OF MY CHILD AND DECIDED FOR ME that he wasn't ready. Besides humiliating my son, his not-so-subtle disapproval of my parenting skills was COMPLETELY INFURIATING - he's clearly not mature enough to understand his role in the process of helping kids grow up and take responsibility for their actions. If you expect perfection from 14-year olds, you should expect to be lied to or disappointed. At least my son was honest enough to admit to exactly what his habits were regardless of the enormous pressure exerted upon him by Dr. Lee to JUST LIE AND SHUT HIM UP. To add insult to injury: we were offered a full refund for what we had already paid for the services we never received. Great. Then they proceeded to give us the runaround and fail to return the money - THAT THEY OFFERED US - and blamed someone else's failure to respond for their inability to return our money. "They don't have a phone number, we have no way to contact this company" - complete lack of ownership. All around, an office full of children with a shocking lack of maturity or professionalism.

Today I brought my 5 yr old son in for his first appt. He did not have the best experience with the lst dentist we went to. So he was nervous and scared. Meg was a rockstar with him, so kind, caring, listened to his concerns and made him feel so comfortable. Dr . Claus came in and was also very kind and caring. And was so great ar explaining treatment plan. Definately will be telling everyone and coming back ! My son is actually excited for his next appt.

When I was a kid (perhaps like others in my generation), we dreaded going to the dentist. Dental clinics are seen as a "house of pain" and fear. But when your own kids ask you "when are we going back to see the dentist dad?" that means something pretty special. My three kids actually enjoy going to MyKid's Dentist in Fairfield, not just because of the dental care they need but the way we are all treated by the staff each time we come over. Their customer service is remarkable and their dental care, plans, and procedure are indeed outstanding. I only wished their building was a little more bigger but at least they make the best out of it. My family and I are truly satisfied and happy with Dr. Claus and his TEAM!

My son needed to get a baby root canal and filling. The whole staff here was magnificent! My son was comfortable and had such a great dental experience. He has one more appointment to go to to finish some additional treatment and he is ready. Am so grateful that they made his experience great! Thank you for making us both feel comfortable and happy here! I will recommend you to everyone I know.

When I was a kid (perhaps like others in my generation), we dreaded going to the dentist. Dental clinics are seen as a "house of pain" and fear. My three kids actually enjoy going to MyKid's Dentist in Fairfield, not just because of the dental care they need but the way we are all treated by the staff each time we come over. This was our first visit with My Kid's Dentist. My son (5) is usually TERRIFIED of the dentist. With that being said, I was boggled by how relaxed the staff made him feel. They were clear with him on what exactly they were going to do, what each tool was for, and showed him how each worked. I'm sure that it also helped that they have TVs mounted to the ceiling. Made for an amazing distraction! In the end, he actually really enjoyed his visit, which I didn't see coming at all. I would definitely recommend these guys. They have an awesome staff and we will be returning!

Incredible!!! Everything from the sweet receptionists, to the wonderfully personable hygentist and the amazing knowledgeable and thoughtful dentist! Great first experience for my 16 month old daughter!
