I believe in family-centered care and want parents to be involved in their child's oral health care. I strive to create an environment in which children enjoy coming to their dental visits. This also means tailoring each child's treatment to their unique dental needs and providing the highest level of communication between staff, parent, and patient.
Dr. Drake has been practicing dentistry since 2012. He is originally from eastern Kansas and has decided to relocate close to home. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and playing table tennis. As a graduate of the University of Kansas, Dr. Drake enjoys college basketball and rooting for his Jayhawks.
Valedictorian and senior class president of Lansing High School Class of 2002, graduated with honors in biology from the University of Kansas, graduated with pediatric honors from UMKC School of Dentistry, chief resident of Lutheran Medical Center Springfield

Great experience. Top notch professionalism. The dentist and his team went above and beyond on a Saturday morning to help my baby boy and his sudden unexpected abscessed tooth. The team was in, we met them there, within 10 min that bad fractured tooth was out, turbo speed. No tears, no time to overthink, just numbed up and BOOM. Fixed, treated, changed dental plan for next visit and we were out the door with 1 less toofers. All under an hour. Impressive!

By far exceeded all my expectations. My oldest was going in for a tooth extraction, come to find out there was a few more to pull as well when we showed up for our appointment. Dr. Drake & his nurse Trish were so amazing throughout our process! They explained everything that was going on & were so efficient even though it was obviously a very busy day for them all. All in all, I'm glad I found them when searching for a dentist. It's a bit of a drive for us, but I honestly don't even care about that. They are so good with the kiddos I wouldn't take them anywhere else!

Dr. Drake always does a good job and is good with kids. My daughter had a good visit, today. She loves the toy she was able to get out of the toy machine and she is excited to use her new minions toothbrush. Mica is a great dental assistant and was very sweet with my child. I recommend this dental office! See you in six months!

I would not recommend this office if you have a child with sensory processing disorder. We recently moved to the area and despite having a great experience at our old pediatric dentist, we hoped to find something closer. My son was very uneasy from the start and they definitely didn't make any effort to put him at ease. They don't take the time to explain what they're doing before they do it (despite knowing about the issue in advance). They seemed to be in a hurry, and were a little impatient with him. While they got the job done and, despite tearing up and expressing his fears multiple times, my five year old seemed to tolerate the experience. However he left the office only more fearful of the dentist and not less so. While I did appreciate that the dentist asked me what about the experience was not ideal, his response was to say that he would coach his team, while his interaction with my child was the most problematic of them all. He went quickly, sticking instruments in his mouth before telling him what to expect. He also repeatedly dismissed my son when he would complain about discomfort telling him "no ouch I'm just cleaning". I think the biggest problem for me was that he had the tech hold my son's arms down while he scraped plaque off of his teeth. Honestly I'm just shocked that this is a pediatric practice. Everyone was pretty friendly, and if your kids don't have sensory processing disorder then you may have a great experience! We did not, and we'll be driving 40 minutes out of our way to go back to our old dentist.

"My Kid's" were able to get my two year old in last minute for a chipped tooth. Did our annual cleaning while we were there. Friendly staff, clean establishment, and Dr Drake took his time examining the tooth and explaining options while providing his recommendation. This was our first time here and will return.

Dr. Edwards, Jammie, Crystal, and Sheri are so amazing! They've all made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. They're all so kind and hard working. Not only are they fixing my smile but they put a smile on my face every time I'm there.

My daughter loves going to the dentist now. Everyone in the office is great, from the moment you walk in through your entire visit. I can't recommend this office enough they make kids feel comfortable and at ease. So glad we found this office.

Both of my daughters needed dental surgery. We had the hardest time finding a pediatric dentist to help us. One of my daughters is autistic and I have a blood disorder. For starters, they are the BEST with my autistic daughter! She would barely open her mouth before and now she gets excited to see them when she goes to get her teeth cleaned. She LOVES Dr. Drake! Secondly, my blood disorder made other dentists not want to do their surgeries at all so that was an obstacle too. Dr. Drake was able to help us with the blood stuff and we had my girls get some simple blood work done to make sure they were safe for sedation. He genuinely cared enough to work with me to help my daughters. If I could give him 10 stars I would!

This place is amazing, fast and friendly. Ny kids have always felt comfortable coming here. My oldest even had a bad experience with a travel dentist bus to his school, so for him not be scared is huge. Dr Drake is who I deal with the most. He is fantastic at explaining everything to you. They are great about gwtting you break downs on all the pricing if anything comes up and they are all really just there for the kids. There is not a single person here that I have thought wasn't there for the right reason. I will be so sad when my kids turn 18 and can no longer go here.

We always have a great experience with MyKid's! Sheri and Crystal at the front are amazing! Dr. Drake is great! Dr. Edwards is wonderful! All of the Dental Assistant's are sweet. My son feels comfortable going. Everyone is so kind. Its clean and sanitized. I definitely recommend this office for your children.
