My Family Dentistry in Powell TN puts comfortable dentistry at the heart of our practice. Dr. Wesley Mullins and his team provide compassionate care, experience, a gentle touch, and excellent dentistry that will make you want to be a patient of My Family Dentistry.
My Family Dentistry is unique among local dentists: we practice acomfortable dentistry approachto dental services. If you experience anxiety when going to the dentist, finding the right provider can be tricky. Dr. Mullins practices comfortable dentistry and is here to put you at ease.
The atmosphere of the office and spa-like relaxation treatments are a key element in comfortable dentistry, because they both help distract the patient from anxiety, and stimulate the senses in a positive way. The paraffin hand treatments, for example, serve a very specific purpose. As Dr. Mullins says, Stimulating the hand actually decreases pain receptors in the mouth, so if there is discomfort, they are less likely to feel it.
We want you to be a fully informed participant in every dental decision, and the Intra-Oral Camera is one of our most important tools in making that possible. This amazing device is a miniature video camera that displays close-up images of the inside of your mouth, so you can see for yourself what work needs to be done and which teeth are doing fine.
With digital radiography, an image is taken of your mouth with a digital sensor and directly downloaded into a computer, making it immediately available. This method means that the patient is exposed to 75% less radiation than with conventional x-rays. Also, there is no waiting for images to develop, and no chemical waste to pollute the environment.
Employing advanced dental technology for our patients is just one of the ways that we at My Family Dentistry are working to make your next dentist visit a better experience. We hope to meet you soon so you can experience our work for yourself!
