With the support of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board, we are working together as diverse network of partners and and advocates to enhance community health by offering access to quality dental care for all.
Steve joined the board in 2016. He is currently the Health Officer for the Central Michigan District Health Department. Previous to this, he served as the Interim Health Officer and Environmental Health Director for the Jackson County District Health Department. He earned his bachelors degree from Ferris State University and his masters degree from Independence University, California College of Health Sciences. He resides in the central Michigan area with his wife and two daughters.
Phyllis joined the board in 2016. She is the Senior Fellow and Advisor for The Kresge Foundations Health Team. Her professional experience includes serving as the Associate Dean for Public Health Practice and Clinical ProfessorHealth Management and Policy for the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She holds both a bachelor and master of science degree in nursing and a PhD in sociology from Wayne State University.
Jerry joined the board in 2017. He is the Administrative Health Officer for the Marquette County Health Department. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Michigan Technological University and a Masters of Public Administration from Northern Michigan University. He received a Graduate Certificate in Public Health from Michigan State University in May 2017.
Denise joined the board in 2013. She served as Associate Dean for Government Relations and Outreach at Michigan State University. She also served as Director of the Plan Administration and Customer Services Bureau for the Medical Services Administration within the Michigan Department of Community Health. Denise is retired and resides in Boyne City with her husband, Steve.
Ron joined the board in 2016. He has extensive experience in the areas of legislative and political/fundraising strategy. Ron also spent several years as the Director of Marketing & New Business with a Michigan-based, nationally recognized real estate operating company before going back to Lansing where he joined a multi-client lobbying firm. Today, he is owner of the lobbying and public affairs firm Khoury Johnson Leavitt.
Jason joined the board in early 2019. He is Vice President of Health Finance at Michigan Health & Hospital Association and a demonstrated leader with nearly 20 years of healthcare expertise. Jason has focused on research, program evaluation, data analysis, financial modeling, strategic planning, policy development, and program implementation. His experience spans public programs and commercial insurance.
Sue joined the board in 2019. She has over thirty years of experience in health policy and program administration in both the public and private sectors. She retired from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in September 2018, where she served as the Director of the Population Health Administration. Sue also was the Director of the Medicaid Program Operations Bureau at the Michigan Department of Community Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Public Health.
Bill joined the board in 2019. He retired as the Director/Health Officer of the Health Department of Macomb County in December of 2020. For over 30 years, Bill hasdevoted his career to the service of public health. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan.
Our nonprofit dental centers partner with local health departments to offer the best in patient-centered, full-service care from regular checkups and cleanings to ongoing treatments. These valued partnerships allow MCDC to serve nearly 88,000 patients at 34 dental centers throughout Michigan annually.

This place and the people here were awesome. Jamie was my hygienist and she was absolutely amazing. I have always had such a fear of the dentist and she put all my fears to rest. Great explanations.great feasible timeline. Even learned some new educational tips. Very very happy I came here. You should come here as well! I'm actually excited to return for my next appt.

They never call to remind you of your appointment, when covd was bad and my filling fell out which they put in they would not fix right away waited six months with pain and still they wanted me to wait all day in office and still never got to me called to set up an appointment and they said I had to many no shows when I haven't been there since Covid started makes no sense so now I'm two years in with a bad tooth from a filling that was not put in properly and having to find a new dentist.

My husband and I love our dental hygienists! She is a sweet and wonderful gal! Plus the Dr. Is very friendly Even though we still give them a 5 star, their only down fall is if u have to go in for a quick check up because somethings happened to a filling or whatever. They tell you that you can't make a appointment but instead you have to go there and wait till they can get u in whenever is possible..... Wich in my case was just a hr. But then again I was only going to wait a hr. And definitely not wait 5 hrs, as they explained that could happen.... How is that right

For my first time there bringing my children, I was super impressed! The staff were wonderful, accommodating, and kind. I thought the dentist was fun and very professional. Great place!

I love going here!!!! Jamie is my favorite and dr is a nice guy too. I always leave happy. Going to switch my kids here as there dentist stop taking there insurance.

I think the staff is fantastic! The girls that run the desk in the office are really sweet! Vickie & Cassie are so efficient and kind. Because of them, I am getting my dentures way earlier than I ever expected! Cheryl is especially warm, kind & understanding. Dr. H. is extremely knowledgeable & knows what he's doing! I would highly recommend them to my Friends & Family! Sincerely, Tammy 250,000 stars! Big Hugs to them all!

They have a 4.7 star rating for a reason!! The staff is incredible & Dr H knows what he's doing. I came in, so insecure about my smile & I left speechless. I couldn't stop smiling! The hygienist even took the before picture for me! At one point during the procedure I got super cold & Dr H asked someone to get me a blanket. I'm telling you, they go above & beyond. Dr H checked in with me frequently during the procedure to make sure I wasn't experiencing any pain/discomfort. 10/10 recommend. Very positive experience.

They did a excellent job on me and my wife's teeth. I was so worried about how they were going to look and I have to say they surpassed any expectations I had. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone.
