With the support of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board, we are working together as diverse network of partners and and advocates to enhance community health by offering access to quality dental care for all.
Steve joined the board in 2016. He is currently the Health Officer for the Central Michigan District Health Department. Previous to this, he served as the Interim Health Officer and Environmental Health Director for the Jackson County District Health Department. He earned his bachelors degree from Ferris State University and his masters degree from Independence University, California College of Health Sciences. He resides in the central Michigan area with his wife and two daughters.
Phyllis joined the board in 2016. She is the Senior Fellow and Advisor for The Kresge Foundations Health Team. Her professional experience includes serving as the Associate Dean for Public Health Practice and Clinical ProfessorHealth Management and Policy for the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She holds both a bachelor and master of science degree in nursing and a PhD in sociology from Wayne State University.
Jerry joined the board in 2017. He is the Administrative Health Officer for the Marquette County Health Department. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Michigan Technological University and a Masters of Public Administration from Northern Michigan University. He received a Graduate Certificate in Public Health from Michigan State University in May 2017.
Denise joined the board in 2013. She served as Associate Dean for Government Relations and Outreach at Michigan State University. She also served as Director of the Plan Administration and Customer Services Bureau for the Medical Services Administration within the Michigan Department of Community Health. Denise is retired and resides in Boyne City with her husband, Steve.
Ron joined the board in 2016. He has extensive experience in the areas of legislative and political/fundraising strategy. Ron also spent several years as the Director of Marketing & New Business with a Michigan-based, nationally recognized real estate operating company before going back to Lansing where he joined a multi-client lobbying firm. Today, he is owner of the lobbying and public affairs firm Khoury Johnson Leavitt.
Jason joined the board in early 2019. He is Vice President of Health Finance at Michigan Health & Hospital Association and a demonstrated leader with nearly 20 years of healthcare expertise. Jason has focused on research, program evaluation, data analysis, financial modeling, strategic planning, policy development, and program implementation. His experience spans public programs and commercial insurance.
Sue joined the board in 2019. She has over thirty years of experience in health policy and program administration in both the public and private sectors. She retired from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in September 2018, where she served as the Director of the Population Health Administration. Sue also was the Director of the Medicaid Program Operations Bureau at the Michigan Department of Community Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Public Health.
Bill joined the board in 2019. He retired as the Director/Health Officer of the Health Department of Macomb County in December of 2020. For over 30 years, Bill hasdevoted his career to the service of public health. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University, a Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Michigan.
Our nonprofit dental centers partner with local health departments to offer the best in patient-centered, full-service care from regular checkups and cleanings to ongoing treatments. These valued partnerships allow MCDC to serve nearly 88,000 patients at 34 dental centers throughout Michigan annually.

I had the best experience today at this dentist that I have EVER had. Mariam and Dr. Kaitlyn Delancey we're the BEST providers. I had 7 teeth pulled today and any other time I would not let them pull that many in 1 sitting! Today, I had my whole mouth worked on and I am very happy with the result! I didn't even feel like I was at the dentist! I felt like I was on the beach laying in the sun with some nice cold drinks, when I was really laying in the chair getting teeth pulled! I will recommend them to EVERYONE!! I have always had bad experiences with dentists, and today was the best experience ever! They deserve a raise or a really good reward/award! If I had the choice, I would request to have these 2 ladies EVERY time. Thank you for helping me get over my Dentist fears, and helping me conquer my needle fears!! And a HUGE thank you for helping me feel better!! Mariam And Dr. Delancey are my favorite Dentists! If you have some dental needs, please go see these 2 lovely ladies! They are so awesome and helpful!! I can't thank you two enough!

I tried to get appointment and she acted like she didn't want to help me for nothing and I've been in pain trying to get a tooth pulled highly wouldn't recommend nobody calling this office highly disappointed

Great place! Kind friendly and understanding. They got me registered and my crown fell off and put in same day! The dentist assistance front desk and doctors are great! Responsive to messages left, very professional and listen to you. The staff friendly, calming, and have excellent care and service in mind. Glad to hear the have another dentist in the office to reduce the wait for an appointment.

Not very compassionate. If you have Medicaid, they pretty much treat you as less than. Especially if you have anxiety.

So everyone that knows me knows I have never had good results with dentists. I have always felt the pain for anything they have done because I do not get numb. Well this place is 3 for 3 and has been an awesome place to go. God put them in my path and I thank everyone of the staff for how they have taken care of not just me but my kids and wife also. I think your place is awesome..I've been there twice without an appointment and was taken care of in less than two hours.. Everyone is friendly and informative about what is being done to you.. I'm soooo happy I found you, Thanks a million for an actual pleasant experience at the dentist

We took my son here for his first dentist appointment. He was not yet 5, and he was understandably nervous. By the time his x-rays were complete and the dentist himself came to review, my son was crying and not very cooperative. The dentist, granted he was not a pediatric dentist, showed him no compassion and was instead gruff and shamed him for crying. Not the kind of experience any kid needs for their first dentist appointment. We will not return to this location. If you can handle the drive, try Walker instead!

Don't use the emergency dental here Very untimely! Yes I get the appointments go first I didn't have a problem with that. But this lady showed up without an appointment but her dentures weren't fitting properly and she got in right away. Like twenty minutes or less. Mind you I was there before they opened the doors a 7:45 am and this happened at like 11 am. So I wouldn't recommend them.

Horrible service!Arrived at 7:45am.Watws in the waiting room to be called to the back at 10:30.The nurse took my blood pressure asked questions then said she forgot about a patient with a scheduled appointment so she sent me back to the waiting room and said she would be back for me when she was finished with her.I waited til noon before asking the front desk to check with the nurse.The nurse told receptionist she would be out shortly 15 minutes later she comes out to grab someone else so I left.This is completely unprofessional and I feel like I have been discriminated against and I'm reporting this company to the BBB!Find another dentist people especially if you are black because apparently our pain doesn't matter!
