At MVP Family Dental, we offer traditional metal braces because they are still one of the most effective ways for straightening teeth and transforming smiles. While these types of braces have been in existence for decades, the technology continues to improve. In the past twenty years, the metal brackets and wires have become significantly smaller, so they are more difficult to see and dont monopolize a patients smile. While the metal is still obvious, more of the natural tooth shines through.
Dr. Priya Mathew attended theUniversity of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicinein Philadelphia, PA, one of the country's top dental schools and part of the Ivy League. She graduated in 2009 as the youngest in her class at age 24 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree as part of a combined seven year program withVillanova University. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency atAbington Memorial Hospital, just a few miles from MVP Family Dental, where she gained even more knowledge about the dental profession in a hospital setting.

Came in to my operation day very nervous and not knowing what to expect. But knew I was going to get needles but to my surprise I barely felt them which is a first. Had the operation and it was successful I have definitely found a home in this dentist family and I thank them for accepting me.

I have such a horrific phobia about going to the dentist, and I'd stopped going for quite a few years. I've been a patient with MVP for about a year, and I'm so thankful I found them! The staff, everyone from the front desk to the hygienists, to Dr.Mathew and Dr. Thomas are wonderful! I couldn't recommend this practice more!

I have been going to MVP for almost two years now. I moved to the area from center city and was having major issues with my teeth. Had I not switched dentists I would have lost my two front teeth. Aside from the excellence in dental work the team provides they also feel like they are my family and friends! I recently got married and I am still wearing my Invisalign. The team took the time to remove my brackets on my teeth before my wedding and put them back off afterwards so I could continue my treatment. If you are looking for a dentist in the area I highly recommend MVP!

Before I started going to MVP, I "hated" the dentist! When I was 9 years old, I went to the dentist (around the corner) for my yearly check-up. (It was before FLORIDE!) That summer I had 18 cavities. Well, after 5 needles to numb my mouth, I had had enough! When the dentist said "OPEN WIDE", I opened my mouth and when he put his finger in to give me the novocaine, I bit down so hard that the dentist pulled his finger out and jumped back and away, dropping the needle. I ran out of that office and all the way home without stopping. My Mother or Father could not get me back to the dentist afterwards! I am 76 now, it took me until I was 74/75 to change my mind about THE DENTIST! When I came to Dr. Thomas, for my first visit with MVP, I really enjoyed myself. (I couldn't believe it!) It felt like and still does at each visit like a GIRLS PARTY! I even had teeth pulled, a partial and tooth whitening done. I would have Never beforehand !!!!! Even Diane, the Dental Hygenist, is full of fun while working on my mouth! Giggle time! I must say: I look forward to my next visit! Eileen McCole

After 8 years at my old dentist I had to make a switch to MVP dental. Today, they fixed a very obvious cavity behind my front tooth/veneer (which my previous dentist didn't inform me of) They did so very quickly, which is very important for someone like me who has really bad dental anxiety. The staff was also very friendly, which helped after a week of me thinking I was going to lose my front tooth. Safe to say I'm going to be a returning patient.

I was recommended here by a close friend when I was having bad tooth pain due to a broken tooth and I was nervous going to a place I never been. From the moment I walked in the office, it was like walking in to heaven with angels. Dr Matthew is nothing short of a miracle I needed that day. The entire staff is so amazing and it really shows that they love what they do!!

I have major dental anxiety and trust me when I tell you - I will never go to another dental office again after my appointment this morning. Everyone who works there is so kind, happy, and I literally could have fallen asleep while Diane did my cleaning- you need to ask for her. She gave me the best teeth cleaning experience of my life!

My first visit to MVP Family Dental in Jenkintown was awesome! First, I called to schedule an appointment and was able to get one on the same day--which was great. From the minute I walked in the door, the entire environment was pleasing. The office staff was friendly and pleasant and the overall setting was clean, serene, and welcoming. The overall vibe was really nice. There was no real wait time. Shortly after arriving, I was greeted by Diane B (dental hygienist). She was fabulous! I can honestly say it was the most comprehensive consultation I've ever had in a dentist's office. Diane took the time to run and explain various diagnostics (including x-rays) and to answer any questions that I had. She is pleasant, professional, and gentle (but thorough) in her work. Next, Dr. Vineetha Thomas came to examine my x-rays and diagnostics and she is truly a real joy to talk to! She is kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. She also took time to chat and give me feedback/answer questions. I felt so comfortable chatting with her--as though I had known her for years. This is an amazing dental office in every way and I am truly glad I found them. I will be recommending to my friends and family! Thanks MVP Family Dental for a great experience!

I've got a fair amount of dental phobia. I let them know up front at my first visit and they were great from start to finish. They explained everything they'd be doing and gave lots of detail on what was happening. They were very friendly and kind. I'd recommend anyone to try them out.
