Several years before the opening of MVHC in January of 2008, Chuck Hunter envisioned a health center that would provide access to quality, affordable primary care services to people in the community. Following his retirement from a long and distinguished career in hospital administration, Mr. Hunter was named the CEO of MVHC in 2007. He proudly accepted the position and the overwhelming task of ensuring the health centers in Malta and Zanesville would move from vision to reality.

As he did throughout his career, Mr. Hunter approached the challenge at hand with a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and passion. He worked relentlessly to ensure no detail, even those of the smallest degree, was overlooked. Mr. Hunter worked diligently to identify and gain the support of community partners to make this project possible.

Sadly, in December of 2007, just weeks before the opening of MVHC, Mr. Hunter passed away unexpectedly. Today his legacy lives on through the tireless efforts of the many providers and employees who carry out his mission of providing quality, affordable healthcare to everyone in the communities we serve every day.

Since our opening, MVHC has experienced tremendous success and growth, none of which would have been possible without Chuck Hunter. To honor him and all he has done for our community, we established The Chuck Hunter Mission Award which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving the patient population of MVHC.

I cannot say enough good things about this Dentist office. I am a huge baby when it comes to dentist, but they made me feel at ease.(I've been know to erupt in tears or just walk out) They were able to squeeze me in during their walk in for an extraction. The dentist was very patient with me and listened to my concerns and worked with me. His assistant was very warm and friendly. I was talked completely through the procedure and it was done literally before I knew it. I felt no pain at all. We have set up a plan how to move forward on a smile I will be proud of again. My visit was excellent from the warm friendly receptionist; until I walked out at the end. Thank you!

Very good with children. I never heard any of the children ahead of us crying or upset as well as my child. They are exceptional when it comes to working on kids and keeping the calm and comfortable

My son has very bad anxiety & they were able to help him overcome his fears for his first dental visit. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Always had a good experience with my PCP Dr. David Klein, MD. I have all questions answered in layman terms, very open w/ me & Doctor Isn't afraid to spend some time.

Was there this morning for a walk-in dental visit. EVERYONE there was pleasant and professional, which eased an otherwise unpleasant procedure. Thanks, Ladies. (I would mention names, but didn`t get them all)

I absolutely do not recommend this dental office! I was a patient for a couple years and was there 5 months ago. They currently don't have a Dr in the office and had to reschedule me twice. I decided to see another dentist and now I have so many things I need done that Muskingum over looked or ignored. I'm going for two root canals 3 crowns and 7 fillings. I'm so frustrated and upset . I have severe anxiety with the dentist and this is so horrible to hear all the work I need. Especially that I was just at Muskingum and I had ask about certain teeth and they said they were fine and I only needed one filling.

Within the past year, I made an appointment with MVHDental in Coshocton for my daughter (age 8) for a dental exam and cleaning, which at that time they did x-rays and discovered some cavities, 2 of which were in her permanent molars. She had 2 separate subsequent visits within the few months after that during which she had those cavities drilled out and filled, one per visit. We were then referred to find a pediatric dentist to continue her care, which I found a pediatric dental office on my own. We have now had 2 visits at the pediatric dentist. Today we had an appointment to address one of the teeth that she had already had filled at MVHDental. Our new dentist had to remove the filling that MVHDental had put in because there was still decay UNDER the filling! And that same tooth had decay on the side that the dentist at MVHDental had completely missed. It has only been a few months since we were at MVHDental so I know this is not something that has just developed since we were last there. Now at our next appointment next month our new dentist is going to check the other tooth that MVHDental filled because according to the x-rays that our new dentist took, it looks like we may have the same thing going on with that tooth also. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in our experience with MVHDental in Coshocton. The staff was kind enough to my daughter, but not really warm or sensitive to her being very nervous, or sensitive to my concerns as her mom. They were pretty much just about taking care of business, and it felt a bit rushed also. And as far as communicating with me as to what the issues were with her teeth and recommending treatment and so forth, I felt really left out of the loop. Any information I got was because I had to ask, not because it was offered to me, and I was not asked if I had any questions or concerns. I am extremely pleased with our new dentist, where my daughter's care 100% includes me and I can look over the dentist's shoulder while she is working on my daughter's teeth. She is kind and caring and as patient as my daughter needs her to be. We will not be returning to MVHC for any dental or medical needs, and if someone ever asks me about my experience there, I will be honest..it was not good. I recommend that if you are needing a dentist for your children, keep looking.
