Pediatric dentistry is dental care especially for children. Must Love Kids has three board-certified pediatric dentists who have undertaken additional training so they can provide quality dental care to meet the unique needs of growing kids. Finding a trusted dental home for your children, where they can get preventive dental services and treatment throughout their childhood, helps to reduce dental-related anxiety. We make dental visits fun and our friendly and caring staff help to instil healthy dental habits in your child, so they can smile brightly now and forever. Our highly experienced dental team can also provide care to children with special health care needs.

The old adage of prevention is better than cure rings true when it comes to preventive dental care. Regular visits to the dentist will help your child to keep their teeth healthy and avoid major dental issues in the future. Your childs dentist will examine tooth development, check for cavities and decay, and provide treatment for any dental problems. From checkups and cleanings to fluoride treatments and sealants, preventive dental care is aimed at keeping your childs teeth and mouth healthy. Unfortunately, if left untreated, small dental issues can transform into major dental problems, which can be both painful and costly to fix, and why its important to stay vigilant with oral health and dental visits. And, remembergood health starts with the whole family. Set a great example for your children and encourage regular preventive checkups with the dentist. Youll be glad you did!

All I can say is AMAZING! Staff were all friendly and professional. My son loves it here and felt very comfortable. I would recommend this dentist to all my friends and family with kids. Hands down, best kids' dentist in Vancouver.

The Computer Assisted Local Anesthesia uses the latest in technology to deliver a pain-free option for anesthesia. Ideal for treating children, its a great alternative to regular dental injections, which have the potential to cause dental-related anxiety and fear in younger patients. The Wand uses a computerized system to deliver a local anesthetic right into the tooth being treated. Importantly, it doesnt numb your entire face like traditional injections, so kids dont face any difficulty eating or speaking post-treatment.

Yes, your childs baby teeth will fall out eventually and a new set of adult teeth will come through. But, baby teeth arent disposablethey are necessary and worth restoring. Baby teeth play an important role in helping children to chew and speak, and they also help a childs permanent teeth to grow into their correct position. If your child has major decay in a baby tooth, a stainless steel crown can be an effective way to restore it. This offers a durable option to protect the tooth until the childs adult teeth erupt and at times is the only option for treatment.

Sedation dentistry is available at Must Love Kids to help children feel more at ease with their dental treatment. It can be particularly helpful for kids with dental-related anxiety or special health care needs, such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or other complex health conditions. We use safe and effective techniques to increase patient comfort and ease nerves and anxiety. Nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation (sometimes called laughing gas) is regularly used in children during minor dental procedures to ease anxiety. We also offer general anesthesia through an independent anesthesiologist (MD) in house or in a local hospital when necessary. This is a controlled state of unconsciousness that can work well for more complex treatments.

Sedation dentistry isnt the only option to calm the fears of young patients. Our highly experienced team can help to reduce dental-related anxiety through behavior guidance and non-medication options. Behavior guidance is a technique used to alleviate dental anxiety and to create a positive attitude towards dental care. It allows pediatric dentists to perform dental treatments for infants, toddlers, teens, and children with special health care needs. Importantly, our dentists will tailor treatment to suit each childs needs. There is no one size fits all approach.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children receive an orthodontic evaluation no later than age seven. This is because their first adult molars erupt around this age, which establishes the back bite. An orthodontic evaluation is a straightforward process. Dr. Mo will evaluate your childs tooth development and examine the mouth for signs of crowding or space issues. An evaluation ensures that any orthodontic treatments can be recommended early enough to prevent major dental issues from occurring for your child in the future.

Orthodontic interceptive care helps to guide your childs adult teeth and it corrects any malocclusion or problems with their bite. It also helps reduce the need for tooth removal and gives your child the best possible start to life with their adult teeth. Your pediatric dentist will advise whether any orthodontic treatment is required for your child after an orthodontic evaluation. Treatments typically include space maintainers, palatal expanders, and/or braces. Any orthodontic treatments are closely monitored by our pediatric dentists to ensure the best possible solutions are available for your child for optimal results.

These guys are absolutely amazing. They took such great care of my daughter this week. The team went above and beyond for our family multiple times. Out of every kids dentistry I've ever been to these guys are hands down the best and my kids will never go anywhere else.

When teens are faced with crooked teeth or other dental issues, it can cause a drop in self-esteem and confidence. But with regular preventive dental care and orthodontic evaluation and treatments, you can prevent serious dental problems for your child in the future. Braces are a very common orthodontic treatment for teens. They can even be used as a treatment in children as early as eight years old. Braces help guide the development of a childs teeth and jaw. They ensure they are properly aligned, keeping your teens smiling now and tomorrow.

Would not recommend taking your kids here. I have a 5 year old son who needed to get treatment done and they wouldn't allow be to be in the room with him during treatment. During the routine cleaning they had no problem with me sitting in the room but he needed to get a filling and crown done the first time they had me wait in the waiting room and I didn't think anything of it because I had my daughter with me. He came out of treatment crying because it hurt, but they were able to complete the treatment. We came in for the second treatment and I came alone because my son asked me if I come with him this time so he wouldn't cry. They said no I can't it is their policy. I asked them to ask the doctor, she came back and said the doctor won't allow it. I asked if I can if he refuses to let them do the treatment she said she will ask the doctor. My son agrees to go in and 5 minutes later she comes back and said my son wouldn't open his mouth. She said the next step is putting him to sleep for the treatment. I asked again if we can first try having me come hold his hand and calm him and she said no the doctor won't allow me in the room. My son is 5 years old shy and never had a problem at the dentist until they caused him pain. I think it is ridiculous that they would not allow a mom to comfort her minor as a first step before sedation. They never explained to me why just said it was their policy. I later did some research about why they would make this a policy and some examples were that parents bullied kids for crying or not being still and caused more anxiety for kids. Still not a good reason for this to be a policy for all parents. They also had a child die during a procedure while he was under general anesthesia. They didn't specifically say they were at fault or not, but if you read the details the child was left unattended when coming out of sedation. Who knows if the maybe the child was monitored the whole time they could of caught that something was wrong. Huge red flag for me. Needless to say I wouldn't come back. Think about your kid being sedated and you're sitting there in the waiting room hoping they care enough to be properly monitoring your child.

Fantastic place to take your children. Decorated to make the kids feel comfortable start to finish. My little one had dental surgery recently and the team was fantastic. Thorough explanation of the process with a great demeanor for us worried parents and open contact. Checked in a couple times that day to see how my LO was recovering. 10/10 would recommend!

My daughter has a fear of dental work and recently she clamped her teeth down on the dentist finger out of fear. They were so patient and forgiving, always trying to make her feel as comfortable as possible. I can't recommend their office enough!

To be honest for the most part in the past I had always been happy with the service they provided here unfortunately my sons last appointment did not have the same outcome my husband let my sin go to the back alone and when my son came out he was crying he said they where hurting him he was scared and unhappy I don't believe they should be taking 5 year Olds to the back with out a parent that should not be optional to clarify not going to the back was a option my husband decided not to go back that was totally on him he has another appointment today hoping he makes etter choice I realize now after venting this was more my husband's fault not the dentist still a great location

The staff have always been professional and courteous, even though my children aren't the quietest little mice in the room. The techs know how to say just the right things to get my kids minds off of their fears, and the docs (no matter which one has their eyes in my kids mouths) are always smiling and very informative. I come with a lot of questions and they never act like I am taking up their time or that I am a bad mom for one of my kids getting a cavity. Everyone here is very supportive!
