Dr. Musgrave knows how to correct all kinds of orthodontic problems from the very simple, to the very complex tooth movements, to the more advanced surgical cases. In fact, many times general dentists and even orthodontists will refer their most difficult orthodontic and TMJ (jaw joint) cases to Dr. Musgrave. Dr. Musgrave really enjoys the positive responses of patients as beautiful changes occur in their dental appearance and of his TMJ patients as they experience relief from their painful symptoms as treatment progresses.

Growing up in Rochester, New York, Dr. Musgrave moved to Delaware, Ohio his junior year of high school and graduated from Delaware Hayes. He enrolled at Ohio Wesleyan University where he played on the nationally ranked soccer team. Also, he played clarinet in the Central Ohio Symphonic Orchestra.

On the weekends, Dr. Musgrave regularly attends and serves at The Dream Center providing breakfast and spiritual counsel to the homeless and under-served community at Rock City Church in downtown Columbus.

No. All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to become a board certified orthodontist. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievementa significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics. The process requires the orthodontist to demonstrate actual accomplishments in patient care with detailed case reports on the treatment provided for a broad range of patient problems. Board certification is a voluntary achievement that all orthodontists do not choose to pursue. In order to become board certified by the ABO, an individual orthodontist is thoroughly interviewed by a highly respected panel of examiners to demonstrate their orthodontic knowledge, clinical skills and judgment.

One. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only certifying board in the specialty that is recognized by the American Dental Association. The ABO was founded in 1929 and is the oldest specialty board in dentistry. The boards purpose is to elevate the quality of orthodontic care for the public by promoting excellence through certification, education and professional collaboration.

Successful completion of the examination process demonstrates the orthodontists highest commitment to excellence in orthodontics to both the orthodontic profession and the general public. It represents a commitment by a licensed specialist that he/she has the necessary knowledge base and skills to treat patients to the highest of standards. It exemplifies a practitioners commitment to continue to keep abreast of the latest advances in patient care, and to continue to deliver these latest advances to patients. Many orthodontists see it as a demonstration of their dedication to the specialty and the highest level of personal achievement.

Since the establishment of the ABO in 1929, the certification process requirements have continued to adjust to the demands of the specialty. Today, the process involves a thorough Written Examination (240 questions) covering all areas of information which an orthodontist should be knowledgeable. Successful completion of this board exam allows the orthodontist to proceed to the Clinical Examination where they present detailed case reports from their practice/residency, demonstrating a history of excellence in patient care. These cases are evaluated by a panel of examiners and later discussed during an oral examination where the applicant is tested on a wide variety of academic and clinical topics. After successful completion of these examinations, the orthodontist has officially achieved Board Certification, for a time-limited period. The orthodontist must go through Certification Renewal every 10 years to maintain their certification status by demonstrating this continued level of patient care.

I have held several positions in the orthodontic office. I was trained as an assistant initially, and then moved to the front office as a receptionist. At this time, my main responsibility is being the financial coordinator.

Hello, my name is Jenny and I am a clinical assistant for Musgrave Orthodontics. I graduated from Ridgedale High School and grew up in the Marion area. After high school, I graduated from the First Impressions Dental Assisting School.

Dr. Musgrave has been an orthodontist for over 25 years and chooses to do the right treatment, at the right time, to create beautiful smiles. The majority of our cases are treatedwithout removal of permanent teeth. Also, many patients who have been told that jaw surgery is needed to correct their bite, have been successfully treated non-surgically by Dr. Musgrave.

Dr. Musgrave spent a year treatingonlypatients with TMJ (jaw joint) problems at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester NY, and has successively treated hundreds of patients relieving them of their TMJ and facial pain

Our staff members are very nice and welcoming people you can trust. In fact, the entire staff has had orthodontic treatment by Dr. Musgrave so they know how it feels to have braces and can be more compassionate to provideyou with better care.

Patient Rewards Program patients can acquire points for having good brushing, good dental check ups, not having loose braces, etc., which can be redeemed for gift cards at their favorite stores or restaurants.

I just completed getting my upper and lower retaining wires from Dr. Musgrave. As an adult going back to get work done on my teeth could have been unpleasant, but it wasn't. It was a great experience! Amazing staff and quiet atmosphere. Very highly recommend their services.

You will feel at home from the first time you walk in the door. Dr. Mark's staff are friendly and professional. His work is top notch and the customer service experience is second to none. If you need Ortho work this is the place to go. Dr Musgrave was excellent. His staff was so warm and inviting and pleasure to interact with especially Judy! She is great so knowledgeable and just a great lady. Just take your business here, you wont regret it.

Dr. Musgrave and his staff have been nothing but kind and caring while taking care of my daughter. The front desk people are always so helpful. It is a place that I would highly recommend getting a consultation with. Dr. Musgrave is patient minded and they always come first. He is hands on and just an overall great place to be! Great experience. Everyone is very nice and attentive. Never rush with me yet I never have to wait . Best of all after trying other Drs for very painful TMJ, Dr Musgrave fixed me. No more pain. When I said I was in pain they got me in right away. Not used to that.

This office goes above and beyond. They arranged my appointment the same day that I called, which was amazing right before a holiday weekend. The entire staff was kind, patient and pleasant. Dr Musgrave fixed my retainer issue brilliantly and even polished the edges of my teeth. I left that office feeling great. The kindness, attention to detail and quick scheduling was above and beyond. I would recommend this office to anyone I know. Thank you!!!

Working with Dr.Mark Musgrave and staff has been one of the best decisions Ive ever made. As an Adult I was nervous about getting braces but Dr.Musgrave and staff has made the transition very easy and smooth and have explained the entire process every step of the way. Being remembered by name and greeted with friendly smiles and quick appointments has made me feel more like Family or Coworker then a patient. The clear bracket braces are barely noticeable as most people never even notice. I look forward to finishing my journey with Dr.Musgrave and the friendly assistants. Best Orthodontist and staff around. Always feel cared for and treated amazing. Been seeing Dr. Musgrave for the last 10 years or so when needed since I had my braces. Recently, I had medical issue and Dr. Musgrave and his staff helped me through a difficult time. They treated me with care and compassion for my medical issues and guided me to the appropriate treatment that was needed.
