Dr. Kamena was born and raised in Livermore, California. He is an Eagle Scout and a 1992 Livermore High School valedictorian. He earned his bachelor's degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley in 1997. He graduated from the UOP School of Dentistry in 2001. He, his wife, and their two children live in Livermore, serving their actual hometown.
His father, Marshall, was the Mayor of Livermore from 1978 to 1979 and again from 2000 to 2011. His mother, Barbara, was also born in Livermore and was a long time Livermore elementary school teacher. His brother, Scott, is a Livermore optometrist (www.MurrietaOptometry.com).

I have been going Murrieta Dental Care for quite awhile. I eally like Dr. Kamena and his staff. They listen to my concerns, are attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend them highly.

Very nice office. Greeting at the door was pleasant. Teeth were cleaned painlessly and the dental assistant was professional. Dr. Kamena answered all my questions. Highly recommend. July 2020-As with above the visit again was a 5 star visit. I was screened for Covid-19 appropriately at entry. Dr. Kamena explained everything that would be occurring. The replacement of a crown was done painlessly without the need for full mouth anesthesia. Teeth cleaning was completed thoroughly.

I had an amazing experience getting my teeth cleaned and my x-rays done. The staff was really nice and on time, they also had some new technology where I was able to see the inside of my mouth and behind my teeth where they explained what needed to be done. I will be going back!

Dr. Kamena hires well. Everyone is very professional and nice and good at their job. If you want a 20 minute quick cleaning this is not your office. They take their time and are thorough. I highly recommend them.
