After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Medical Biology, Dr. McGowan attended Dental School at Marquette University in Wisconsin. Following Dental School, Dr. McGowan completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Utah where he underwent advanced training in Dental Implants, complex Root Canals, cosmetic dentistry, and oral surgery. Dr. McGowan currently works one day per week at the Salt Lake VA hospital and enjoys caring for our veterans. When he is not seeing patients, he loves skiing, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his family.

I've had a root canal and a crown done by Dr. McGowan and I haven't had ANY issues. In fact they were both easier and more painless than I expected. I would recommend him any day!

I have been going to Dr. McGowan for years now. He is very transparent with everything and has a more conservative approaxh to treatment which I appreciate. The staff are all helpful and informative. They also have TV's during treatment which a nice.

I've ran the gamut with Dr McGowan and his staff. Root canals, fillings, cleanings, and pullings. Always a positive and successful experience. I highly recommend Murray Park Dental.

Don't get your root canals done by McGowan (I had to get two of mine completely redone by an endodontist due to lingering pain), or your crowns (I had to get two replaced because he left big gaps behind in two he did for me - one of these was different than the two root canals he did incompletely), or your wisdom teeth (my wife had pain and a swollen face for two weeks, not normal). Or maybe anything. We've moved around due to my wife and I's careers after having seen Dr. McGowan for about a year more than 5 years ago. After two separate dentists and one endodontist across the states of Utah and Washington examined us and told us they were shocked at the work he did, I came back here to finally write this review because I don't take writing bad reviews lightly. I don't want to affect somebody's business just because I have a grudge. But three dental professionals think he was this bad on top of my wife and I going through this much pain and money, so he probably is. We considering suing him but didn't have the time or money. Seriously, stay away. I'm not sure what is going on: he's a nice guy, but maybe he's just not good at being a dentist or doesn't take the time to be.

Don't get your root canals done by this dentist. I've had to have mine redone by someone else.

Dr. McGowan and his staff are super wonderful to work with. Dr. McGowan goes way above and beyond in the care of his patients. He and his staff are very kind, gently, and caring. They show a very high level of competence and communicate clearly and professionally. They always talk to me about what they are doing and why they are doing it. They have earned my complete trust. I really enjoy going to them!

I'm a dentist in bountiful and have lots of friends that are also. I could see any number of great dentists for my own personal care. I drive down to see Dave not just because he is my brother, but because I trust and have seen his high quality work. I've had a root canal done by him that looks and feels great. I've had multiple filling done by him. I recently had a dental implant done by him. Dave always gives a painless shot (yes even dentists hate getting shots). I think the girls working there are great and very nice also. All around really great office with an expert dentist.

Amazing Service. I appreciate their flexibility. Their office hours are a little unconventional but they are willing to work with me everytime I call. I really like The Doctor and Staff.
