Our clinical team is committed to being on the forefront of the latest developments in orthodontics. They regularly take continuing education courses and are almost as geeked out about treatment as Dr. Murray. But its the way they treat our patients and not just our patients teeth that really sets them apart.
Our front office team is all about making your time with us the best it can be. They are knowledgeable, know how to give you some space when you need it, and are always ready to lend an ear or a hand.
From the moment you arrive to the day your braces come off, or your Invisalign is complete, our hope is that you will feel at home and more like you're hanging out with family than just visiting the doctor.
Dr. John Murray is a Board Certified Orthodontist who received both his dental degree and his orthodontic specialty certificate from Columbia University in New York City. Then, like so many of us, he chose to live and raise his family in Alaska because of his love of the outdoors. Dr. Murray has practiced Orthodontics in Anchorage, Alaska since 1996.
Dr. Murrays father was also an orthodontist and he used to hang out in his dads practice when he was a boy. From a very early age he knew he wanted to follow in his dads footsteps; changing lives through the gift of a healthy, confident smile.
Dr. Libby received his dental and orthodontic degrees from Loma Linda University, in Southern California, respectively. He returned to his home town of Anchorage enjoying being an integral member of the community. He is well aware of the importance of a healthy smile and the impact orthodontics has on young peoples lives.

Thanks to all of those that stopped by and had a snow cone! We served up over 1,000! Decorating a flower garden themed porta-potty was a new tradition and we can't wait to do all of it again next year!

I was expecting after dropping 12k on ortho for my boys, that my son's impacted canine wouldn't be overlooked. Now he's going back into ortho again at another practice. It has caused my son to have dental anxiety. He has too many practices and obviously too busy and his treatment was overlooked until it was too late. It was great, until it wasn't.

Dr. Murray and his team have been nothing but great with my three kids. He has been gracious with my kids when timid and shy, drawing them out with cool quips and smiles to make them comfortable at the office. He has supported my kids in sports and their activities and seems to go out of his way to get to know us as not only his patient but friends. His professionalism and desire to help my kids obtain wonderful teeth alignment goes without saying. We recommend him to everyone and are very glad to have found such a wonderful orthodontist! Murray Orthodontics has been treating my daughter for 2 years. Each encounter has been extremely professional and informational. The staff is attentive, professional, and has wonderful customer service. When you have an emergency situation they get you scheduled the same day or week with no problems or having to schedule you out. I would highly recommend Murray Orthodontics to anyone!

Murray Orthodontics does an incredible job! They monitored our daughter for several years until the timing was right for braces. Every single staff member we have ever encountered at the Anchorage office has been phenomenal. We are beyond pleased with the level of care my daughter is receiving at Murray Orthodontics. We are able to schedule appointments far enough in advance that she is able to come in after school, and any time we've had an emergent situation come up they've gotten us in right away, usually within 15 minutes of me calling the office. We have received nothing but knowledgeable, compassionate, gentle and kind care and service. We love how engaging the office is and how supportive Dr Murray is of his patients' life endeavors, beyond the office walls. We are so grateful for his support of my daughter as she serves as Miss Alaska Jr High and heads to nationals this summer. We could not be more pleased with our experience at Murray.

We have had such a wonderful and pleasant experience going to Murray Orthodontics. The front desk staff are very welcoming. Just about to finish up treatment with our second daughter and cannot say enough about Dr. Murray and his team. The office staff is great. Communication is great throughout the office. Everyone has been clear and concise regarding treatment and expectations for both of my daughters. My daughter loves the South Anchorage location. We also like the Northern Lights branch. The staff is very welcoming at the front desk. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. The staff in the back really helped in explaining to my daughter and myself what we need to know and watch out for with her braces. Dr. Murray and staff were open to any questions I had. Amazing experience for my daughter who was extremely nervous getting braces.

Dr. Murray has treated both of my daughters and I have been very pleased with the communication from him and his team, as well as the results so far. I particularly like how Dr. Murray's approach includes a team who really gets to know my kids and understand their concerns, as well as mine. Because of this kid-friendly approach, my kids don't mind going to the orthodontist, which is a big plus! I also appreciate the clarity of communication regarding costs and outcome, which helps to manage my expectations. We haven't had any financial surprises here. I recommend Dr. Murray and his office to anyone with tweens who is concerned about care, communication, and results.
