Murphy Family Dentistry continues dental tradition from generation to generation. The Murphy's, Charles Murphy and his brother, started practicing here in Lansing in the early 1900's. It has been continued by Charles sons' Joseph (deceased 1996) and Michael. Michael J. Murphy and his two son's John Michael Murphy and Kevin Raymond Murphy, whom are presently practicing on the west side of Lansing.
John Michael Murphy graduated from the University of Michigan in 1993 and Kevin Raymond Murphy, also graduated from the University of Michigan in 2002. Both are current members of the Michigan Dental Association.

Since pandemic and now, my feeling of teeth cleaning was not as good as before. It seems the staff were much less experienced.

I am really pleased with the level of concern, and compassion that the Hygienist's and Dr. Kevin have for their patients. The fact that your appointment is promptly on time. That the service is rendered in a professional, thorough, and efficient manner. I just had a permanent crown put in. I was in on time, the crown was given it's final fitting, and cemented in. And I was on my way rather quickly. So much so, that I was still able to be at another obligation, that was quite important. I am a very satisfied patient!

Dr Kevin Murphy quickly assessed the generalized pain I was having in my upper right teeth and found the source was one particular tooth. He sent me to Dr Epley, an endodontist, who agreed to see me immediately (thanks to AMY at Murphy Dentistry!). A root canal was performed that day! The entire staff at Murphy Family Dentistry is excellent!
