Dr. Tai is one half of the dentistry power couple behind Murphy Dental and Implant Center in Murphy, Texas. She received her periodontal prosthesis certificate from the University of Pennsylvania. The four-year, dual-specialty program combines multiple disciplines, making her adept in cosmetic, restorative, periodontic, and implant dentistry. She is one of only a small number of dentists around the world who has completed such a program.
While sharing her knowledge with the next generation of dentists, Dr. Tai was named Best Teacher by the Department of Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. She currently teaches in the graduate prosthodontics program at the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Ling and Dr. Tai have been a team since dental school. While Dr. Tai was training at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ling studied for his Certificate in Periodontics there too. Upon graduating, Dr. Ling received the Director's Award for outstanding clinical and academic performance and dedication to patient care. Dr. Lings periodontal and dental implant surgery certifications come from the American Board of Periodontology.
As partners in both life and in dentistry at the Murphy Dental and Implant Center, Dr. Ling and Dr. Tai collaborate to provide all aspects of dental, implant, and periodontal care. Theyve built their facility in a way that allows them to not only take care of your comprehensive dental needs but also to have the capacity to operate as a periodontal and implant office with a cutting-edge surgery room and 3D image technologies.
Karen has been in the dental field since 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences at McMurry University and completed her hygiene studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. When she is not at the office, Karen loves to travel and explore different cultures and cuisines, as well as to spend lots of time with her 2 baby girls and her Dog, Wrangler.
Fanar joined the dental field shortly after graduating from Arch Dental Assistant Academy in 2020. She is continuing her education in the dental field by fulfilling her dreams of becoming a dental hygienist. She strives to make patients feel comfortable and at ease. In her free time, Fanar enjoys hanging out with her family and friends.
Maria has been in the dental field since 2018. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Studies. Maria is our future dentist and will be moving away to attend dental school in the fall. She has plans to open her own practice one day! At work, you can find her assisting with surgeries and performing in-office whitening. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading, pilates, and playing the piano.
Madi joined the dental field after graduating from Dallas Dental Assistant School in 2021. After overcoming her fear of going the dentist, she strives to assist others by helping them feel more comfortable in visiting the dentist. She was born and raised in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School. In her spare time, Madi enjoys playing video games, shopping, and cooking gourmet meals with her boyfriend.
Melissa is new to the field of dentistry. She has spent the last few years working as an event planner, booking various forms of entertainment for parties and festivals. However, due to the global pandemic, she was afforded the opportunity to pursue a new career in insurance billing and coding. She is very excited delve into this brand new world and learn the ins and outs of how a dental practice runs. When she isnt calling insurance companies or following up on insurance claims, she is at home with husband of over 20 years, Aaron, binge watching their favorite shows or busy running to taekwondo practice with their son, Andrew.
