Dr. Muntean earned two degrees in Dentistry: one from the Bucharest School of Dentistry in Romania and the other from the University of Southern California in 1986. This tradition of excellent education in dentistry is now continuing with his daughter, Sable, who is currently a dental student.
Dr. Muntean has placed his utmost interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry in order to create natural beauty for his patients. He is still a student, taking a large number of post-graduation continuing education courses in a variety of subjects with the most prestigious dentists in the country to assure the best quality of dental care for his patients. Almost all of his patients come to the practice from referrals from current patients.
Along with his previously stated credentials, Dr. Muntean is an Alumnus of the Dawson Academy and Spear Education Institute. He also became involved in the evaluation of esthetic and anatomical qualities for the latest, and best, denture teeth developed by the oldest and most prestigious dental company in Europe, Vident.
As a physician of the Masticatory System, Dr. Munteans goal is to provide complete dentistry to his patients, creating value for comfortable chewing, beautiful looking teeth, healthy gums, and insuring ones teeth to last a life time with proper home care.

Dr. Muntean and Juana are the best! They handled my dental work with extreme care & professionalism and I can't stop looking at my teeth. I had two cavities filled (one especially severe) and a cleaning done and I felt minimal discomfort afterwards or the next day. The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Muntean is that he takes the time to carefully explain to you what he is doing and why. As a patient I've thoroughly appreciated this because I've never understood what was being done to my teeth in the past with previous dentists and I've just been left with a large bill and a sore mouth. Not with Dr. Muntean! He makes sure you understand everything and takes pictures and x-rays throughout the process so he can show you what he is doing with your dental work. I highly recommend Muntean Denistry!

Dr. Sorin Muntean has been our wonderful dentist for over 25 years and even my 'dental phobic' wife sings his praises. Dr. Muntean is the most gentle, caring, patient and professional dental artist in his field. We are always confident that his referrals to other dental specialists are of the same exceptional education standard that he demands of himself. Georgette {office} and Juana {assistant} are so genuinely welcoming; they make the entire dental experience more like a visit with family! I never believed it would be possible to have such a transformative smile but thanks to Dr. Muntean I now have a reason to smile all the time! We also feel privileged to have watched Sable become a gorgeous young woman and a fabulous young dentist and we look forward to updates on all her wonderful future accomplishments!

First visit post Covid 19 closure. High stress on PPE and detailed disinfecting procedures. I felt at ease and safe. I have always appreciated Dr. Muntean and his assistant Juana for their focus on hygiene practices. Notwithstanding, best dentistry office in the area bar none.

I have been a patient of Dr Muntean for 20+ years. Dr Muntean has provided outstanding service to me during the entire time. I have had several dental problems pop up over the years where Dr Muntean referred me to other distinguished dental specialists. Dr Muntean provides thorough exams and diagnoses problems with an exceptionable level of detail. Dr Muntean will go above and beyond to educate you as to what is going on and offer a course of action to address your dental issues, from very conservative approaches to definitive solutions. Dr Muntean has a friendly demeanor, easy to talk to, which allows the patient to discuss any potential dental problems. Not to be overlooked, the support staff and office manager make the overall patient experience an enjoyable one.

I had a very positive experience at the office of Dr. Muntean Sorin in Thousand Oaks, Ca. The office is very clean, pleasantly decorated by Georgette the front office attendant, well lighted and inviting. The dental assistant is also very attentive and helpful. Dr. Muntean explained everything about how my teeth will need to be treated to get the best wished outcome. He did not press me into doing anything unnecessary, gave me time to think about and decide what to do. He is a very skilled professional and has excellent chair manners with the touch of finesse. He was very thorough with the work I needed and went way and above to make me happy. I highly recommend him and his office to anyone looking for a dentist that cares and wants what is best for you.

Dr. Muntean is the best. I can't imagine there being a better dentist out there, save for his daughter, Sable. His staff is great--Georgette, the office manager, and Juana, his assistant. Dr. Muntean is a perfectionist--forget customer satisfaction--if Dr. Muntean is not satisfied, your not getting up from that patient chair. If you want it done right, you're in the right place.

Came in to get a filling replaced. The filling broke on me two days later. When I called to complain, they told me there was nothing they could do about a refund since they recommended I get a crown and did not "guarantee" the filling would last. With that logic, if the filling fell out the moment I walked out of the office, then it'd be 100% my fault. Why even put in the filing in the first place?
