L. Robyn Mullinger has been licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Michigan since 1982. She received her bachelors degree fromMichigan State University in 1975. After graduating from Michigan State, she worked two years doing research in cardiology for Wayne State University. She then worked one year for Chrysler Corporation doing research in catalytic converters. She then attended University of Detroit (now University of Detroit Mercy) School of dentistry.
She first opened up her practice in Grosse Pointe Woods part time and also worked at a dental clinic in Highland Park. After five years, she moved her practice to St. Clair Shores, where she has practiced ever since.
Dr Mullinger has a reputation as being a person always on the go, but never too busy to care for others. This is reflected in the personal care and attention she provides for each of her patients. She is passionate about dentistry stays up to date on the latest dental techniques like implant restorations, soft and hard tissue laser techniques and Invisalign, to provide you with the safest and most effective treatments.
Dr. Mullinger is also passionate about giving back to the community and profession that has given her so much. Volunteering is an important to give back. She was the Girl Scout cookie coordinator and first aid mom for her daughters Girl Scout troop for five years. She taught math pentathlon for sons fourth and fifth grade class. When her children were in high school band she volunteered in band boosters, including Chairman of the Pops and Pastry Concert, and President.

I was referred to this office by my endodontist, unfortunately, they don't take my insurance, but the receptionist who answered the phone was so rude, I wouldn't go there if they did.

Dr. Robyn Mullinger is an excellent dentist and a very nice person. This opinion comes from an older retired professional who can usually find the negative side of anything. The staff at Robyn's office is also very caring, pleasant and professional. Robyn is a good age for a doctor - old enough to have lots of experience, but young enough to keep up to date with current practices. As part of the latter, Robyn participates in a regional dental study group where several dentists discuss new technology and techniques. Her office has state-of-the-art equipment that allows her to do advanced treatments. She offers a very broad range of treatments/services ranging from the most basic to quite sophisticated. Showing Robyn's peer stature in dentistry, she is a past president of the Detroit District Dental Society. From a patient perspective, Robyn also is very good at explaining what needs to be done, why, how it will be accomplished, and the cost. She also presents alternatives when appropriate. Robyn values a knowledgeable staff, and explains what she's doing during treatment. There is a recognition that dental issues don't always arrive at convenient times. Office hours vary during the week, and include Saturday, to accommodate patient needs. Patient comfort is well managed - at no time during or after treatment did I experience any discomfort. The office is located in a well-maintained stand-alone building, with ample parking.

Dr. Mullinger made me a bite guard to wear at night. I had really painful TMJ, and since I started wearing the bite guard, it is gone! I live on the west side, and my regular dentist is closer to home. I showed her the new bite guard and she was really impressed. She had never seen one like it. I highly recommend Dr. Mullinger's services.
