I want to thank you for taking the time to explore our website and learn how our family dental office can serve you and your family. My name is Matthew Mullally and I would like to begin forming our relationship now by sharing my story and the story of Mullally Family Dentistry.
I grew up with my eight siblings in a small farm town in Michigan. My parents are both family physicians who have operated their own rural medical practice for over 20 years. Being able to witness firsthand the care that my parents provided for their patients gave me the desire to pursue healthcare as my life's work. The ability to combine health, medicine, technical skill, and art to provide exceptional care for my patients led me to the field of dentistry.
For my undergraduate studies I attended Ave Maria University in sunny Florida where I majored in Biology and graduated with honors. This is also where I met the love of my life, Alicia. We were married shortly after graduation and moved back to Michigan to continue our education. I went on to attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where I graduated in the top of my class and was elected into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society which recognizes the top dental students nationally in the areas of academics, superior ethics and character. Additionally, I was honored to receive the Pediatric Dentistry Clinical Excellence Award for my skill in treating children. I suppose I was at a slight advantage to receive this award as my wife and I had two children during dental school and were expecting our third at graduation.
Both of these institutions instilled in me a desire to be a lifelong learner and to truly perfect my craft. That is why I am always on top of the latest developments in dentistry and am able to provide an extremely wide range of services for my patients. Having pursued extensive training and continuing education I am able to care for a vast spectrum of patients from children to the geriatric population and also have a special desire and skill for treating patients with special needs.
My dream to open my own practice has been with me long before dental school. Thus, after graduating with my DDS degree, we began to search for a place to open our practice. After working at offices in both Michigan and Indiana, we found our home in the Indianapolis area. We fell in love with the family friendly environment and our church community. Hence, Mullally Family Dentistry was born. We are now proud Hoosiers and look forward to serving our community.
When I am not at the office I enjoy spending time with my wife and six children. I enjoy camping and passing on some of my Eagle Scout knowledge to my son on these trips. As a former collegiate soccer player and avid sports fan, I enjoy coaching youth teams and am a fan of the Indy Eleven.
