Dr. Scott was raised in Charleston South Carolina and earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon dental school graduation he decided upon a career with the US Navy Dental Corp. This decision offered him a chance to serve our country, as well as gaining diverse clinical experience and professional growth. His assignments carried him to many locations throughout the world. A career highlight was his assignment at Bethesda Naval Hospital called the Presidents Hospital located outside D.C. Dr. Scott served as Chairman and Program Director of the Periodontics Department at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School. At this teaching hospital, his department was involved in the specialty training of new military dentists. His staff was also dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of our many wounded warriors. Dr. Scotts absolute focus was on helping this most deserving group of patients, but in retrospect, he was the one who benefitted the most by expanding his scope of advanced surgical skills. It was this assignment that shaped his treatment philosophy. Patients first with no second priority.

After many years of military service and too many family moves, his final assignment was at the Bangor base. Having travelled to many places in the Navy, the Northwest immediately captured him with its abundant natural beauty. But It was the wonderful people that sold him on making the Northwest his final home. Dr. Scott is ready to share his many years of clinical experience to the people of this magnificent area at Mukilteo Dental Center.

On weekends, you can find Dr. Scott hiking with his black lab, kayaking in the Sound, and fishing for salmon. During his time off, he volunteers with local charity groups to provided dental care to families in need. He and wife, Michelee, continue to explore this part of our country at every opportunity and to work to become part of the local community.

Dr. Risha Khan is passionate about dentistry and has spent the past decade focused on patient care and embracing advanced dental technology. She is loved by patients for her enthusiastic spirit and her wealth of knowledge. Dr. Khan received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Illinois in Chicago and relocated to the Pacific Northwest with her husband and young daughter.

As a family, they enjoy hiking, exploring new restaurants in the area, and watching Netflix. Dr. Khans favorite shows include Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and Stranger Things. Dr. Khan has a big heart for the community and her outreach work includes volunteering with Safe Haven and providing dental care for special needs adults at the UCP Seguin Shelter.

Everyone that has met Dr. Beers unanimously agrees that she is a perfect addition. She is passionate about dentistry and advanced technology and has a sincere enthusiasm for making connections with patients and keeping smiles healthy and happy.

Dr. Beers was born in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and moved to Portland, OR when she was five and a half years old. She graduated Valedictorian from Cleveland High School and went on to receive her Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Portland State Honors College. For graduate school she didnt venture far and received her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Oregon Health and Science University. An avid lifetime learner, she decided to do one more year of training at an advanced education in general dentistry residency through the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and Union City, California. There she was trained in the latest preventative and endodontic technologies, periodontal surgery, oral surgery, hospital dentistry, and special needs care.

As a young child, Dr. Beers had a negative dental experience and at that time made it her goal to become a dentist so other patients didnt have to go through what she had gone through. She is now known for her caring demeanor and strong focus on patient comfort. A huge advocate of preventative dentistry, she heartily believes that every single person deserves to keep their teeth for as long as possible and provides personalized care for each patient to help achieve that. She considers patients her dental family and is incredibly excited and grateful to be part of a team that feels the same way.

Outside of school and work, Dr. Beers has always been very passionate about the community. As a young teenager, she was in an anti-bullying performance troupe called Voices Against Violence, volunteered for Portland Community Gardens, and organized a supply run for a domestic violence shelter. As an adult, she volunteers at free dental clinics, has gone on a mission trip, and has been very involved in teaching Special Olympics athletes how to take care of their oral health. She feels very lucky to be part of a dental clinic that loves the community as much as she does.

When she isnt working or volunteering, she spends her time in Bothell, WA with her husband and two fuzzy cats. At home, Dr. Beers loves to cook and host board game nights for her friends. A true Pacific Northwestern at heart she has recently gotten into backpacking and is looking for recommendations for good backpacking trails.

2017 Citizen of the Year, Washington State Dental Association The award is the highest honor bestowed on one of its own 4,500 members. It is given to the member who has performed outstanding service, which serves to help a community in need, reinforce the value of service to the dental community, and promote the image of dentistry.

I absolutely love being a patient at Mukilteo Dental Center. The staff is friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. All of the doctors are incredible kind and thorough and the equipment is state of the art. I recently had to have an implant put in and Dr. Scott and his team were amazing. They walked me through each step of the process and helped ease my fears. I highly recommend Mukilteo Dental Center for any and all dental needs and procedures.

My experience at MDC was AMAZING! I have been in and out of dental offices my whole life with lots of cavities and broke/infected teeth. I was self conscious about finally taking control of my dental heath and shy about how many issues I knew would need fixing, but Dr. Beers never made me feel shame for a moment! She just got to work figuring out what my personal goals were for my teeth and how we could get there. She wrote out a thoughtful plan that I can take with me wherever I go. Her assistant Alicia was especially lovely, too! Both doctor and assistant were so kind and made my comfort their highest priority. They were willing to explain every step, listened to my worries, and accommodated me completely. The facility is also one of the nicest I have visited - Netflix while I get my teeth cleaned?! Yes please! I've never felt more comfortable in a dental office before. Truly, a stellar team all around, and I am looking forward to my next visit (whaaaaat?!?! LOOKING FORWARD to the dentist? Yeah, they are THAT good!!)

Very good dentist, usually pretty quick their work seems sturdy and the seem always receptive to problems that arise quick. The offices are nice and updated and have tvs above the chairs and offer Netflix. Only reason for 4 stars is because their billing has some suspect policies. We are a family of 4 and two of us (the adults) go to MDC. My wife had alot of work done and we paid a good amount maybe $700 for her work- never received a statement. The next time I went in for work I was charged somewhere around a couple hundred and they informed me good news I had a credit of multiple hundred dollars on our account from my wife's work. I had them apply the credit and I owed nothing . I then asked the billing guy how much credit I still had and he replied $78 or so. I requested a refund and he said "uhh ok I'll request it" . We'll that was month ago and I called them today and they have still not issued it. I told him I'm unsure how holding onto that much (I realize $78 is not that much but originally we had a much larger credit) of my money is legal. His response was "well if there is a credit we just keep it on the account for future visits" . They never sent a statement saying we had a credit. Great dentists especially Dr Pham. but beware of the billing and check up on your balances. Request a statement. **Update: they called and apologized and remedied the situation involving the credit. Thank you MDC
