Dr. Manuel Manny Montealegre is originally from Miami, Florida and is fluent in Spanish and English. He received his undergraduate degree from Miami Dade College. In 2004 he graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU he was a member of the Faculty Practice honors program. In 2005 Dr. Manny relocated to Tennessee where he has been practicing dentistry since.
Dr. Manny is happily married to his wife, Beth, who is a physician with St. Thomas Hospital, together they have three sons. Outside of the office, Dr. Manny stays actively involved with his youngest two sons sports, golf and his church, St. Rose of Lima. His favorite sports teams are the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins.

Not happy at all. Been going to this office for about 5 yrs when the Couple owned it, then was sold to Dr Manny whom I liked very much. Not realizing that Dr Manny was no longer there I continued to go back, only to find out he's no longer practicing there. Of course patients aren't important enough to be informed of the change, therefore who ever owns the practice will find I have choices and they will no longer be mine.

I have been a patient of Montee since they came to Antioch. I have had good dental care at reasonable prices. Only once a problem arose and it was quickly rectified. When I went in last week the hygienists were diffusing essential oil that causes my asthma to flair up. I asked them to stop doing it and they very kindly granted my request. I will continue to recommend Montee Dental to my friends. UPDATE: September 19, 2022 - I must edit my review since Drs. Montee left a long time ago, then Dr. "Manny" from Murfreesboro came in with his team. The only crown he put on for me was today diagnosed as defective. Today when I went in I was shocked to see that Dr. "Manny" and all his crew had left and a whole new crew were there. I received notice about this. A young woman Dentist came in to check my cleaning who said she was a temporary hire from a "national dental firm." My teeth are too important to trust the "revolving door" of dentists that Dr. Laurain's family are placing in this office. I will be selecting a new dentist and can no longer recommend Mt. View Dental.

I have been coming here 17 years and I'm sad to say I won't be coming back unless I have to. Everyone is always nice and they have that to be proud of. Dr.Lorain was the best and it's never been even close to the sane since he left. I could write paragraphs of things that have happened to me while going here. Like getting numbed up with 6 shots and the dentist dropping everything and leaving me in the chair. Got my wisdom teeth pulled and never got the blood to clot right and puddles cane out of my mouth pot leaving the office. The dentist after Dr Lorain had his wife there too and she had numbed me up once to do an extraction and then told me she wasn't comfortable doing it and needed her husband to do it another time. Having my new crown break as soon as they put it in. Having a temp crown fall off at the office. Then it falling off again. The after being assured it wouldn't fall off it did again at home. Two days before vacation. Dentist had to come in on his off day to secure it back which I will always appreciate. Dr Manny was a great guy and always made me feel comfortable. Didn't do the best work but his table manner was top tier. All that being said let's just say I'm a loyal customer and have spent thousands and thousands of dollars here. The last straw for me was a tooth I paid them for twice to fix the second time I was told it wasn't under warranty and insurance wouldn't help me because they don't cover the sane tooth in 5 years or something like that. The first time was root canal's and crown. The second time was crown. Well I was eating a sandwich of all things and the crown broke off. I called them and it was a Friday and they were closed. Then called that Monday to hopefully get an appointment to be seen. They said there was nothing they could do and I would have to wait two weeks to be seen. I said so you guys are okay with me having a broke off tooth in my head for that long and I was told that's all they could do. I just find that extremely disappointing especially being the loyal patient I was and being that I paid them twice to fix. Called my dentist (a reputable dentist at that) and he was more concerned that Mt View was. Got me in next day to tell me that tooth could be saved and needed to be extracted and he did so. Next day he took care of me and they couldn't even squeeze me in. I work in the auto industry. We stay backed up for days at a time. If something happens and it's something we have done for then or dealt with before we take care of them ASAP. Obviously they didn't feel the sane way.

I have been going to Mt. View Family Dental (previously Montee Dental)for several years. Unfortunately, the practice has changed hands and staff several times. Although the hygienist was gentle, the dentist (who never even introduced herself) barely acknowledged me or my concerns. While I had issues with the previous owners/staff, they were always willing to work with me to find a solution or compromise. The current management will not even try.
