I attended Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, where I received my bachelor's degree in biology. Following my undergrad studies, I attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and proceeded to further my dental education with a General Practice Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Birmingham, AL.
During this residency, I acquired further education and experience in advanced oral surgery, implants, sedation dentistry, cosmetics and caring for patients with complex medical histories. After completing my residency, I began private practice in Birmingham, while also acting as an adjunct professor at the UAB College of Dentistry, where I remain a professor.
Dentistry is a passion for me, and I feel fortunate that I can contribute to the future of the profession and take care of the people in my own community. Being able to bring confidence back to patients, by fixing a smile, relieving pain or helping them chew more comfortably, are what I find most rewarding.
My wife Leah and I met in Big Sky, MT in 2012, while I was attending a dental conference. We married in 2016 and have recently welcomed our first child, Avyn. You'll likely find us out hiking with our two dogs and Avyn or checking out local restaurants and scenery in our free time. I also enjoy snowboarding, golfing, photography and Tennessee football - go Vols and Titans!
I was born in Rhode Island but moved here to Mt. Juliet at the age of two, and I played soccer for four years while attending college at Rhodes College. My familyrelocated from Birmingham to Mt. Juliet in the summer of 2019 and I am so excited to re-join this community at Mt. Juliet Family Dentistry!
Mary is a proud single mother of one daughter, whom she loves spending time with. Mary joined Mt. Juliet Family Dentistry in 2009 and is a Registered Dental Assistant with expanded functions in restorative dentistry.
