Dr. Alan McAndrews graduated from UAB in 1993. He later completed a 1 year residency at UAB and went into private practice, joining the MST Dental Team in 1994. He lives in Remlap, AL with his wife Jule and his 2 children, Maddie, 14, and Ryan, 12.
Dr. Sterling Shaw was raised in the Birmingham area and graduated from W.A. Berry high School. He receiveda B.S. degree from the University of Alabamaand graduatedUAB Dental School in 1979. He began his private practice in Center Point in 1980. He and Dr. Thomson joined their practices in 1983 and started the MST Dental Team. He lives in Liberty Park with his wife, Sharon.
Dr. Tracey V. Thomson is originally from Jackson, Mississippi and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1976. Dr. Thomson had a four year assignment in the United States Air Force. He began his private practice in Center Point in 1981 before joining together with Dr. Shaw in 1983 to create MST Dental. Hes also had a practice in Vestavia since 1999 where he now shares responsibility for the practice with his son, Dr. Colby Thomson. He lives in Liberty Park with his wife, Debby.

I have been a patient at MST Dental since I was 3 years old. I have never had a bad experience. Through braces, routine cleanings, and a few cavities here and there, they have been so professional and kind. Can't imagine going anywhere else. Love this place and highly recommend!

MST is a great Family dentistry practice with welcoming facilities, staff and dentists who know how to make you feel comfortable! My entire family has gone to MST, including our 4 year old daughter. They also handle orthodontics and root canals, so we only have one place to go for all our dental needs!

MST dentistry provided my daughter and I with a warm welcome as a new patient. The facility is very nice and the staff was great. After a lot of shopping around for my daughters orthodontic needs, Mr Shaw was able to provide us with great care in a timely manner and at the lowest price.
