Santos and Mroczek DDS has been proudly serving Staten Island since 2001 following in the tradition of excellence established by Dr. Ronald Leventhal who previously treated patients for 40 years at the same location. We have several generations of patients who keep returning after 55 years with their children and grandchildren.
She graduated first in her class from Curtis High School and received a B.S. in Biology from City College of New York as a Presidential Scholar.She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry.
She completed her general practice dental residency (PGY-I) and her second postgraduate (PGY-II) training at Staten Island University Hospital, where she was Urgent Care attending in the Dept. Of Dentistry, treating multi-specialty restorative cases and overseeing 16 first-year dental residents.
To satisfy her love for storytelling, Dr. Santos writes two popular weeklycolumns, 'Gracelyn 's Chronicles, Diary of a Working Mom' and 'People' for the Staten Island Advance and SILive.com. In addition she authors a biweekly Health column.
Active in the community, Dr. Santos serves on the Executive Board of the St. George Theatre and Meals on Wheels of Staten Island and is a former trustee of Staten Island Mental Health Society, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Gardens and the Staten Island Zoo.
She has co-chaired a variety of fundraisers, including the Snug Harbor's Neptune Ball and Mistletoe Ball; the Staten Island Zoological Society Ball; the American Girl Fashions Shows. In addition, she has chaired the St. George Theatre Fashion Shows and Golf and Tennis Outing
She has been honored for her community service by Snug Harbor Cultural Center; the Staten Island Zoo; Wagner College's DaVinci Society; Soroptomist International; Alice Austin Museum; the Frank J. Reali III Foundation; and the Maya Chang Foundation
Married To Dr. Michael Mroczek, she lives in Randall Manor and has three daughters: Charista, Tatiana and Angelica. She is a former Miss Staten Island and Miss Southestern New York for the Miss America Organization.Her daughter, Charista Mroczek, is the current Miss Staten Island Outstanding Teen 2016.
