For Dr. Milena, orthodontics is so much more than just straight teeth. Orthodontics is about creating beautiful, aesthetic smiles that empower YOU to be the best version of yourself. Dr. Milenas mission is to MPOWER YOU by MPOWERING YOUR SMILE.
It all started with a smile transformation of her own. As a teenager, Dr. Milena was an insecure, self-conscious kid who was suddenly empowered when a female orthodontist transformed her smile. From that moment on, Dr. Milena knew she wanted to help others feel the same joy and empowerment she felt.
Dr. Milena attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for dental school, her three-year orthodontic residency, and masters in oral sciences. She is a board-certified orthodontist dedicated to creating smile transformation and positively affecting and empowering patients.
Dr. Milena is passionate about learning, constant improvement, and always finding new ways to serve her patients better and provide the most aesthetic results. She constantly seeks ways and methods to provide the most aesthetic treatment outcome in the most efficient manner.
Dr. Milena moved to the United States as an exchange student in high school. She lived in Colorado, Arkansas, and Missouri prior to finding her new home in Illinois, where she lives with her husband Nemanja and two kids, Luka and Mila.
Outside of her passion for orthodontics, Dr. Milena loves to read and listen to podcasts, especially those related to growing as an individual and having healthy body and mind. She enjoys staying active by playing volleyball, tennis, and skiing. Her interest in cultural diversity encourages her love of travel. In her free time, youll most likely find Dr. Milena at the park with her kiddos.
In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists states that one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 21. Many adults are choosing to receive treatment because they understand the importance of maintaining their health, and they want to feel better about their appearance. We love everything about this place! Dr. Milena is currently treating our whole family and always knows us by first name, which feels good when you walk through the door Dr. Milena and her staff are friendly and professional, yet fun along with state of the art equipment and phenomenal results!

We are very happy to have found Dr. Milena Bulic. My son needed braces at age 9. I felt so concerned, but Dr. Bulic made everything run smoothly for him. The front desk staff are always so warm and helpful- I can't tell you how much that makes an impression on patients- they are the face of the practice. They are always so easy to talk to when calling to schedule appointments or in person. They are very kind and attentive to kids- just wonderful! Dr. Bulic herself is very kind and professional. She really knows what she is doing. I felt comfortable with the consultation process and she was able to answer my questions. There are a lot of nice little things that make it pleasant for the kids- little contests and things like that. Also, when my son got his braces off, Dr. Bulic gave him a bag of candy (types he hadn't been able to eat with braces) as a celebratory gift. It's obvious they understand kids! For my child and also others I have known, not being able to eat gummy worms was the worst part of having braces, lol. So I really thought this was a considerate and kind gesture and that she really "gets" kids. Of course, she reminded us to brush teeth after eating the candy ;) Overall, we could not have asked for a more seamless experience and I would highly recommend this practice to other parents. They treat parents and kids with respect.

Both of our kids are patients and we can't say enough good things. Best staff, friendly environment, excellent quality of work (no issues with the braces at ALL). The prices are also a little less than the competition so WHY would you go anywhere else in Park Ridge? I'm here because of other happy customers.

We're so happy with our experiences with Dr. Milena and her team! They are all super friendly and professional. Our appointments are right on time, billing is efficient and the office is clean and inviting. Our daughter just got her braces off and her teeth were straightened in a timely matter. Although I was told that the gap between my teeth would need surgery by another orthodontist, MPowered Smiles gave me hope for another alternative. The service provided is great and everyone speaks with a smile. Overall great experience, 100% recommend.

We can not say enough good things about MPowered Smiles or Dr. Milena and her staff. Her office is bright and clean. Her approach is warm and friendly and she customizes every plan based on the individual patient and their needs. We came to MPowered Smiles because our then third grade son was in need of ortho. Dr. Milena came up with a plan that included a twin block retainer, braces and two separate phases. We were worried that would be a lot for a third grader to handle, but her approach set him up for the best possible success. She patiently answered all of his questions and ours, and gently explained to our son what his plan would entail every step of the way. In doing so, she calmed everyone's nerves and really did make my son feel empowered in his journey. He's just four months into the first phase of his plan and already his smile looks so much better. We would recommend MPowered Smiles and Dr. Milena to anyone who is looking for personalized care and a worry free path to a better smile. They really are the best!

Dr. Milena Bulic is absolutely wonderful! She is thorough with her examinations. She is kind, caring, and sweet. She welcomes questions and answers all questions clearly and patiently. Dr. Bulic is very professional and always has a smile! The office staff are absolutely kind, welcoming and professional. The office also has a very welcoming setting! Dr Milena has done the best orthodontics for our daughter. Her teeth and overbite were corrected in no time and now has a beautiful smile! They are the most friendly and accommodating practice around. I would highly recommend Mpowered smiles!!

Love Dr. Milena and her staff. Everyone is friendly and professional. The procedures and payment plan was explained in a detailed manner. When my daughter first started phase one, (during the pandemic) they noticed how uncomfortable she was and offered me to sit, watch and hold her hand if needed in the exam room. I was able to watch them put the brackets on her teeth and was encouraged to ask any questions. This was such a nice gesture. When my son was recommended for braces we brought him to Dr. Milena also. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs orthodontic care!

I highly recommend MPowered. The doctor and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The facility is very clean and comfortable. My child just finished 6 months with the expander and will wear a retainer. When all his adult teeth come in we will use Dr. M again for braces.

We have had such an amazing experience at MPowered! We came here at the recommendation of our pediatric dentist and my daughter was feeling pretty anxious about the prospect of having to get braces. Her canine teeth were growing at an angle so we needed some kind of intervention. Dr. Milena was wonderful. Her staff was always so warm, welcoming, and patient with us. They were extremely thorough when explaining what treatment she needed, and all of the follow up appointments were super smooth and easy to schedule after school hours. The office itself is so inviting and peaceful. Love the decor too! So much positivity. It really warmed my hear to come here. We are coming back here for a consult on my next kiddo, and I would highly recommend this office to anyone whose kiddo needs braces. What a lovely place orthodontic practice!!!

I was searching for an orthodontist because my daughter accidentally broke her permanent retainer and needed to get it fixed. I'm so happy I found Mpowered Smiles because Dr. Milena and her staff were very understanding and thoroughly answered any questions we had. The staff made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed too. The office is very clean and welcoming and they even have raffles for children to participate in while in the waiting area. I was incredibly satisfied with the experience we had here.
