Dr. Thi Hoang graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2007 and continued her training at their Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Union City. She has practiced dentistry for nearly ten years now and is very passionate about being a dentist.

Dr. Hoang is passionate about her career and life, and it shows through to all her patients, family, friends, students, and especially her dental team. With her compassionate and outgoing personality, she treats all patients as if they are family. She believes good first impressions are essential in creating a long-lasting and trusting relationship. It is very important to her that patients are comfortable and satisfied in their visit, whether it is their first time in the dental chair or a veteran. Dr. Hoang thoroughly enjoys being a dentist. She loves coming to the office and working with the team that she has built over the past few years. But what she loves most is how many lives they have impacted. It is a fulfilling feeling for her to see the trust patients put in her and her team, and how their recommendations have led patients to achieve great oral health.

Dr. Hoang's continued passion for dentistry has also lead her to take on an exciting role as one of UOP's radiology faculty members since 2011 and is known to be a tough instructor. She teaches students proper techniques to take digital radiographs in order to minimize radiation and helps them interpret X-ray images, detect cavities, abnormalities, lesions, etc. She also hopes to inspire her students to become great dentists in the future.

Outside of dentistry, she is a loving mother of three beautiful and rambunctious children. As a family, they donate their time to various non-profit programs such as SF Food Bank, Project Open Hand, and more. On the side, she loves to attend music concerts and is always enthusiastic about trying new restaurants. Recently she has been spending her spare time at home in the crafts room making unique projects for family, friends, and the office.

Dr. Michael Nguyen is the youngest of four brothers who grew up in San Jose. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis and completed his dental degree at Midwestern University in Arizona.

Dr. Mike's passion for dentistry ignited on a dental expedition trip to Liberia, Costa Rica, where he provided free dental services, supplies, and knowledge in underprivileged and impoverished areas. Two health expeditions later, Dr. Mike found himself at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where he completed his masters in biomedical science and his doctorate in dental medicine. He loves dentistry because it afforded him the ability to empower and lift people up with his knowledge and clinical skills. He enjoys the teaching and teamwork aspects of dentistry, where he can help make his work environment and experience creative, collaborative, and fun. He finds joy in education, relationships, and community. He believes that is what dentistry is all about, and that's why he loves it.

In his spare time, Dr. Mike enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and camping in national parks. He is a huge Bay Area sports fan. He listens to podcasts and reads books by life performance coaches like Tony Robbins and Tim Ferris. He is known as Uncle Michael to two beautiful boys, Dat and Hunter, and one mischievous dog named Basil.

She is one of our spunky dental assistants who is always ready to tend to patient needs and bring a big smile to their face with her kindness. Theresas fun personality and positivity is an asset to our office; she makes the days go by faster and is always ready to lend a helping hand, even when not asked. Theresa admires the caring, family friendly environment at our dental office and is heavily inspired to become a dentist in the future.

In her spare time, Theresa enjoys binge watching Netflix shows and babysitting her four baby nieces. On the weekends, you can probably catch Theresa watching her favorite bands in concert or going to other music events.

Sharon received her Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. After working a few years as an administrator for a biotech company, she realized her heart was in patient care and decided to continue her dream of becoming a dental hygienist.

She completed her second bachelor's degree at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry's dental hygiene program. She is very passionate about providing her patients with optimum dental care in the most comfortable and friendly environment. She truly enjoys cleaning teeth and helping patients take care of their teeth and gums. She feels successful at what she does when patients leave with clean teeth, and no cavities or gum problems! If you have any questions about your oral health or how to best take care of your smile, ask her, she has plenty of information she would love to share with you!

Sharon grew up in Union City and currently resides in the Ardenwood area of Fremont. She has a lot of family in the area and has always considered the Bay Area her home. When Sharon isn't busy playing with her daughters, she enjoys doing arts and crafts, photography, recreational volleyball, cooking, and going to Disneyland!

Patient care is Janelle's number one priority and with her gentle touch, she ensures every patient in her care is comfortable. Being very thoughtful, she also provides great hospitality and is a great listener. Janelle is very sweet and detail oriented, which makes her a great fit for our office and to our patients.

Janelle grew up in Redwood City and currently travels from San Mateo to care for her patients here. When not in the office, her son keeps Janelle on her toes! In her free time, she enjoys crafts and photography. One of her goals in life is to learn as many languages as she can and travel the world with her family.

Kawe graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Chabot College. Kawe was actually born in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and moved to California when she was a child. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Kawe worked part time at Auntie Anne's Pretzels then began her journey in the dental field as a dental assistant.

She always saw herself working in the medical field and was torn about becoming a nurse because she wanted a field more focused and specialized. Kawe realized that she grew up in a family that did not take care of their teeth and she wanted to do better for them and herself. She wanted to take better care of her own oral health as well as educate her family on the importance of dental hygiene. That sole realization determined her career choice into becoming a dental hygienist to not only share her knowledge with her family, but also better her community. Kawe loves that being a dental hygienist can be challenging, but rewarding and fulfilling at the same time. She enjoys helping patients build their self -esteem by fixing their teeth and smiles. The most rewarding part is being able to put a patient's anxiety and fears about dentistry at ease.

In Kawes spare time she loves to spend time with her family. Some of her hobbies include hula dancing, bike riding, walking her dog, hiking around the bay, and going on adventures with her boyfriend. Kawe enjoys catching up on Netflix series and reading mystery, thriller, and suspense novels. An interesting fact about Kawe is that she is a lefty! Being left handed in dentistry is not only rare, but can be challenging to work with a team that is mainly right handed. In the future, Kawe would like to become a hygienist that is able to travel to different parts of the world and educate patients in need.

Lexi is our upbeat and friendly Insurance Coordinator. She is local to Union City where she grew up and currently lives. Lexi attended SF State where she studied Liberal Studies/Teacher Prep and also played softball.

She is an avid softball player and has played the majority of her life. Before working at Mowry Dental, Lexi lived in Chandler, AZ for three years and worked as a server. Lexis restaurant and serving skills make her a great asset to our office as it brings diversity to the dental team and provides excellent customer turned patient service.

Lexi chose the dental field because she loves to make our patients happy with opportunities of a new, confident smile. She also loves getting to know our patients and forming genuine relationships with them. Her favorite part of working at our office is seeing our patients enter and leave with a smile on their face. In the near future, Lexi plans to go back to school and obtain a degree in Dental Hygiene. Lexi is a hardworking mom and she hopes to continue to grow her family and buy a home to call her own.

When Lexi is not working, she loves to spend quality time with her daughter and create fun filled memories. Lexi has a beautiful and energetic daughter that looks just like her! Lexi and her daughter love to play outdoors to stay active, but also enjoy staying home to cuddle up and watch their favorite shows and movies. Lexi is super family oriented and has a tight knit relationship with them. Like the rest of our staff, Lexi loves to eat and try new things!

Jazzy grew up in Union City and currently resides in Hayward. Jazzy is very athletic and played competitively in softball, basketball, and soccer. She is currently finishing her studies in business and finance at CSU East Bay.

After working as a supervisor in San Francisco, Jazzy saw an opportunity arise to join our team. After doing much research, she became intrigued by what we do. She found it offers her a career with lots of different growth opportunities and provides a chance to help people improve their oral health care. After being with us for some time now, she enjoys working with the team and building rapport with our patients. Every day is different and gives her new challenges to grow, reach her goals, and become a better person in ways she never imagined. Being in the dental field can be tough, especially when it's something completely new to you. Jazzys competitive drive and spirit has helped her learn, grow, and thrive in her role.

On the weekends, Jazzy loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her adorable 6 year old daughter and french bulldog. She is passionate about living in the moment,being her true self, and cherishing the people she loves the most.

Amanda is our bubbly and friendly office manager. She is always ready to greet patients with a warm hello and sweet smile. Amanda is currently working toward her associate degree in business management to broaden her managerial skills.

She specializes in treatment planning as well as insurance coverage and benefits. If a patient has any questions or concerns, Amanda is always willing to help. Her favorite aspect of working at our dental office is being able to see patients leave with a big grin and sparkly teeth.

Born and raised in Union City, Amanda is very family oriented and is not afraid to try new things or be adventurous. She has many interests and hobbies. She was previously a nanny for several years and her passion to care for children attributes to her sense of warmth and kindness. On the weekends, Amanda loves to dance and explore new restaurants. She is up for trying any delicious food and takes any recommendations.

Joyce is our seasoned Registered Dental Assistant. She has been with Mowry Dental since our original office and helped grow the practice to what it is now. Joyce graduated from Carrington College and achieved her Associates in Dental Assisting.

She grew up in San Jose and currently lives in Fremont. Joyce loves making people smile which is not hard to do with her infectious laugh. Her amazing skills in patient care are a staple in our office. Joyce is known to put others first and it shows in how she treats our patients.

In Joyce's spare time she loves to go on food adventures, short drives and day trips. Family means everything to her and she enjoys working with children. When kids come in for their routine cleanings, Joyce turns into a big kid herself and does a great job keeping them entertained. Although Joyce doesnt have any children herself, she has a yorkie/corgi/pomeranian mix named Baxter that she loves dearly! Her and Baxter are adjoined to the hip and she takes him with her everywhere, especially on her favorite trips to the record store where she finds and collects all of her vinyls. Joyce enjoys performing arts and has a great taste in music. She played piano for 18 years as well as the stand-up bass and trombone. In the future, Joyce hopes to obtain her RDAEF and see where life takes her!

Kayla is one of our seasoned Registered Dental Assistants. She achieved her associates of science in dental assisting from the College of San Mateo. She is a Bay Area native, but recently bought a house in Lathrop with her husband and three babies.

Since she was a child, Kayla loved anything sweet to eat, which meant frequent visits to the dental office. Those visits stemmed her love for the dentist, hence the motivation for her to become a part of the dental world. She loves the dental field and hopes to become a dental hygienist in the near future. Prior to dentistry, Kayla was working in retail and that paved her way to excellent customer service.

Kayla is always eager to learn new techniques that she can implement into her patient care. It is important that a patient is comfortable and always at ease which makes her understanding and approachable for any questions or concerns. Kayla's bright smile and enthusiasm gives her the ability to create friendships with each patient in order for them to feel right at home. Her main goal is for every patient to be happy and confident with their smiles!

Kayla has two beautiful daughters and welcomed her first baby boy this year. Her children keep her life exciting and entertaining! She loves going to local concerts or festivals and adventures to new cities. When Kayla isnt busy with patients, you can catch her eating any sweets she can get her hands on in the breakroom.

Araceli is one of our amazing Dental Assistants. She has 10+ years of dental assisting experience and we are very fortunate for her to join our team. Araceli grew up in Redwood City and currently lives in Newark.

She is a great asset to our office and provides years of experience which better enhances our patient services, especially with the large amount we are able to now accommodate with our new office. Araceli began as a receptionist when she first entered the dental world. She believes that the dental field chose her with the opportunities that presented themselves. While working as a receptionist, she was offered a position to become a dental assistant and she seized the opportunity. Araceli loves that there is always something new to learn and she loves working with people and educating patients on how to maintain good dental hygiene. She is very passionate about helping others. In the future, Araceli hopes to obtain her Registered Dental Assistant license.

Araceli has 4 wonderful kids, a four-legged fury grandson named Benji, and welcomed her first granddaughter this year. In her free time, she likes to hang out with family and go shopping with her two oldest daughters. Araceli loves to cook as well and specializes in Mexican cuisine, but she loves to explore and try new flavors.

Alisha is one of our enthusiastic and friendly Registered Dental Assistants. She grew up in Reno, Nevada and moved to California a few years back. Alisha attended Trucker Meadows Community College and worked in medical accounts receivable before becoming a Dental Assistant.

She was always interested in working in the dental field, but did not realize the importance of oral health until recently. Alisha becomes more and more infatuated with the dental field everyday as she notices how much she actually helps patients become healthier and more aware of the importance of good oral hygiene. Alisha loves interacting with our patients and changing their perspective on dentistry as a whole.

In Alishas spare time, she tries to stay motivated in self-care. Alisha's goal is to become healthier and to make the best of herself by exercising and working out, but faces the challenges of her love for food of all kinds. She has an adventurous spirit and would like to one day explore the world and discover the person she is meant to be. In the future, Alisha hopes to become a RDAEF with abilities of allowing herself to be more independent chairside with patients. By working at both Livermore and Fremont offices, Alisha tries her hardest to help them grow to their truest potential.

Wes is the eldest of 7 children and currently resides in Lathrop with his family. He receieved his bachelor's degree in biology at CSU East Bay and is currently enrolled in a post baccalaureate program, with hopes to become a dentist.

Wes chose the dental field because when he was younger he was afraid to smile and laugh because he was insecure about his smile. Once he received braces in high school and finally got them taken off, he felt like a completely different person. He started to smile more and laugh often, which he loved! Wes new smile left him feeling more confident and positive than ever before. After going through that transformation he realized that there may be others who may feel insecure about their smile, so he began his journey into the dental field to help those people go through the same transformation that he went through. Wesley loves learning new things about teeth and specifically oral health. He is very intrigued with the creativity and critical thinking that goes into repairing a patients smile. Wesley says that the best part about working in the dental field is the one-on-one interactions he has with his patients and developing a bond and trust where they feel more than comfortable at the dental office.

In Wesleys spare time he likes to play basketball, read, interact with his younger siblings, and is currently learning to play the piano. He actually played basketball for CSU East Bay during his undergrad and enjoys playing to this day. Wes is passionate about providing opportunities and supporting those in need of assistance, as well as uplifting the youth so we can work together towards a better and brighter future as a community.

Crystal is our sweet and talented hygiene assistant. She originally joined our team working in the front office, but her quick learning, reliability, thrive to provide excellent patient care, and attention to detail has earned her the role to become our hygienist's right hand.

Crystal claims that she didnt choose the dental field, but the dental field chose her! And we could not be more ecstatic to have her as part of our team. Crystal grew up in Union City and currently lives in Hayward. Prior to working at Mowry Dental, Crystal was in high school and she came straight here after she graduated. She has taken the dental field by the wings and went full force. She became fascinated by teeth and ended up loving dentistry. Crystal is a great asset to our office and has the ability to wear many hats within. She loves the dental field because it is very hands on and complex. She never realized how intricate a tooth is and that there are so many possibilities for treatment.

In Crystals spare time she loves to binge watch different Netflix series. She also loves to sing and make covers to her favorite songs. Crystal is super passionate about singing and performing arts in general. Aside from singing, she also acts and has performed in many theatre shows in high school. Crystal is a huge musical theatre nerd and has watched many musicals. She also was in three musical productions. On the weekends, Crystal enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, but also takes advantage of moments alone to be a couch potato. In the future, she hopes to finish school and adopt a pet.
