I went here years ago to have a tooth pulled and paid out of pocket. When I needed work done this year I thought of them and was told they don't accept my dental insurance. I said that's fine I'll pay out of pocket again. When I got there they said the appointment was set by mistake and because I never paid an outstanding balance I couldn't be seen. They wouldn't even pull the tooth until it was paid in full when I was there the first time. I believe they will think of any excuse to not see people who they believe "can't " pay. I have all the cash saved up so someone else can gladly have my money. Don't make people take off time from work when you can easily tell them over the phone they aren't good enough for your rude degrading establishment. Dodged a bullet not being seen by them.

I had to have all my teeth removed. Two separate surgeries. I cannot express how kind every staff member was at every visit and call. I was extremely nervous. They made sure i was comfortable at every step. The Dr was so beyond kind, caring and compassionate during both operations. I felt slight pain during on he immediately stopped re numbed the area and made sure I was ok. I could not have asked for better care for such a tough procedure

Was referred to this office by my regular dentist, was having some wisdom teeth pain and possibly needed extractions around it. Tried to call and set up an appointment, and the person I spoke with was so snarky and rude. Very condescending. So I basically hung up and called my dentist back for another referral. If they act like that over the phone, I can't imagine they would be more pleasant in person

I highly recommend visiting Mountainview! The staff were all very kind, and courteous. The Surgeon was very professional, and quickly completed my extractions. I hardly felt a thing. After I pick up my dentures, I am making it a point to go back to show them what they helped me to accomplish. I was so nervous when I first walked through the doors, but that quickly changed after meeting the staff. Dr. Magid has helped change my life forever. I went back and read a lot of reviews for this place, and noticed people saying that their service was unprofessional, rude, or misleading. I couldn't disagree more. They treated me with the upmost respect, even considering on the day of my 2nd surgery, I was running ten minutes late, and there were absolutely no issues. In fact they were super friendly to me and my boyfriend. Considering I am on suboxone, and my teeth were horrible, I am used to people looking down on me, but they treated me with genuine concern and respect. I will never forget it. I don't think you would regret choosing Mountainview Oral Surgery for your dental needs, bc they literally changed my life. Good luck!

This is a wonderful place to go if you need to get a tooth extracted they were nice, professional, offered advice, listened when I talked and made sure that I was comfortable. Between me coming in for the consult, getting a call back to schedule a day and actually going to get the extraction there wasn't not 1 thing that that make me feel uncomfortable and rather go somewhere else. I would most definitely recommend coming to this place especially if you have dealt with dentists that are rude and don't care. The assistant even walked me to my car to make sure I didn't hurt myself on the way to the car. They advised me to have someone drop me off and wait for me to be finished. Definitely the best dentist office that I've ever been to. ( BTW, I hate going to the dentist, hence having to get a tooth extracted)

Entire staff very professional, kind. Went above and beyond to fit me in the schedule to address my pain. Extremely thorough and efficient. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else.

Needed to have my wisdom teeth removed and every place in town had a 2 month waiting list for a consultation. When I called Mountain View and explained why I was hoping to have the surgery done as soon as possible, Diane was able to work me in the next day, just to help. I didn't have that feel when calling the other offices. All of Dr. Magid's staff provided excellent customer service and were a pleasure to be around. Dr. Magid was a true professional throughout the entire process. I highly recommend using Mountainview Oral Surgery & Implant Center.

The rudest individuals I have ever dealt with, I have no idea how these people have been in business so long. Who hired these receptionists? I was referred by my dentist but I told them they need to stop referrals here. Absolutely toxic staff members who have zero people skills.

I have never went to a dental office and been treated with such respect and patience. I was nervous during the consultation and the doctor immediately made felt like I knew him forever and reassured me the procedure would be a breeze. The staff told me what was expected and the removal of my wisdom teeth today went perfect. I felt nothing and I feel normal. I highly recommend them because I never met an office staff and doctor who genuinely cares and makes you feel like you are a person and not just a patient. Thank you all. Amazing place!

If you can go anywhere else to get oral surgery or work done, I would highly advise that you do so. Even if it means driving out to Roanoke, Danville or even Charlottesville. Why? Because this place is so unprofessional that I couldn't quite believe I was being treated the way I was being treated. My local dentist, Dr. Claiborne, was going to be out of town for a few weeks and I came up with a terrible tooth abscess due to a tooth break. I am in the midst of preparing for full replacements with Claiborne's office, but needed to get these two bad teeth taken out in the meantime, since they were causing an infection. Dr. Claiborne's office gave me several referrals and one was to Mountainview. I called them, and they were the office that had the closest appointment date. So I booked the consultation appointment, and thought nothing further. I had used Mountainview many, many years ago (around 2012 or 2013), but I didn't realize I had a remaining balance on my account, and nothing was said to me when I called and made the appointment. The office even called me the day before my appointment (which was today) and confirmed my appointment time, and the items I should bring. I filled out their patient registration forms online so it would be more convenient for them, brought my referral from Dr. Claiborne, along with my insurance card, etc. When I walked into the office for my appointment, I was immediately greeted by an incredibly unfriendly associate who informed me (only after taking my information in a very annoyed manner) that I could not be seen. I asked why, and she informed me that I had a balance on my account. I apologized for missing this and immediately took out my bank card to pay whatever the balance was. I was immediately told that they would not accept my money, that they "don't do that here", and that they would not see me as a patient due to the balance being owed, and that I would need to leave. To say that I was furious and humiliated is an understatement. I called Dr. Claiborne's office to inform them of what happened, and their office manager was just as outraged. Thankfully my dentist's office was able to find an oral surgeon in Danville who can see me in a few days, so I don't have to sit in pain much longer. As someone who works with high level professionals everyday, and as someone who owns a small business of their own, I am appalled at the entire incident. Not only did they refuse to take my money for a bill I apparently owe, I was treated less than and looked down upon after they AGREED to see me and confirming my account with them (and they had noted via phone that they had seen me in the past). I wasted an entire day from work dealing with this, and I have never been in any other medical facility that was so incredibly self-righteous, unprofessional, unethical, and completely negligent when it comes to patient care. I cannot stress enough that I would recommend any other place than this. If this is how they treat individuals who they agreed to see, who need urgent surgery and was referred to them by a local colleague, I can't imagine that your dental issues will be treated with much forethought or care either. I could not be more disgusted by their staff's behavior and the surgeon who obviously approves this (as I see in the reviews, this has happened to others before me).

Would give 0 stars if I could. My significant other goes in to have a consultation and because she owed a balance from years ago, they refused to see her even after calling her the day before to confirm the appointment, and she offered to pay what she owed. How can you be so heartless to turn people away who need help. Disgusting business, and rude people working there.

Dr Magid treated me for a oral cancer. He was professional and obviously highly skilled as he was able to remove my tumor with no lasting effects. It has been over 2 years now without any sign of a recurrence. I will forever be his fan.

Sadly I won't get to be seen in this office and need my wisdom teeth removed and all because of an incident that happened when I was a child and I wasn't able to make my appointment and it was never able to be rescheduled because of events that are of no concern to these scums they won't allow me to be seen in there business. Might be a good thing considering there poor attitude over something I had no control of back in 2013 and here it is almost 10 years later and me being a full grown person they wanna be petty and not allow me to be seen. So I'll bite the bullet and go out of town to have the work done with a clinic that was more than friendly with me when I called to them and explained everything. In my personal opinion I wouldn't recommend these clowns at all since they wanna live in the past for something that happened before a person was even of age to call and make or change his or her own appointments oh well reckon I dodged a bullet because who knows what kinda shape my teeth would be in if they did the work being this petty they might have pulled all of em out for a laugh. I only spoke to one person and she stated she was the nurse manager or whatever her clown title read and because of her attitude towards the situation I can only imagine the rest of the clinic is the exact same thus the reason for my opinion to the matter at this point.

With tears in my eyes i called Mountainview oral surgery and I received a confusing and bias answer by the dentist why they couldn't replace my upper arch with implants. I was asked by the receptionist do I have dental insurance, I replied no. Next question do I have medical insurance i said yes medicaid and Medicare already knowing they don't cover implants. She reminded me of that we don't participate with them i said I knew that. I told her this would be an all cash transaction. She said hold on came back and replied I'm sorry the dentist said he can't provide these services to you because of your insurance. I said ma'am I don't want to use insurance im paying with cash. She said well we just don't participate with your insurance i reminded her I don't need insurance i have the money to pay in full. She said again we don't participate in Medicare or medicaid. What just because I have medicaid Medicare im poor? I received a settlement that was i was awarded because of a metal on metal hip surgery that had to be taken out and revised on BOTH hips. So, sir and ma'am your prejudice thinking has lost you a client. I'm truly hurt. Meanwhile Central Virginia Oral Surgery has gladly set up a consultation to see me

Made an appointment 6 months ago with a referral, drove an hour and was turned away because I didn't have the completely outdated x-rays and a paper copy of referral, at no point in the 6 months was I told that those things were needed, I had talked to them multiple times checking on a possibly sooner appointment, I've been on antibiotics for over a year, I've been on pain much longer, unexceptable way to run any bussiness

Well honestly, the job of a surgery was completed but I found the receptionist to be less than adequate. Person was appearing to be annoyed by the work they had to do. So while the service was provided, the customer service aspect was lacking from the front of the office. Probably will look elsewhere for dental surgery as how your treated makes a big impact on your willingness to come back.

Not handicap accessible. Knew 6 months ago that my wife was in a wheelchair and non-transferrable. Made the 50 minute trip just to be turned away because of their incompetence. I'll be certain to make lots of "no show" appointments so I can waste their time as they did mine.

Receptionist Dianne was really unprofessional. I arrived on time for my appointment. I had to leave to get some paper. Came back still on time for my appointment. She acted as though I couldn't have and appointment because I had left. Then she preceded to state that she felt anyone who kneels for the flag should not be in this country. I understand everyone has there own opinion about a lot of matters. But to talk like that was very unprofessional... made me very uncomfortable. Dr. Magid was very professional.
