My name is Dr. Dan McConkie and I am the dentist here at Mountain Vista Dental Care. I graduated in 2007 from Marquette Dental Schooland was blessed with the opportunity to return home to Utah where my wife and I were both born and raised. After graduation, I beganworking with a dentist and family friend, and his partners, in West Valley where I realized just how much I had left to learn! Working withthose world-class doctors helped me not only make the transition from the controlled environment of a dental school to the real worldchallenges that dentistry can provide but also realize that average dentistry just isnt good enough. It has given me the goal of producingdentistry that makes other dentists say Wow. I want him to be my dentist.
When I wasnt working with and learning from those amazing practitioners, I was given the opportunity to work for the Utah DevelopmentalCenter providing dentistry for individuals with mental or physical handicaps (or both). Everything that I learned there, about both dentistryand the goodness of God, still affects me daily.
After a year and a half with my mentors, it came time for me to stretch my little wings and get my own practice. My wife and I foundMountain Vista Dental Care and immediately fell in love with the practice and the area. We feel very fortunate to be where we are and I amso grateful to have the chance to get to know all of you.
They say dentistry is a tough profession (I bet you could argue it is tougher on the patients, right?) but I truly love it. I enjoy laughing everyday with the rest of my team as well as each person that comes through our door. Im lucky to be in a place where we get to know and helpincredible people!
I am the proud dad of four beautiful daughters and one awesome son. My wife Brittany and I are truly blessed with our not-so-little family.Most of our days with the kids consist of school, homework, piano, dance, soccer, tears and drama, healthy and unhealthy sibling rivalries,band-aids, laughing and hugs, teaching moments (for both the kids and for us), and exhaustion. Life is oh-so-good.
I love the outdoors. I really enjoy shooting sports, riding my bike, hiking, camping, going to football games with my football-loving wife,and watching the kids in their activities. I also love my job. I enjoy and appreciate our team here at Mountain Vista Dental Care and Iappreciate the trust each of our patients places in us. Thank you for letting us serve you.

I am always so impressed by how professional and competent Dr McConkie and the staff at Mountain Vista are. I have had many dentists in the past and never realized what I was missing. Thank you for taking care of our whole family!

Been going to Dan for years best dentist ever. From hygienists to receptionists the staff is the greatest. They Make teeth in house for accidents. They get you in and get you out with a better smile. Get a text reminder for any and all appointment. The only way you can go wrong is if you went to another dentist

My hygienist takes the time to explain the different aspects of my oral hygiene. I appreciate having those conversations. The staff is always friendly. Would recommend.

I am a new patient here. I moved into the area about 2 years ago and it took me that long to find a dentist. I am pretty picky. This office is clean friendly and efficient. Me and my family will be coming here for years to come I am sure.

I have been coming to this clinic for over a year now. The service is always professional and kind. This clinic is very well managed evidenced by happy employees who take fantastic care of their patients. Everyone has always been very kind, professional, and competent. To the schedulers in the front desk, the hygienists (thank you Liz!), my awesome and fun dentist Dr. McConkie and the specialist Dr. Clark a big thank you !! Oh I am sorry I have been late to some of my visits... It won't happen again ;)

I came in to get a tooth fixed, and I thought I would have to stay for at least an hour or more. Nope. It was an easy fix and I was on my way. I love how Mountain Vista Dental Care makes you feel welcomed and how friendly their staff is, and how concerned they are for your well-being. They also take the time to remember you, and know your name, cause you're not a number to them. Definitely seeing them again for cleaning and any other tooth problems.
