Mountain View Dentist Dr. Geeta Pirouznia graduated from the University of Utah in 1987 and the prestigious University of Pacific in San Francisco in 1990. Since then, I have been practicing in the Bay Area, treating thousands of patients ranging in age from early childhood to their late 90s. UPDATE five years later: still amazing, I had a crown fall out this morning but within 90 minutes of me calling them I was heading out with a fixed tooth! These folks really care about their patients. I've been coming here two years and everyone here, from Vicky (the superhero of helping me understand my insurance and making last minute appointments magically just work) to Kayla (the hygienist who made me like flossing!) to Dr. Pirouznia herself (fixed me up after I broke a tooth falling off my bike... twice (different teeth :) )), is professional, super friendly, and just really really good at their job. Cleanings, x-rays, and even a root canal have been quick and painless. They were even unjudgmental when first I came in and hadn't flossed in months :) My teeth are happy and so am I.

An office likes this makes you excited to go to your dental appointments! I've always had a great experience at Mountain View Smiles. The entire staff is friendly and does a great job of making me feel comfortable. Even when I don't have cavities or infections, the hygienist and Dr. Pirouznia take the time to talk to me about other things they have noticed such as plaque in certain areas and give me tips to prevent it. If you're nervous to see a dentist during this pandemic, I can assure you this office is handling it very well with careful precautions in place. I felt very safe in great hands.

I had work done by Dr Peruznia many years ago and I was hesitant to write this review because her dental work seemed satisfactory with the exception of sizing and placing crowns. I had multiple teeth worked on which I gladly paid her thousands of dollars for. It wasn't until about a week and a half after One of the crowns was placed that I had to make an emergency dental visit while on vacation in Colorado. It seems that the crown was not properly sized, shaped, and placed. The crown was causing Pain, aching and bleeding in my gum. The dentist, that I had to see on vacation, told me that the crown would have to be replaced and that it was already starting to chip. when I returned, I told the Dr. Office that I would be happy to pay for all the work that she did which was thousands of dollars but I would not pay the $850+ dollars for an insufficient crown that would need to be removed. I proceeded to pay thousands of dollars to the Dr. and never heard anything back from the office. And decided, due to the shoddy crown work, that I would not return to her office For further dental work. Fast forward about a year and a half later and I'm getting calls from collections companies for the $850 crown. No word from Dr Peruznia's office, no notice, no nothing, since I had explained the issue with the crown and paid the balance of my multi thousand dollar bill, minus the cost of the crown. So I contact the doctors office and there is a case of selective amnesia. Nobody remembers anything. So I forward the doc x-rays and explain the issue again and she refuses to take care of the issue with her collection company. In her email response she cites the length of time since placing The crown but also that i didn't continue services with her? This I thought was odd to mention. Then It dawned on me that it seems that the expectation was she was going to waive the cost of the crown if I continued to use her services. This of course was never discussed when I advised them that I would pay my bill, minus the cost of the crown. Btw, there was no mention by her of the poor crown in her email, not one, no response to the X-ray showing it's poor covering, and no response to the enamel issue, just that it had been too long since placement and that I didn't continue services with her. In conclusion, we all live in a world where things don't go right all the time. But it's always been a goal of mine that in the rare instance that my work or the work of a sub contractor is not up to par or is called into question that I communicate clearly with my customer and if, like In this case, there is strong evidence and proof that something was done wrong or incorrectly that I work with that individual to correct the problem, including eating the cost of poor or insufficient work. This office did neither. And as I mentioned above I paid thousands of dollars for all of the other work that was done since it was decent. but as a medical professional Dr Peruznia is not only responsible for her work, but as an expert, she is also responsible for the quality and fitment of the products that she contracts out and placed in my mouth. I had dental work and crowns done for years by my family dentist before he retired and never had an issue and they are still in my mouth decades later and looking and feeling wonderful. this was the first and last time I had work done by Dr Peruznia. Her high cost of service was not reflected in the Poor quality of product she put in my mouth. And the unwillingness to even comment on the X-rays of her work and going against what we discussed and charging me Only when she realized I would no longer be a returning customer is in poor form in my opinion.

My family and I have been Dr. Pirouznia's patients for the past 18 years. I must say, we have been lucky to have her as our dentist. Dr. Pirouznia has taken great care of my family including my daughter since she was 3 (now 21). We absolutely trust Dr. Pirouznia's work and advice on what needs to be done. I have never had any issues with making/changing appointments and have been seen in time when showed up for my appointments. Wonderful and welcoming staff at the office makes my visit a pleasure and they always take care of any issues with insurance. We thank Dr. Pirouzina and her team for a wonderful job they have been doing and highly recommend Dr. Pirouzina to anyone Ali Vahedi and the family
