It is a joy to meet children, be part of their lives as they grow into young adults, and share in their experiences, challenges, and triumphs. I am happy to help children achieve optimal oral health, feel secure and at home in the dental environment, and develop lifetimes of healthy habits. Watching a little one grow up with a bright, happy, confidence-filled smile is truly an amazing experience. I am fortunate to experience this every day.

As a Pediatric Dentist, I am dedicated to treating every patient as I would my own child: kindly and patiently, with respect for who they are and what they need. Each deserves dental care that is designed around their specific clinical situation and personality, to ensure positive experiences and outcomes.

Dr. Maria has practiced pediatric dentistry for over 25 years. She has extensive experience in the specialized techniques required to ensure young patients, and those with special needs, develop a healthy and stable oral cavity. Her training has equipped her to provide a safe and reassuring dental experience, regardless of the childs age, emotional needs, and clinical situation.

Dr. Maria is a dedicated member of the craniofacial team at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital. In this position, she provides comprehensive in-hospital dental treatment for children with cranio-facial anomalies and those with special medical needs. She has also served as a volunteer dentist internationally, providing care in Russia and China.

The couple has two daughters: Dr. Sarita Wang is the other pediatric dentist in the practice, and Dr. Katrina Jhun is a physician. They also have three young grandchildren, Emma, Sophia, and Andrew, and Oreo, a Shih-tzu puppy who is the office mascot.

Away from work, Dr. Maria enjoys traveling with her family and the ever-loyal company of Oreo. She finds delight in golfing, baking, doing crafts, and reading. She finds inspiration in many of her favorite books, especially the Bible, Elizabeth Gilberts Eat Pray Love, Pasternaks Dr. Zhivago, and Gladwells Outliers.

The best part of my day is seeing the children in my practice. It is fun to get to know their personalities and exciting to see them grow up. I enjoy watching each mature through school age years and develop into confident young adults. I am grateful and take pride in knowing I had a small part in helping to shape the person each becomes.

As a Pediatric Dentist, I feel that education is key. Part of my task includes helping to shapea child's understanding of their oral health as it relates to other aspects of their wellbeing. This is especially important in the medically compromised and special needs subset of patients in my practice. Because of my hospital-based training, I am passionate about treating and caring for these individuals who otherwise have difficulty finding appropriate dental care.

Dr. Wang has practiced dentistry for ten years. Her parents are dentists, so working in her practice feels like being at home to her. While she explored different potential career paths in college, she continually gravitated toward medicine and dentistry. That interest in healthcare, along with her desire to work with her hands and possessing an artistic eye, made pediatric dentistry a natural fit.

Through ongoing research, dental methodologies and technologies are continually changing and improving. Participation in continuing education is a key component of Dr. Wangs commitment to her profession and her patients.

She actively pursues opportunities that keep her current on the latest advancements. She also appreciates that these venues allow her to network with and learn from other oral healthcare professionals, creating a more cohesive family of dentists to serve the community.

Dr. Wang volunteers for the Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital. She is grateful to be part of the healthcare community and using her skills to help these patients. She understands these individuals often have complex medical and dental histories, which can make it difficult for them to access appropriate care.

Dr. Wang resides in Los Altos with her husband, Dr. Derick Wang, the practice orthodontist, and their young son, Andrew. Her mother, Dr. Maria Fu, is the other pediatric dentist in the practice, and Dr. Leonard Fu, the general dentist who sees adults, is her father. The family is rounded out with Oreo, a shi tzu, who is the office mascot.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Wang is often to be found at the playground or library with her son. She also enjoys getting together with her sister and nieces and nephews for fun activities, such as crafts, baking, or riding their scooters around the Stanford campus.

I am extremely grateful to be involved many peoples lives. Being an orthodontist means being able to improve the health, self-esteem, and quality of life for each patient. This ability to make a lasting, positive change for an individual is immeasurably gratifying.

Everyone deserves a smile that is functional, healthy, and beautiful a smile that strengthens their self-image and the confidence with which they greet the world. As an orthodontist, I am able to create those smiles, one person at a time.

Dr. Derick has practiced orthodontics for ten years. Combining advanced orthodontic techniques with a fully individualized treatment plan, he ensures every patient achieves a healthy, aesthetically pleasing smile in a comfortable and efficient manner.

The rate of innovation in orthodontics is ever increasing, requiring the practitioner to constantly learn in order to stay abreast of the latest developments. Through online study groups, meetings, lectures, and courses, Dr. Derick is able to provide patients with the most current, evidenced-based treatment for the ideal outcome. He has also completed a rigorous mini-residency in dental sleep medicine through the University of California at San Francisco.

Dr. Derick volunteers to help treat patients from the Sanford Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic. He appreciates the opportunity to work alongside his skilled colleagues as they collaboratively care for and improve the health of this client population.

Much of Dr. Dericks free time is spent with family. He enjoys playing with Andrew, relaxing at the beach or enjoying snow in the mountains, and traveling. He also likes cooking projects, along with working on and driving cars.

Our team has more than 20 years of pediatric dental experience. Each of them is loyal, dedicated, skilled, and kind, always focused on the unique needs of the child and their parents. They are committed to making every patients experience clear, comprehensive, streamlined, and fun, while engaging with families in a friendly and understanding manner.

I enjoy our patients and parents so much I cant imagine working anywhere else! I love getting to know our families, personally, and watching their kids grow up. Ive been with Mountain View Pediatric Dentistry for almost 20 years and have met many wonderful people, building long-lasting friendships with them!

I oversee our daily operations, always focusing on ensuring pleasant, efficient, and fun visits for families. I also manage the scheduling for all doctors and coordinate treatment, especially for our hospital-based cases. I love working with these doctors and this team: communication is easy, teamwork is key, and we love showing the kids out upbeat, fun-loving vibe!

Outside of work, much of my free time is spent with my family: husband Cesar and two daughters, Nathaly and Mackenzie. We enjoy traveling to Mexico to visit family and go to the beach as often as we can.

My son's situation was a bit particular. Dr. Wang was the 4th dentist We saw, and the only one that really made any sense. She treated us like friends/family and not just another paycheck. Throughout the process she kept me informed and kept me at ease. We had a great aura. Everyone in the office was extremely pleasant to speak with and I have switched all 3 of my children from our old pediatric office to her office. The only thing that was a little frustrating was that they did have quite a few things incorrect on their computer system. Spelling of name and email address. Luckily they followed up with a phone call, or we wouldn't of had the doctors paperwork completed on time for the procedures. I'm lucky to have found this office.

If you are thinking of using Dr. Sarita Wang for a Frenectomy, tongue tie release, I would recommend finding another Dr. Besides her office being incompetent she is out of her league with the procedure. After seeing another dentist we learned how much she preforms the procedure is incorrectly and could leave your child needing follow up corrective procedures. We brought our 5 week old to have a tongue tie corrected. Both of us were in pain as he was not latching properly and swallowing too much air. We saw the Dr. on Mon, she saw the tongue tie and said to schedule the procedure for Wed. That afternoon I received a call from Janet, the office admin, wanting his medical records from his pediatrician. I explained we did a home birth and his primary care was our midwife. We have seen a pediatrician but she spent less than 5 minutes with him and never looked at his tongue. I asked what they wanted and was told his immunization records to show he has his Vitamin K shot. She reached out to our midwife, when our midwife called back she left a voicemail saying that she recommended his tongue tie procedure, confirmed he has his vitamin K shot, and to fax her if they need any other information or documentation. They never faxed her so she assumed they didn't need her further. I called Tues to make sure everything was a go. Janet told me she received the voicemail confirming the vitamin k and we were all set. I get a call on Wed at 10 am from Janet saying the voicemail wasn't enough they need his physical medical records. I brought them with me to our 11am appointment. At 11:30 they take us back to the room where the dental asst is getting the laser ready. At 11:37 the doctor walks in to say she doesn't have a referral from the midwife and won't preform the procedure. At no point did anyone mention a referral, I was told we were all set, and nobody reached out to my midwife for referral info or faxed her. They dropped the ball and took zero accountability. The Dr. proceeded to tell me that if it was medically necessary and I had an infection she would preform it. I am a new mom with a newborn who is screaming in pain with gas which is affecting both of our sleep. My nipples hurt constantly. I want to breast feed for 12+ months but won't be able to with his tongue tie. I said this to the Dr. but she didn't care. I had the midwife on the phone while she was driving but they wouldn't take a verbal referral they needed it formally in writing. She wouldn't be able to produce that until the afternoon. All Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. Dr. Sarita Wang chose to leave a newborn in pain instead of preforming a minimally invasive procedure. Women and mothers need to be heard in medical settings, not dismissed. We left with me in tears. My husband talked to the doctor and she said when they get the written request from the midwife they will call us and we can come in. We received a call from the Dr. at 4pm saying "we don't have a good aura" and need to find another dentist. She and her office are completely incompetent. Instead of owning their mistakes and fixing them she deflects as if we are in the wrong. Textbook gaslighting. I informed the Dr. that our insurance should not be billed. She said to take that up with the accountant and hung up. My midwife recommended a different dentist who never requested a referral. The other dentist was amazing. He diagnosed a lip tie Dr. Wang said he did not have. Dr. Wang was going to have me hold my baby down when she preformed the procedure the new Dr took him out of the room and brought him back to me for comfort and relief. Dr. Wang said we didn't need to do exercises to ensure it doesn't fuse back together. She said babies are oral enough to not need it. The new Dr. said we have to do them or the procedure would be pointless. There is a difference in a Dr. who has preformed the Frenectomy hundreds of times and one who hasn't. I believe Dr. Wang was not confident in her ability to preform the procedure and tried to blame it on "our aura."

Dr Sarita and her staff, especially Janet We're amazing with my three kids! My autistic 7 year old was guided gently through so much fear of dental work, and now gets through it like a pro! They are compassionate, professional and comforting. Best dentist ever!

My son is afraid of any doctor like person in this world. As soon as those blue or white coat people even come near him he starts making a scene. Hence taking him to a dentist should have been a humongous challenge for me ( at least I thought so). I couldn't sleep the night before the appt thinking we would be kicked out of the clinic in no time. But to my surprise, as soon as we entered Dr Wang's office, my son's reaction was exactly opposite. There were so many toys and the environment was not at all like a Dr office. Also, when the time came for his appt, Dr Sarita and her assistant made it so easy for him. He didnt cry at all. He was so happy, that he said i like this Dr and we should come again. After hearing this from his mouth, i felt so good and relieved. I would highly recommend this Dr and the facility.
