Dr. Torgeson brings an impressive 30 years of experience to our practice, and hes thrilled to use his decades of knowledge to serve Springfield families and provide truly life-changing dental care. Nothing makes him happier than helping people by getting them out of pain and improving their appearance, and hes eager to support our fantastic community. Dr. Torgesons father was a dentist, and he always loved watching him take care of his patients. He especially liked seeing his dad craft gold crowns during his lunch hour! While still in school, Dr. Torgeson found that his interests and abilities were in science, and he wanted to use his innate skills to help people. So, dentistry seemed like the perfect fit, and he couldnt be happier with his chosen path all these years later.
After attending Glendale Community College and Brigham Young University, Dr. Torgeson obtained his dental degree from the University of Southern California. There, he graduated as part of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, a distinction reserved only for the top 10% of dental students. Over the years, he has consistently grown and refined his skillset, taking several advanced training courses focused on orthodontics, restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, and wisdom tooth extraction. The Academy of Operative Dentistry even recognized him for his efforts by awarding him with the Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry.
Originally from California, Dr. Torgeson is happily married to Diana, and they have three boys who all became computer programmers and currently reside in Southern California. On the weekends, Dr. Torgeson likes to spend most of his free time outdoors, hiking and taking beautiful pictures of the vistas he encounters.
We rely on Jen to keep our staff and patients organized day to day, and thanks to her 19 years of dental experience, shes very good at her job! She enjoys getting to know all of our patients as well as working with a team that is truly committed to providing excellent care. She is a proud Springfield native, and every day, she goes home to a wonderful husband, two amazing step-daughters, and an adorable Champagne lab. She and her family love to enjoy the outdoors, so youll frequently find them hiking, camping, and floating the river whenever they can.
Anne comes to us all the way from Northern New York, and she recently celebrated her 10th year in dentistry. After completing her training at Lane Community College, she obtained her nitrous oxide sedation as well as her anesthetic and restorative functions permits. For her, the best thing about her job is getting to meet new people every day and help them be healthy! Her greatest loves are her daughter and son, Gracie and Dominic, and they like to spend most of their weekends outdoors soaking up all the wonderful nature that Oregon has to offer.
Emily has worked in the dental field for 15 years. She considers herself to be a people person and natural helper, so dentistry sounded like the perfect fit when it was time to decide on a career path. She completed her dental training at Lane Community College and also has certifications in nitrous oxide sedation as well as local anesthesia. Away from the office, Emily enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews in both Oregon and California, and shes always eager to do something outdoors. Shes also the announcer for local roller derby matches!
Amber has been a part of the dental field for 20 years, and she considers our staff as well as our patients to be part of her extended family. She graduated from Lane Community College and obtained her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, radiology, and dental sealant certifications shortly thereafter. Life at home is very busy for Amber thanks to her teenage daughter, 3 cats, and 3 dogs. She recently bought a motorhome, so she spends most of her free time getting out into nature and enjoying the lovely Oregon sunshine.
Suzie joined our practice in 2020, and she brings an impressive 34 years of experience to our team. Shes thrilled to work alongside a skillful staff that she can rely on to deliver friendly, professional service to each of our patients. Suzie attended Lane Community College and has her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification. She also has 3 years of endodontic mastery practice training. Suzie has been married for 31 years and has 3 wonderful children as well as 1 precious grandson and grand-dog! She is an avid seamstress and likes to dedicate most of her free time to making scrap quilts and other cool items for her family

I am so happy I found Dr. Torgeson as my dentist and his staff. Ann was my dental hygienist and she was so good, so thorough and gave me lots of tips to take care of my teeth. This is one time that I am very thankful for my insurance change because it forced me to find a new dentist and I absolutely love Mountain Stream Dental and the staff there. They also are very caring about checking what your insurance covers.

Excellent dental care, I was so relieved because I have extreme dental anxiety and Dr. Gerald Torgeson did a great job. He is kind and gentle yet really knows how to take care of my cavities. He went out of his way to help me when the office was closed for a day after holiday. I highly recommend Dr. Torgeson.

I had and amazing time at Mountain Stream Dental! I had every question answered for me perfectly along with an amazing teeth cleaning. I met Anne, the dental hygienist who helped take care of my teeth, and she is the most kind and professional person I have ever had the opportunity to meet.

All staff was really kind, patient, and thoughtful. I paused my dental visits throughout the pandemic and now wanted to restart routine care. The hygienist, Ann, was understanding and helpful in getting me comfortable with cleanings again. She was thorough in her care and explanations of what to consider and what she was doing. I would recommend giving them a try for sure.

Extremely rude and pushy staff. Not professional at all. Back story: was told at time of my appointment that there was no co pay and I didn't owe anything for the consultation, mind you this was back in September/October well jump forward to today when Jen calls me to discuss the balance I "supposedly" owe. Jen was super snarky about me not checking my mail when I have 3 jobs and work 7 days a week, checking the mail is not my first priority. I paid my balance because it wasn't worth a fight and it was only 5 dollars but Jen continued to be rude forcing me to end the call, well then Jen saw my review and called me and left a super condescending voicemail. Jen is extremely unprofessional and rude. Will not be returning to this dentist.

I absolutely love this dentist office! Everyone here is always so nice and friendly, and so time efficient! No long waits in the office. You show up, and boom your called in and they are helping you instantly. This is a great dentist office, I am so glad my insurance Is accepted here!

I needed some dental work done quickly, I was in tremendous pain. They got me in with no appt. and took care of me quickly and with amazing attention to my needs and I feel so much better when I left. I would recommend the Doctors and the entire staff to everyone.

I really like this place. My first Dentist's since I moved to Oregon. Happy to have found such a great place. Anne is a great hygienist, really takes the time to explain everything she is doing and why. Nice clean office, just a good overall practice. Definitely recommend.

I love what this place has done for me. I didnt have insurance and that was not an impediment , they helped me out in what i needed and i have brought in family members to get treated too !!! Recommended!!!

I cannot recall feeling so comfortable in a dentist office. The vibe is always warm and welcoming. These folks there have a wonderful comradery. Their work is superlative. If you're lucky you might hear the Doc hum softly while he works. Thanks, again everyone.
