At Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery, we stay up-to-date on the latest technology for the benefit of our patients. We place your well-being above all else and spare no expense when it comes to your personalized care. If you are looking for a state-of-the-art oral surgery facility, you have come to the right place!

Intraoral x-rays are the most common type of dental radiograph. To conduct a digital intraoral x-ray, a small electronic sensor is placed in the mouth. The sensor allows us to capture images of your teeth, roots, and supportive bone without the use of film slides. The position of the electronic sensor is dictated by the type of intraoral x-ray you need.

Digital x-rays omit up to 90% less radiation than a film x-ray. They also allow us to magnify or manipulate the image to gain a more comprehensive overview of your oral structures. Without the film development process, we can retake an x-ray instantly and share them electronically, all without affecting the environment.

CBCT scans allow us to better determine the root cause of a symptom or problem. They also allow us to develop more precise surgical plans for dental implants, tooth extractions, bone grafting, gum grafting, and many other restorative procedures. In other words, CBCT and 3D imaging have revolutionized the way we perform oral surgery.

They care more about a stinking mask on you more than caring for your dental work! No scientific evidence for a fraud or a state or federal law...

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. They continued to bill me -- me _personally_, not my insurance (their words) -- for a charge that they were not contractually permitted to bill. For five months following my procedure. And for two months following their receipt of payment IN FULL for said procedure. And after I and my insurance representatives called them twice to let them know to stop billing it because it could not be paid. This is also _after_ they listed the wrong provider on their first claim to my insurance, causing that claim to be initially denied. They are careless, unprofessional, and scammy. They are trying to squeeze folks for any extra money they can get, which has a really bad look to it following a worldwide pandemic. Will not be returning. Awful customer service and awful business etiquette.

My overall experience has been great the few times i have been treated. The only few things i noticed that need attention are the chair for patients needs maintenanced and post operations the patient should be given ample time to recover from sedation. I did not remember leaving the facility nor did i remember the ride home. I think if a patient is permitted to regain complete consciousness that would be better.

For my first experience with oral surgery, all my nervousness was totally uncalled for. I was expecting pain and agony like I experience with dental fillings, caps, etc. Other than the IV stick, totally no pain and the anesthesia worked perfectly. Last thing I remember was a nurse adding An injectable in the IV line....then I'm in my car on the way home with no recollection of what happened after the meds injection to the IV!! Staff was very friendly and pleasant-I'd recommend this group for any oral procedures. Can't believe I'm saying I had a nice time getting an extraction and post installed pre-implant.!!!

Stay away from this place! My daughter had her wisdom teeth cut out and before they were finished, she woke up screaming! Dr Rodriguez didn't put her back to sleep. When they called to let me know she was finished, they brought her out to the car and she was sobbing! She could not talk, I couldn't understand what she was saying, so I grabbed her book bag from the backseat and had her write it down! My daughter was treated terrible, she was told "almost done" over and over again after she woke up screaming as loud as she could!! He yelled at her and treated her worse than anyone has EVER treated her in her life! She's a student at Marshall University with straight A's. She's my daughter. This shouldn't have happened! I will be contacting every single person I know and I will be hiring an attorney. Remember this... Social Media is a powerful place, thousands will know about this! If you are reading this review, please avoid this place!

My appointment was at 8:30 am. I didn't get called back for over an hour and a half. I was there to get 4 bottom teeth cut out, 3 on one side and 1 on the other. The nurses and staff were amazing and explained everything to me to where I could understand. The surgeon came in and looked in my mouth and said he's been doing this for 30 years and left the room, you could hear him repeating himself over and over "unbelievable" this is "unbelievable" over and over again because he couldn't locate an implant for the patient in the room beside of me. He was aggravated and hateful. When he came in the room he he grabbed my arm and rubbed something on it and told me "don't move your arm, little pinch" and proceeded to find a vein, and then told me "I failed because you moved"... I was still crying and the woman with dark brown hair and brown eyes was holding my hand and looking at my tears just fall, and telling me "it's okay". He then grabbed my hand and said "don't move your hand" I said "I'm not and I didn't move my arm at all" he stuck me in my hand and found a vein. He was still rushing and acting hateful, I didn't want that woman to let go of my hand. I fell asleep, and woke up to him working on the one tooth on the bottom right side and I was hysterical, crying in tremendous pain, and I tried to move my head and he yelled at me. He also told me "I needed to cooperate" BUT I was just laying there crying because it hurt so bad!! Everyone in that room SAW that I woke up, THEY ALL SEEN I was in tremendous pain and they also seen how Dr Rodriguez acted with me. I will never ever go back there. I will tell my family, my friends, and I hope everyone reads this review and chooses a different location/or says they want a different doctor. When you're reading the reviews and see someone say "I woke up during surgery and the surgeon didn't care and was rushing to get it done" ITS TRUE. Everyone there was great that I dealt with, except Dr Rodriguez

I had a wonderful experience with Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are fantastic! I was extremely nervous to have oral surgery done, so much so that I put it off for years. Now that it's all said and done, I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. The staff and Dr. are friendly, professional, and make you feel safe/comfortable. During the procedure I could feel someone nicely patting my arm as a way of comforting me. I look forward to coming back for more dental work/implants in the future because of the great experience. Thanks for all you do!

Everyone should ask for a consult from them and mouth exam so you know what to expect.I ended up with a 2 thousand dollar surprise fee to have bones shaved from my mouth in order for my dentures to fit right I felt obligated and pressured since I was already in the surgery chair or table signing all kinks of other forms. Now I will have to wait a long time before I can afford my dentures

I was told that we don't have to pay for the x-ray if we had x-ray at our dentist office which I had, when I went to the procedure room, they said they don't have x-ray from dentist office and they want me to pay $100 for that, I had already waited for 1 hour for my appointment, I was disappointed and left, now I got a bill for the X-ray, I called the office and now the billing person tell me that they have the x-ray but they're going to look at whether it is in the last six months or not, I think they're keep playing the games. Please look for unnecessary charges if you have any visit with them, also be prepared that you're going to stay for half day there, they feel like your time is not valuable. Please check about all of the expected charges and also they have all of your dentist records / x-rays before you go for a visit with them rather than wasting your money and have multiple x-rays for no reason and also your time to call the office multiple times.
