At Mountain State Oral and Facial Surgery, we stay up-to-date on the latest technology for the benefit of our patients. We place your well-being above all else and spare no expense when it comes to your personalized care. If you are looking for a state-of-the-art oral surgery facility, you have come to the right place!

Intraoral x-rays are the most common type of dental radiograph. To conduct a digital intraoral x-ray, a small electronic sensor is placed in the mouth. The sensor allows us to capture images of your teeth, roots, and supportive bone without the use of film slides. The position of the electronic sensor is dictated by the type of intraoral x-ray you need.

Digital x-rays omit up to 90% less radiation than a film x-ray. They also allow us to magnify or manipulate the image to gain a more comprehensive overview of your oral structures. Without the film development process, we can retake an x-ray instantly and share them electronically, all without affecting the environment.

CBCT scans allow us to better determine the root cause of a symptom or problem. They also allow us to develop more precise surgical plans for dental implants, tooth extractions, bone grafting, gum grafting, and many other restorative procedures. In other words, CBCT and 3D imaging have revolutionized the way we perform oral surgery.

I had 3 teeth pulled in Kanawha city office. They were the best from the receptionist to the lady that called and check on me a couple hours after I got home. The nurses in the back. Everyone that office will make u feel like home.i was a nervous wreck but they keep me calm and relaxed............I would recommen them for anyone to go there. As for me And my family will try our best to have them pull any more teeth we need done

My dentist office clearly stated that I was needing a tooth removed and that a Zometa infusion was given 3 months earlier when they called to set up a referral. I then spoke with Mt State personally and was told to obtain a release with specific instructions from my oncologist stating the tooth could be removed. I missed an entire day of work, drove over an hour one way, only to be told that they would not pull my tooth because I had received a zometa infusion, not even more than 20 minutes in the office, was then referred back to my dentist for a search to find a solution for pain relief elsewhere. They then billed my insurance for a consultation fee of $247, having to pay for no services being provided. I feel this was a total scam to collect an easy consultation fee knowing there would be no services provided after multiple conversations with the concerns of having the zometa infusion and being told clearly that i would be taken care of that all I needed was the release from my oncologist which I obtained. I had used Mountain State for 3 other family members on 5 different occasions over the past 10+ years with great and wonderful results, and was shocked to receive such poor services for myself. My oncologist has helped me to find a different establishment for the needs of an oral surgeon going forward.

Do not go here. I went to have a tooth taken out. I waited along with entire waiting room full of people for a hour and half past my waiting time. Then i get back there and the entire staff doesn't know what's going on. Everything was very disorganized. They had another patience chart on the screen with all his information including his social security number on the screen. They came in to do my iv and she said she couldn't even feel my veins. She finally got it "in". They said they gave me the medication but the sedation didn't work. I was a little confused and tired but that's all. The dr kept telling me that it would only take 5 mins and put a towel over my face. I really thought they were going to hold me down and do it anyways. I told him I did not want to have it removed while I was awake. (I think they did my iv wrong) They basically threw me out after that. After trying to call another office that I have been sedated before and everything went perfectly they informed me that they sent a referral to CAMC and they can no longer help me bc I was fighting the sugergon to be sedated .that's not at all what happened. The charleston location was dirty, disorganized, unprofessional and honestly felt like I was in a nightmare once he put that cloth over my face to "try to get me to sleep"..

Went to the Charleston office for Oral surgery and what an amazing experience! Anna took amazing care of me while I was there and called me after hours to check on me to see if I had any questions and make sure I was doing well! So excited to make this review and give the top five stars to all at the office in Charleston WV!

Very professional atmosphere. Staff are very polite and helpful. Thankfully, they spent the extra time with me to find out what my situation was before performing the extraction scheduled. They ended up saving me time and money and offered a plan that fit best for my particular needs. I would definitely recommend them.

Very cold environment, fake, and horrible bedside manner.tv will say the opposite on repeat but it's just because all these reviews are friends and family of the staff. Pulled my wisdom teeth and the procedure was fine, I can't complain about that. But after I woke up the dentist didn't give any information on what I should do after the surgery. Dude was just gone, it was just a bunch of info on a packet. Would've been a lot cooler to been able to ask the doc some questions I can't answer from this packet. I'd find a different place unless you live right next to it. Now I just have to hope I don't get dry socket

Surgeon was thorough in description of procedure laying out risk and benefits. Appeared very knowledgeable and confident. He accomplished the surgery leaving me with none of the possible negatives. I was nervous but the nurses were outstanding and very kind in the way they dealt with me.

Everyone on staff was extremely friendly and helpful, could not ask for a better oral team, had a bad Abscess they not only saw me the same day but had it drained and the tooth out within 30 minutes of my arrival, and with such a great job barely any pain the next day. 10 out of 10 this place is great
