Intraoral x-rays are the most common type of dental radiograph. To conduct a digital intraoral x-ray, a small electronic sensor is placed in the mouth. The sensor allows us to capture images of your teeth, roots, and supportive bone without the use of film slides. The position of the electronic sensor is dictated by the type of intraoral x-ray you need.
Digital x-rays omit up to 90% less radiation than a film x-ray. They also allow us to magnify or manipulate the image to gain a more comprehensive overview of your oral structures. Without the film development process, we can retake an x-ray instantly and share them electronically, all without affecting the environment.
CBCT scans allow us to better determine the root cause of a symptom or problem. They also allow us to develop more precise surgical plans for dental implants, tooth extractions, bone grafting, gum grafting, and many other restorative procedures. In other words, CBCT and 3D imaging have revolutionized the way we perform oral surgery.

I have extreme anxiety, but Jose and his team truly made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Jennifer was a complete angel! Love her personality!! They took very good care of me, and checked on me after I made it home, which meant a lot! I haven't had any complications and would highly recommended them to anyone getting work done! Very good people!

I Had an apt at 2:30 they left me in pain and wouldn't do anything for me and was very rude. They lied and said they faxed over my paperwork after my OB gave them the ok over the phone and I also brought paperwork in from my OB doctor. The nurse said it wasn't good enough couldn't tell my OB what kind of meds they was giving me, they still haven't faxed over no paperwork if I could I would give them no stars I'm pregnant and haven't been able to sleep or eat they said they didn't care smh

It took a while to in but once I was there they did a consultation, had an opening available, and did 2 extractions same day. Had no problem healing or with pain. Would definitely recommend people to use their services.

Had a tooth extraction done where the tooth had completely broken off at the gum line. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I was sedated for the procedure, I remember none of it which is exactly what I wanted. Very little swelling and minimal pain since the procedure. Highly recommend.

Went in for a routine extraction, ended up getting the run around for months. Luckily me not having any work done here was a blessing. This is the most dirty dental office I have ever been into. Not to mention they are grossly understaffed and the wait time proves my point. I was able to have a conversation with one of the employees and determine how bad this company actually is. The source asked to remain anonymous. This inside source let us know mountain state hasn't had any inspectors there in years. I was also informed that they have 1 nurse starting multiple IV's. Even starting IV'S in the neck Im a office setting. It doesn't take a surgeon to understand these things are very dangerous and wrong. The list of corrupt and immoral things they are doing here goes on. Someone has to stop these people before they kill a innocent person. Don't let it be you or your family. Let's hold this health care facility accountable for the negligence going on!!! I hope this can be of service to someone!!

I was a walk in with lots of pain. Nobody else would see me today. I drove all the way from Christiansburg Virginia to see another Dentist and he told me he does not pull teeth he only does root canals. I wanted the tooth out and Mountain State showed pity on me and worked me in. Everyone from the staff was very professional and I would recommend them 100%.

The doctor and his assistant are some of the nicest people you'll meet. I had a problem during my time them and they graciously and kindly talked me through it. They had nothing but, kindness in them and I truly appreciate it.

I was very pleased with my experience at Mountain State Oral in Beckley, WV. I was so nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed. So nervous in fact that I cancelled the appointment multiple times. Their office was very clean & relaxing. The hygienist I had (I wish I had gotten her name, she was great!) was so sweet & made me feel so comfortable. She explained every step to calm my nerves & made the experience as pleasant as possible. My dentist was also so welcoming & helped ease my nerves! I would absolutely recommend this office. I also really appreciated that they called me that afternoon to check on me!

The staff up front and nursing staff was very nice but after the surgery I can't feel the right side of my face and have been having bad muscle spasms. I made a follow up appointment with the Dr. (Dr. Ravelo) who did my surgery and explained to him what was happening and he laughed at me and told me it had nothing to do with the surgery and I needed to see someone else. I explained it's right above the area where my tooth is and have never had this problem till the day I got the surgery and he said still he doesn't know but he didn't have anything to do with it. Basically made his money and won't take any responsibility. Now I have to wait weeks to be seen by someone else. If you get Dr. Ravelo cancel your appointment and ask for someone else

I had extraction & dentures put in. They where all very kind to me. Had it not been for the nurse with the tattoos on her ears , (my apologies as I can't remember her name) I wouldn't have went through it bc my Dentures where not right. She was so comforting that I could use a hug today because getting dentures is so overwhelming. The surgeon was such a nice man that all in all my fear subsided. They treated with respect & kindness. I highly recommend.
