Carley, DDS.. Dr. Carley has been offering comprehensive dentistry services since 2005, and has been the owner of his Santa Barbara practice since 2008. From general dentistry treatments utilizing digital technologies to cutting-edge cosmetic dentistry procedures and advanced implant dentistry services, his office promotes optimum oral health with a personalized touch.
Dr. Carley studied dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was awarded the Oral Medicine Certificate of Merit; this is a testament to his unparalleled knowledge and skills in dentistry and oral medicine. Following graduation, he took an extra year of training in a general practice residency, and expanded his knowledge in the following subspecialties:
Long-time Southern California practitioner Dr. Suzanne Jensen has been practicing dentistry for 24 years and has joined our team here at Mountain and Sea Dental. Dr. Jensen moved here to Santa Barbara in 2013 to be closer to family and the beach. Patients trust her conservative approach and her gentle touch. She believes in treating the whole person and not just the teeth. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile.
In her free time Dr. Jensen enjoys spending time with her husband and 12 year old son. She also enjoys skiing, daily aerobics and her favorite activity quilting. She is a true animal lover and currently has a teacup poodle and a cat.
When you first visit our dental office in Santa Barbara, the first thing you notice is great service! Our staff all work together to make sure youre comfortable and have a great experience. Our success shows in the increasing number of new patients that are entrusting their oral care to us.

I had a hassle with Mountain and Sea Dental. First of all, the dental assistant asked me if I "had Google maps" when I said I got a bit lost on the way there, as I am new to the area. Not like their dentistry has the most obvious store front, given there are about five other dental places all in one strip mall. Secondly, they processed my insurance incorrectly, and then sent me a bill for $500. I had to call about this, and they told me that "there is only one person doing the billing" so they will call me back in three days. This seems a little bit strange that they cannot provide assistance within 24 hours. Lastly, the staff when I called was pretty rude and talked over me and hung up on me when I still had a couple questions. I have had good dentists in the past, and this is not one I would recommend. The actual doctor I saw was knowledgable, but the whole experience was a hassle. Not recommended.

I've had a good experience from 2012-2017. For most of the services in the span of 5 years was pretty good. I am receiving my last service with them since I do not live in the area anymore and live 5 hours away. There was a scheduling issues and was impressed how it was handled. Customer service goes a long way.

This is a nice office with great technology especially the laser Frenectomy treatment for newborns with lip and tongue tie! So glad to have found them. New mothers, no reason to suffer breastfeeding, there is treatment for the condition and it's a life changer!

I love the crew at mountain and sea dental. They always make me feel safe and comfortable. I have had a fear of the dentist since I was a child, but they work well to accommodate me and are very professional.

Dr. Carley is a true artist at his profession. He created an outstanding and beautiful smile for me ! I am so thankful and I cant stop "smiling ". He truly has a mastery of the latest in technology and his skills are superb. He understands how to make you feel comfort in a long process (without anesthesia) which demonstrates his perfectionist skills! I experienced Dr. Carley here to be sociopathic, utterly unethical and inhumane. He became visibly aggressive with me, intentionally destroyed documents in an attempt to cover his own interests and go against an agreement we had, and the rest of his staff lied right along with him. Dentistry under the best conditions is anxiety-provoking and he has no empathy for that, infact he will take advantage of you when you are vulnerable. It's disgusting. His work has been questionable and apparently he resorts to unethical behaviors when confronted. I found this all deeply disturbing and would not wish him or Dr. Sugar or any of his other morally depraved staff on my worst enemy. And FYI he treated me this way after I was his loyal and trusting client for several years. He is not as he appears with his smiley nice guy act, underneath it he is a bully and very dark.

I never spend long in the waiting room, and they've done a great job helping me fix my teeth. They're also great with rescheduling, when I miss an appointment they're usually able to set another appointment within a few days. I definitely would recommend this place.
