Dr. Carol Soufanati is a native of New Jersey, where she excelled in her academic and practical career at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, receiving her Doctor of Medicine and Dentistry Degree (D.M.D.) with high honors. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Soufanati accepted ahighly sought after position in the General Practice Residency (GPR) Program at HackensackUMC Mountainside Hospital, Montclair NJ. Via this program she continued to rapidly hone and perfect her natural ability to perform all aspects of dentistry.Her efficiency to perform quality dentistry, while displaying compassion and concern for the well-being of patients, garnered the attention of the Program Director and earned her an invitation to join the faculty staff at the conclusion of her residency. She has proudly held the position of Supervising Dentist for the past several years, and feels deeply honored to have the opportunity to give back to the program that bestowed so much on her, and the profession she loves so dearly.

At Mountain Lakes Premier Dental, we do not believe finances should prevent you from receiving the dental care you require. With that being said, we also understand economic situations are widely varied, and we are committed to working with you to make your dental care affordable.
It important to note their is a great difference between dental insurance plans and medical insurance plans. Dental benefits are not determined by the insurance company, but rather the plan your employer negotiates with the insurance company. Your employer determines the benefit level offered to their employees.
Our office will provide you with an estimate of your patient portion (copay) that is expected at the time of service, and we will submit insurance claims on your behalf. On average it takes 3-6 weeks to receive payment. Your insurance company typically provides you an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) detailing how the claim was processed. Note that in some cases the insurance company may not pay anything based on provisions in your contract. Once we have received payment from your insurance company we will provide you with a statement summarizing any remaining balance you may be responsible for. In the event your insurance company denies payment for any reason, you will be responsible for all charges incurred for your care.
