Born in State College, PA, Dr. Ethan A. Lowe earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Evansville, which he attended on a swimming scholarship. He then was accepted at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1999. After running two private practices in the Greater Cleveland area, Dr. Lowe decided that it was time this local boy came home. According to Dr. Lowe, he and his family returned to Happy Valley because the area offers a unique, small-town charm, but with big-city culture and a warm and inviting communitythe perfect place to raise a family.
Dr. Lowe and his wife, Lauren, have two sons, Aidan and Graham, and a daughter, Alexandra and have made their home in State College, within close proximity of the office. They also have two dogs, an ant farm, a worm farm, a frog, and several other assorted pets the kids bring home or acquire in their travels. When not practicing, Dr. Lowe enjoys spending time with his family, boating, travel and attending Penn State sporting events.
In addition, Dr. Lowe spends several days per year furthering his professional education through various courses and conferences across the country, including the Las Vegas Institute, Mid-Continent Orthodontics, and the prestigious Pankey Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Centre Dental Society, and the professional dental fraternity Delta Sigma Delta.

I've been several times for regular cleanings. Everyone is very pleasant. The hygienists do a wonderful job and the cleanings are not nearly as painful as other places I have used. Highly recommend!

Great place. People that work there are friendy. Some people you refer the place to may not think so as much or may not be high classed enough for them. But great for my family and i. Some people just think there better or pefect and there is no one out there that is. I give this place 5 stars.

Family has been going for years and always a pleasant, friendly and timely experience. Switched the kids over here a few years back based on our experience and they have no complaints either (the real tough customers)

My family has been attending Mountain Family Dental for over 10 years. They are always on time. They accommodate both adults and children very well. We love the service we have received there, and we've referred many friends over the years. They also offer a great annual plan for those without dental insurance.

Every time we go to the dentist, I am so impressed by the staff. Dr Lowe is fine but the women in that office are amazing. The hygienists take their time and make you want to be their friends, the dental assistants are considerate and easy to talk to, and the ladies at the front desk are the nicest, most helpful and accommodating people I've ever dealt with - even my kids love them all. Having a good dentist is important but going to the dentist and knowing you are going to have a great experience and be cared for with such kindness every step of the way sets this place apart. In short, behind this great dentist and all these is a staff of wonderful women making going to the dentist a pleasant experience (and making sure you're able to make the most of your dental coverage ).

My wife and I have been going to Mountain Family Dental for many years and we have always had positive experiences with Dr. Lowe and his staff. They are always easy to work with as far as scheduling and billing is concerned. The office is very clean and we are always treated with professionalism.
