'My mission is making patients smile. Whether it is getting a patient out of pain, restoring a troubled esthetic area, or giving a patient the ability to eat again - providing a patient with confidence and functioning teeth, in any capacity, is such a reward. It makes all of the past and future hours of training worth it.'
Dr. Smith enjoys extending his knowledge in the dental field through continuing education courses. The courses vary from the latest cosmetic techniques to the newest methods in implant dentistry. He is also certified in WaveOne Endodontic Reciprocation and Invisalign. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is an established member of the Doctor Mastery Program.
Dr. Smith grew up in the northern Virginia area. After he finished school & residency, he started practicing in Alexandria, VA before moving out west to open Mountain Crest dental in 2017. When he isn't caring for his patients, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his wife Meagan, son Cameron, and daughter Parker. He played soccer for many years, but now enjoys tennis and skiing. He is also an avid hiker, and enjoys taking his dog Winnie for long hikes around the valley. Dr. Smith loves traveling and exploring new places, but he will always be happy at home spending time with his family.

A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear, and I strive to give my patients a high-quality smile they can truly be proud of. I feel blessed to be able to practice dentistry, and I want to give back to the community that has given so much to me.'
Dr. McCartin is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Student Dental Association, Arizona Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Academy of Laser Dentistry. He enjoys taking continuing education classes and is always looking for opportunities to advance his clinical skills and better serve his patients.
'My family is everything to me. In my free time, I love spending time with my wife, sons and all of my relatives. I am an artist at heart, and my hobbies include drawing, woodworking and playing guitar. I also enjoy sports, camping, fishing and exploring the beautiful state of Arizona. My family and friends would probably tell you I 'm a bit of a Lord of the Rings and Star Wars nut!'
