Dr. Jasbir Cheema, DDS, started his practice in the US in 2001 and has earned the reputation of being one of the most reliable dentists in Los Gatos, CA. Dr. Shilpa Mehta got her Bachelor of Dental Sciences degree from Government Dental College in Ahmedabad, India, in the western state of Gujarat. When she graduated from high school, there were either one or two dental colleges in the entire state now, there are nearly a dozen! Shilpa moved to the Bay Area in 1993 and has lived here ever since. Wanting to experience a high-quality, American-style university education, she enrolled at the UCSF School of Dentistrys International Dental Studies Program and earned her Doctor of Dental Sciences degree in 2004. Shilpa has worked as a dentist steadily in the Bay Area over the past 20 years. She enjoys learning and engaging with her patients and colleagues, sharing stories about travel and other world experiences. She loves dentistry, and always knew she wanted to be one since middle school! She enjoys teaching and is also a part-time instructor at a local hygiene college. She enjoys traveling, reading and fitness, and spending time with her family and her 10-year-old Labradoodle, Chloe.

I never had much knowledge of proper oral health until visiting Mountain Bay Dental. Unlike other dentists I've visited, Dr. Youseph was very knowledgeable and explained things in an easy to understand manner. He is skilled in his craft and so are the other clinic members. The clinic is also very clean and tidy. Highly recommend!

Dr. Anwar is an amazing dentist, very courteous and professional. I used to be a little anxious going to the dentist but him and the rest of the staff continuously put me at ease. They educated me throughout the process on the state of my oral health and how to stay healthy. The clinic is super clean and organized and all the staff are very nice and respectful. Would highly recommend!

I had my Invisalign work done here and had a great experience. I appreciate the patience and care from Dr. Cheema and his team. The office has a quiet, professional, and relaxing atmosphere. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them.

Worst experience ever had.. I paid $4000 invisalign costs , for the past 3 yrs, I have to seen a different doctor and had a differnt opinion each time.my teeth have not changed at all in 3 years. I have wasterd my money and time. This is the worst dental office I have ever seen in my life. Don't go.

I had a great experience with Mountain Bay/Cheema Dental. I had major tooth pain (which my previous dentist did not address very well). They quickly scheduled me an appointment and quickly diagnosed the issue. The issue required some minor oral surgery which they also quickly scheduled for me at their Pleasanton office. They replaced the crown and have removed all of my pain and prescribed the appropriate medications for my gum healing. In addition, I received phone calls from both offices checking on how I was feeling the next day. I would highly recommend them.

This review is long overdue. Since I've wanted to write a long and detailed review, I kept putting off getting started. TLDR: Dr. Cheema's office provides me with exceptional general care and Invisalign treatment. I'm almost done with Invisalign, and it's been great! ***** I started coming to Dr. Cheema's office in March 2018, and I've had a wonderful experience. I initially came only to consult about Invisalign, but ended up staying to do both the Invisalign process and get general dental care. Due to various childhood and adult experiences, I am a VERY nervous patient, and my anxiety doesn't help. I cry VERY easily... even when the doctor is only talking to me. During my first visit, keep in mind it was supposed to be a consult, Dr. Cheema and his assistants gained my trust when they were kind and compassionate, walking me through my options and gently encouraging me to start my general dental care that day regardless of my plans for Invisalign. In other offices, I've felt like money signs were hanging off me when the office manager would be called to talk to me about prices. At Dr. Cheema's office, they were able to remove that sense of pressure and showed genuine care for me. As a result, I begin my general care that day!! Dr. Cheema stayed late with me as I was his last patient, and he and his staff calmly managed my anxiety. I ended up having to get a temporary crown, and I was freaking out. It felt like a huge hit on my sense of self, so I cried quite a bit. Their patient demeanor made it possible for me to commit to Invisalign a few days later. I am, clearly not the perfect patient, and they've worked with me to help me improve my dental hygiene and get appropriate care that matches my needs. Rather than transmit a sense of judgement, they communicate belief in my ability to improve and provide firm but gentle feedback. My Invisalign treatment has been great. I got Propel, and I did notice faster movement of my teeth. Whenever I've had concerns about the trays or alignment, Dr. Cheema and his staff have readily responded. They always take into account my feedback. Sylvia, one of the receptionists, goes above and beyond to provide appointment reminders and answer questions about my treatment. A few months ago, I had to get a cavity filled on my front, right tooth. Of course, I was feeling terrible about it, beating myself up because I felt it could have been avoided. That tooth was previously part of an intense crowding, so it was hard to reach. They explained that to feel the cavity, they would have to make the gum recede, so I was ready for a painful experience. I didn't have anything to worry about! Dr. Shi, a recent hire, provided me with the best dental care I've had in the Bay Area. I didn't cry at all! The first time ever! Granted, it can be a number of things that made the experience better...I've become more comfortable in dentist offices. I am more committed to my dental hygiene. My Invisalign investment motivates me.Whatever it might be, I am grateful that Dr. Cheema and his staff have reframed how I engage with dental care. My Invisalign treatment is almost over, and everyday I am happier about my beautiful smile!
