Dr. Maria Teresa Cook is a Board Certified General Dentist with over 20 years of experience. She loves all phases of general dentistry and has a broad-based clinical knowledge of cosmetic dentistry, implants, crowns, and veneers.
She completed Internships at the National Neurological Institute, Childrens Cardiology Institute, San Jose Hospital and the Oncology Institute. After practicing Dentistry over 5 years she moved to the USA and enrolled at Louisiana State University, where she earned her US Dental License in 2004.
Dr Cook has worked throughout South Florida since 2005 , at many different dental offices while perfecting her skills. Most recently she has been working the last 5 years at Center for Dental Implants in Aventura alongside, a well known expert in Implant Dentistry . He spends his time lecturing and teaching the skills necessary in Implant Dentistry to dentists all over US. Dr Cook manages his practice specializing in Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry , all the while, continuously improving her knowledge in Implants and Bone Graft techniques.She excels at all phases of general dentistry and has a wealth of knowledge from Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Restorations, Crowns,Root Canals and Veneers.
Nazareth is an integral part of the Mount Zion Dental practice and serves as the team leader for all the dental assistants. She has her Dental Assistant certification as well as her expanded function certificate.
At mount Zion Dental she has learned how to work with Dr. cook and learn how to listen, make patients feel comfortable and to give them the confidence that they are not alone, together we can prevent and manage their oral health

Very professional and friendly staff, I have known Dr. Cook for years now and can say her Dentist Practice is Top Shelf, Very Reasonable , and my smile had been restored with her touch. Dr. Cook & staff has enhanced my quality of Life without any pressure to do so. Advisement, regular cleanings and even Amazing general cosmetic work has given me confidence i haven't had for many years. Thank you Dr. Cook!! Worst dental experience of my life here. The Dentist was unprofessional and disrespectful during a filling. She bruised my top and bottom lips during the procedure. She did things too make the procedure painful. At the same time she blamed and chastised me for what she was doing. Never will be back.
